ALCHEMY – the philosophy and practice of purifying, maturing and perfecting elements – is the inspiration behind Donghia’s 2017 Furniture and Lighting Collection.

For more than 40 years, Donghia has been synonymous with visionary American design and exquisite craftsmanship. Designed in Manhattan and made from the world’s finest materials, the 2017 Alchemy collection advances Donghia’s legacy of urban, contemporary design, legendary comfort, grounded in old-world artistry.

Wood, metal and glass have been worked upon by hand, tradition and time. Imagination becomes reality and beauty takes functional shape as wood suggests movement, metal energizes line, glass appears liquid.

Dovetail joinery links open-pore walnut, ancient stone and patinated stainless steel to create the entirely unique Rook Console. Sapphire glass fired and molded near Venice, defies logic and defines beauty when topped with a solid walnut top to become the Beaker End Table. The sensuous lines of the Curve Sofa—constructed by hand of maple, steel, and down, wrapped by an antique satin stainless steel belt, welcomes you to sit and cradles when you do.
