SWA Group: www.swagroup.com Alameda Marina Village Alameda Marina Village redevelops an obsolete naval shipyard into a vibrant water-oriented community with interconnecting lagoons, shoreline and neighborhood parks, marina facilities, residences, and mixed-use buildings along the Alameda estuary of San Francisco Bay. The project recycles historic structures for commercial and office uses. A mile-long linear shoreline park and extensive pedestrian and bicycle routes provide connections to parks, marina, restaurants, and shopping, while a system of lush lagoons buffers private homes from public areas and extends the estuary’s character into the site. SWA provided master planning for the overall project and site planning and landscape architectural services for the entry, roads, marina, rec center, shoreline park, the residential neighborhoods and some office buildings.
