Update. As of Nov 3Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas warned in September, "Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours. [Israelis] have no right to desecrate it with their filthy feet." The Palestinian struggle for legitimacy has been embodied in one phrase — intifada — that is supposed to lead to global Palestinian redemption. Intifada, literally to "shake off," is a reminder to "shake up" Israel and alert the world to all the wrong that is done to the Palestinians as a result of the Israeli "occupation."

Cees just a few days ago Zawahiri introduced AQ’s likely new terror king Hamza bin Laden who in his first statement said; “The ultimate goal is to destroy Israel and “free” the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, which is under threat of destruction by Israel.”, Zawahiri stressed as far back in 2005: a bird whose wings are Egypt and Syria, and whose heart is Palestine.” The “heart of the Islamic world.” Apparently the last few day’s he stressed to focus on:” the jihadists must strike the West and build states in the Levant and Egypt in order to “liberate” Jerusalem”. “The Americans, Russians, Iranians, Alawites, and Hezbollah are coordinating their war against us — are we not capable of

stopping the fighting among ourselves so we can direct all our efforts against them?” Zawahri said in Sunday’s message, as translated by Reuters. He also says that in order to “liberate” Jerusalem, jihadis must attack “the West, and especially America, in its heartland,” according to the report. In a likely

supportive and coordinated event in an early Nov released statement: AQAP and AQIM accused the Islamic State of "deviation and misguidance" for aiming their fight against fellow Muslims when they should be fighting Jews and Christians. Prior to that Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours; Palestinian leader Abbas declared: "We bless every drop of blood spilled for Jerusalem. This is clean and pure blood, blood that was spilled for God. It is Allah's will that every martyr will go to heaven and every injured person will receive God's reward." With Russian and Syrian forces putting real pressure on the sustainability of Daesh elements in Syria and reports indicating that many of their fighters are looking for a way out, Zawahiri offers them to join –AQ- the forces and focus on an offer that they should not be able to refuse: Jerusalem. Moreover with the health status of Baghdadi unknown and Daesh leadership and forces under heavy pressure and bombardment, using human shields to find some way of protection and diverting the attacks, Zawahiri could have assessed that momentum is likely there. By doing so AQ effort to get Daesh elements back into its Orbit is set in motion and AQSL Phase V of their long term plan could be activated. If true than start thinking regarding Phase 6.

According to Rita Katz, director of SITE Intelligence Group, who narrated Hamza’s message in a tweet, “Hamza Bin Laden calls to move the war from Kabul, Gaza & Baghdad, to Washington, London, Paris and Tel Aviv,” urging Al Qaida’s adherents that doing so is their “duty.” The documents found in Osama Bin Laden’s Abbottabad residence revealed that Terrorist #1 had been raising his junior offspring to become the head of Al Qaida one day. The importance of succession in the Middle East must never be underestimated. While Bin Laden’s former right-hand man, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has been leading Al Qaida group since Osama’s death, he could as well hand over the reins of power to Hamza as the new symbol of the organization.

“With Hamza, AQ hopes to renew the popularity of AQ by reviving the brand of “AQ = Bin Laden,” said Katz, noting that Al Qaida leadership want Hamza to become a “loved and inspirational” leader of the organization who has not been involved in infighting. Hamza bin Laden’s message contains an indirect indicator that Al Qaida wants to get back to the terror Olympus: significantly, the address does not mention ISIS.

In a Nov 2, new 26-minute-long video statement, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said the Islamic caliphate declared by the Islamic State was illegitimate, dismissively referring to that militant organization as "Baghdadi's' group," a reference to its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

In their statement, AQAP and AQIM accused the Islamic State of "deviation and misguidance" for aiming their fight against fellow Muslims when they should be fighting Jews and ChristiansZawahiri understanding the power of The Force within: The ruling Fatah movement's tweet on "hibat al-Quds" or the "Jerusalem awakening" blessed by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas, was, "A symphony of love for Jerusalem. If the occupation wants to hear it again and again, it should continue invading Jerusalem, attacking our noble women and desecrate our Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza) and our Jerusalem."-- "Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours. Abbas declared: "We bless every drop of blood spilled for Jerusalem. This is clean and pure blood, blood that was spilled for God. It is Allah's will that every martyr will go to heaven and every injured person will receive God's reward."

Ayman al Zawahiri says the jihadists must strike the West and build states in the Levant and Egypt in order to “liberate” Jerusalem; a bird whose wings are Egypt and Syria, and whose heart is Palestine.”. Cees remember: The Fifth Phase This will be the point at which an Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared. The plan is that by this time, between 2013 and 2016, Western influence in the Islamic world will be so reduced and Israel weakened so much, that resistance will not be feared. Al-Qaida hopes that by then the Islamic state will be able to bring about a new world order.

Hamza bin Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden; ‘Crown prince of terror’ "My beloved father, I announce to you that I and everyone, God be praised, are following on the same path, the path of jihad."

Islam is under attack by the Crusaders, Hamza Bin Laden argues. He describes the Crusader enemy as an evil bird. The head of the bird is America; the wings are Israel and NATO; and the body is the “apostate” leaders of the Muslim states who serve the Crusaders like the Saudis. Al Qaida's goal is to destroy the bird's head—America—which will kill the bird. Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Egyptian emir of Al Qaida, introduces the young bin Laden in a clear effort to underscore his legitimacy as the heir to Osama bin Laden.

Cees Hamza bin Laden mentioning “the bird” is of specific interest as Zawahiri used it before: On July 9, 2005 a 6,500-word letter from Zawahiri, al-Qaida’s second in command, to Zarqawi, the “emir” of the organization in Iraq, was intercepted. It was later published on October 6 Zawahiri likens the area to “a bird whose wings are Egypt and Syria, and whose heart is Palestine.” The “heart of the Islamic world.” This area includes “al-Sham [greater Syria], Egypt, and the neighboring states of the [Arabian] Peninsula and Iraq,” and Zawahiri likens the area to “a bird whose wings are Egypt and Syria, and whose heart is Palestine.” It is where “the greatest battles in the history of Islam” have been fought. Hamza using it; the Bird, in his first official statement is of concern, and did we pay attention, likely not.

Even at the age of 16, Hamza appeared, imprecating dire threats against the West, in a video made for his older brother Mohamed’s wedding. He read the verses: “Accelerate the destruction of America, Britain, France and Denmark. Oh God, reward the fighters hitting the infidels and defectors. God, be pleased with those who want to go for jihad – and blind those who are watching and want to capture them.” It was this ditty which won him his Crown Prince nickname.

The ultimate goal is to destroy Israel and “free” the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, which is under threat of destruction by Israel.

Zawahiri wants the fighters within Baghdadi’s ranks to stop fighting Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda’s official branch in Syria, and its allies, as well as jihadists elsewhere, so that they can focus on the supposed alliance between America, Europe, Russia, the “Rejectionists” [meaning Shiites and Iran], and the Nusayri [a derogatory reference to Bashar al Assad’s Alawite regime]. Zawahiri alleges that all these parties are “coordinating their war against us” in a joint alliance.

Zawahiri says that the Levant and Egypt are the “two historical gates of Jerusalem” and the battle in those two areas is a fight against the “Crusader-Rejectionist alliance.” Remember: Al Zawahir: "the road to Jerusalem passes through Cairo."

Radical Islam’s “Crusader” Agenda; “These ahādīth indicate that the Muslims will be at war with the… Christians of Europe and their colonies in Shām (“Lands of Islam”) prior to the conquering of Shām at the hands of the Sahābah (closest followers of Muhammad)… This battle ends the era of the Roman Christians…”(Islamic State (ISIS) Magazine:   Dabiq   - Issue 4 , p.34) A Hadith is a “report” describing the sayings or actions by Muhammad. They are secondary sources to the Quran. There is a line from Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to al-Qaeda, Hamas and Islamic State. All are ideologically anti-West and anti-secular. Jerusalem and Al-Haram al-Sharif is a red line for all Muslims. Of course, when Al-Haram al-Sharif is under attack, Palestinians will respond using all possible means to defend their third-holiest site. Although western press mentions this a religious war and Zawhiri playing the card: for now this is not a religious war. It is Palestinians resisting settlers who are pursuing a political agenda of changing the status quo in Jerusalem regarding holy sites, which has been in place since 1967. There is however reason for growing concern as early Oct a Pakistani ex-general said that his country - a nuclear power - couldn’t remain idle over Jerusalem. “Al-Haram al-Sharif, like Mecca and Medina, is in our hearts and blood. We were taught that in the military academies.” Also, One month ago, the Islamic State released a video message to the people of Palestine. The video, in which ISIS members urged Palestinians to remain patient as they actively fight for the caliphate, included a rare public reference to clashes

in Gaza between suspected ISIS affiliates and Hamas earlier this year. For its part, al Qaeda has never had a straightforward relationship with Palestine. To be sure, the terrorist group has long included Palestine in its rhetoric. For one, Palestine was listed as the third most important justification for jihad against the United States in a 1998 declaration. The issue featured in the first ever al Qaeda recruitment video in 2001, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind 9/11, mentioned American support for Israel as his motivation for the attack. Likewise, high-level ideologues such as Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri dedicated time and attention to the issue, the latter referring to Palestine as “our concern and the concern of every Muslim.” Last Sunday, Zawahri said that in order to “liberate” Jerusalem, jihadis must attack “the West, and especially America, in its heartland.”

Al Qaeda chief calls for jihadist unity to ‘liberate Jerusalem’BY THOMAS JOSCELYN | November 2, 2015 | [email protected] | @thomasjoscelyn

Al Qaeda has released a new audio message from Ayman al Zawahiri, who addresses recent events at the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. The audio speech is embedded in a video that is nearly 16 minutes long and features archival footage of Osama bin Laden, a still image of Zawahiri, and scrolling text throughout. Zawahiri begins by alleging that “Muslims everywhere” are upset by the “Jews’ repeated attacks on the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque,” according to a translation obtained by The Long War Journal. He then praises the knife attacks that have been carried out against Jews, saying they are “a new epic of jihad,” in which people “defend Palestine and Al Aqsa with knives, cars, stones, and everything they own.” Zawahiri asks Allah “to bless these martyrdom-seekers who dare to stab the Jews even as they are almost certain that they will be killed at the Jews’ hands.”The al Qaeda leader argues that two things are required to “liberate” Jerusalem.

First, the jihadists must strike “the West, and especially America, in its heartland” and also attack Western interests everywhere they are found. Zawahiri cites a number of previous attacks in the West as part of his call for more terror, including the September 11, 2001 hijackings and the Boston Marathon bombings carried out by the “two Tsarnaev brothers.”

Second, Zawahiri says that Muslims must establish a “state” in Egypt and the Levant in order to “mobilize the ummah to liberate Palestine.” The al Qaeda chieftain uses this point to emphasize one of his key themes. Establishing such states, based on al Qaeda’s radical version of sharia law, “requires unity,” avoiding “disputes and ending “hostilities” between “the mujahideen.” This is a reference to the infighting between the Islamic State, led by Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, and its jihadist rivals in Syria and elsewhere. Therefore, Zawahiri once again calls for jihadist unity against the “mujahideen’s” common enemies. He does not endorse Baghdadi’s self-declared “caliphate.” He has already set forth his extensive critique of Baghdadi’s state in previous messages. And he takes a swipe against Baghdadi’s state again in his latest message, saying that al Qaeda is fighting to resurrect the caliphate based on the “prophetic method,” which requires shura (consultation). Baghdadi did not consult recognized jihadist authorities before declaring that his organization now rules over a “caliphate” covering large portions of Iraq and Syria. But Zawahiri wants the fighters within Baghdadi’s ranks to stop fighting Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda’s official branch in Syria, and its allies, as well as jihadists elsewhere, so that they can focus on the supposed alliance between America, Europe, Russia, the “Rejectionists” [meaning Shiites and Iran], and the Nusayri [a derogatory reference to

Bashar al Assad’s Alawite regime]. Zawahiri alleges that all these parties are “coordinating their war against us” in a joint alliance. He asks why the jihadists are not able to set aside their differences and “direct” all of their “efforts” against them.Addressing jihadists “from every group” around the world, Zawahiri says that the Levant and Egypt are the “two historical gates of Jerusalem” and the battle in those two areas is a fight against the “Crusader-Rejectionist alliance.” The ummah [community of worldwide Muslims] must support this battle however it can, Zawahiri says, because it is a battle “to show” what it means for Muslims to wage an “acceptable jihad” that elevates Allah’s sharia and does “not empower the secularist and national regimes.”Zawahiri wants to build popular support for the jihadists’ efforts, seeing this as key to their victory. “It is a political jihad battle so we could convince the ummah that our conduct is in line with what we call for and does not contradict it and does not drive away the

Muslim people from the mujahideen,” Zawahiri says. Thus, the jihadists must “hone our conduct in order to convince our Muslim people that we are really keen to be ruled over by sharia if we are called to implement it” and do not label other Muslims as non-believers. The jihadists must convince Muslims that they “are the most merciful of people toward our people” and “do not seek to oppress Muslims.” Al Qaeda’s bottom-up approach is, therefore, very different from the Islamic State’s. While they both want to build governments based on sharia law, al Qaeda is much more focused on building legitimacy for its ideological project in the hearts and minds of Muslims. Al Qaeda and its allies want to gradually implement sharia law and eventually resurrect a caliphate. Zawahiri’s organization has adopted this strategy, in part, because it knows that most Muslims are not pining for al Qaeda-style rule. Through its top-down authoritarianism, the Islamic State seeks to convince Muslims that it is a caliphate today

and that its version of sharia law, with its graphic executions and punishments, is divinely justified. (Al Qaeda generally avoids propaganda that focuses on its implementation of sharia’s penalties, whereas the Islamic State explicitly advertises its decapitations and amputations.) From the Islamic State’s perspective, Muslims who do not accept its legitimacy as a “caliphate” are to be terrorized into submission.Zawahiri is not only critical of the Islamic State, with its hard stance, but also other Islamist groups that have adopted softer approaches to achieving their goals. In this “political jihad battle,” Zawahiri says, the Muslim people should be shown that groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, salafists who support the Egyptian regime, and Rached Ghannouchi (a Tunisian Islamist who co-founded the Ennahda Movement in his home country) have erred by allying themselves with the secular governments and corrupt politicians who oppress Muslims. Zawahiri also accuses these Islamists of submitting themselves to agreements that recognize Israel’s legitimacy, “because they have realized that the price for reaching power is the acceptance of the secular constitutions and submission to Israel.” The “mujahideen in Palestine” should fight to build an Islamic government, Zawahiri says, arguing that a “secular government that rejects sharia” in Jerusalem would be unacceptable. Toward the end of his message, Zawahiri again ties Jerusalem to the jihadists’ efforts in the Levant and Egypt. “We must work to establish a Muslim government in the lands neighboring Israel,” he says, and the jihadists’ infighting distracts from this key mission. The clip at the end is used to emphasize that al Qaeda seeks to resurrect a caliphate. A common misconception in the West is that while the Islamic State seeks to conquer territory, al Qaeda only plots terrorist attacks. “Today, praise be to Allah…we are redrawing the map of the Islamic world to make one state under the banner of the caliphate, Allah willing,” bin Laden says in the clip. From Zawahiri’s perspective, the jihadists’ battles in the Levant and Egypt are key to making this goal a reality. Bin Laden’s Son Speaks: Attack U.S. and Israeli TargetsBY BRUCE RIEDEL 8/21/ Picture taken from undated Al Jazeera television footage purportedly shows Hamza bin Osama bin Laden, one of the sons of Saudi-born dissident Osama bin Laden, displaying what the Taliban say is wreckage from a U.S. helicopter near Ghazni. Hamza bin Laden, now 24, has released his first audio message for Al Qaida, which lays out the terrorist group’s ideology and strategy. He is an articulate and dangerous enemy, the author writes. REUTERS/AL-JAZEERA TV This article first appeared on the Brookings site.Hamza bin Laden, the 24-year-old son of Osama bin Laden, has released his first audio message for Al Qaida which lays out the terrorist group’s ideology and strategy. Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Egyptian emir of Al Qaida, introduces the young bin Laden in a clear effort to underscore his legitimacy as the heir to Osama bin Laden. The audio was recorded last May but only released this month by Al Qaida's media arm As-Sahab. Al-Zawahiri introduces Hamza as the son of the "lion" of jihad; in turn, Hamza pledges his loyalty to al-Zawahiri as the emir of Al Qaida. Hamza also pledged loyalty to the Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar, whose death was announced this August.Hamza hails Al Qaida's various franchises in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, the Maghreb, Somalia and India. He also praises Al Qaida's missing prisoners, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 9/11 mastermind, in Guantanamo and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who tried to blow up an airliner on Christmas 2009 in Detroit.

Islam is under attack by the Crusaders, Hamza argues. He urges Muslim believers to attack American and Jewish targets around the world especially in Washington, London, Paris and Tel Aviv. The ultimate goal is to destroy Israel and “free” the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, which is under threat of destruction by Israel. The Palestinians deserve the support of all Muslims but they have been betrayed by the Arab leaders. Hamza tells Al Qaida's faithful that more than a decade of war in Iraq and Afghanistan has already weakened American morale and strength. He notes American opinion has turned against both wars; he alleges America now can only fight by proxy wars because it is too weak and too demoralized to fight major land wars. The young bin Laden praises so called lone wolf attacks inside America and calls for more such attacks like the Boston marathon bombing and the Fort Hood massacre. He praises the perpetrators of those attacks as heroes of the jihad. The young bin Laden is an attractive spokesman for Al Qaida. He was with his father in Afghanistan before 9/11 and with him in Pakistan after 9/11, at least part of the time. He carries the legacy of his father's name and life's work. Hamza and al-Zawahiri never mention the Islamic State or its self-proclaimed Caliph Ibrahim. There are veiled illusions to strife within the global jihad movement, especially in Syria, where Al Qaida's franchise the Nusra Front competes with the Islamic State. Hamza urges cooperation against the Crusaders. Hamza provides a new face for Al Qaida, one that directly connects to the group's founder. He is an articulate and dangerous enemy. By Aislinn Simpson 09 Jul 2008 Hamza Bin Laden, 16, the youngest of the Saudi-born warlord's 18 sons, is claimed to be the author of a poem featured on an extremist website to mark the third anniversary of the July 7 London bombings in which 52 people died. In it, the boy dubbed the Crown Prince of Terror, called for an acceleration in the "destruction" of America, Britain, France and Denmark, the latter singled out for the publishing by its largest selling broadsheet of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed."Oh God, reward the fighters hitting the infidels and defectors. Oh God, guide the youth of the Islamic nation and let them assist with the fighters' plans," he continued. "God, be pleased with those who want to go for jihad – and blind those who are watching and want to capture them. "Grant victory to the Taliban over the gangs of infidels."The poem is thought to have been read out by Hamza himself, and is accompanied by a video clip featuring his father. poem by Sheikh Hamza Bin Laden, may God protect him." Patrick Mercer, the Conservative MP and a former shadow minister for security, said of the reading: "We now have the Crown Prince of Terror taking up his father's mantle." Hamza, the only son from Bin Laden's marriage to his Saudi wife, is believed to be living on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the lawless territory of Waziristan. It is not the first time the boy has been used on film to back his father's cause. In 2001, he featured in a joint Taliban and Al-Qaida video of a militant attack on a Pakistan army camp in South Waziristan. Earlier this year, in a posthumous autobiography published after she was assassinated in political rally in her home country, the former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto named the teenager as the leader of one of a number of gangs plotting to kill her. The allegation, which Bhutto said was reported to her by President Pervez Musharraf and a "friendly muslim government", bolstered intelligence claims that Hamza is being groomed as a future leader of Al-Qaida.

Another Violent Palestinian 'Awakening'?by Asaf RomirowskyThe Washington ExaminerNovember 2, 2015

The Palestinian struggle for legitimacy has been embodied in one phrase — intifada — that is supposed to lead to global Palestinian redemption. Intifada, literally to "shake off," is a reminder to "shake up" Israel and alert the world to all the wrong that is done to the Palestinians as a result of the Israeli "occupation." Past intifadas, including the uprisings in the pre-state era between the 1936-1939, increased Arab-Palestinian consciousness — but brought Palestinians no closer to statehood. Above all, intifada crosses the social barriers between upper, lower and middle classes; all are one when it comes to this national duty. Israeli analysts Ze'ev Schiff and Ehud Ya'ari, in their seminal book Intifada, tackle the first intifada, which is also known as the uprising of 1987. They recount Yasir Arafat's description of the term; intifada was to be like a tremor experienced during a high fever which spreads throughout the body, or the movement a dog makes when trying to rid itself of flees. This image of shaking off disease or infestation gives Palestinians a kind of carte blanche; any form of "resistance" to Israeli "occupation" is justified.Past intifadas increased Arab-Palestinian consciousness, but brought Palestinians no closer to statehood.

Yasir Arafat's ultimate goal was to make the Palestinian cause the flagship for the entire Arab world. Until the Palestinians receive the justice they are divinely owed - the theory goes — the Arab world should not rest. Here, eleven years after Arafat's death, his legacy continues. Arab regimes and Islamist groups like al-Qaeda and others use Palestinians to galvanize their respective causes — whether in Europe, the Middle East or even Berkeley — without real intention of embracing or helping Palestinians themselves. The social media world is based on instant gratification, short attention spans and a microscopic news cycle. The online intifada is therefore more effective than ever. And thanks to it the Palestinian struggle has gone viral, generating more supporters locally and abroad. The ruling Fatah movement's tweet on "hibat al-Quds" or the "Jerusalem awakening" blessed by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas, was, "A symphony of love for Jerusalem. If the occupation wants to hear it again and again, it should continue invading Jerusalem, attacking our noble women and desecrate our Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza) and our Jerusalem."

"Stab, stab," are motivating the youth of Oslo to embrace the new repackaged intifada. This soundtrack has a larger context; for example, in September Abbas announced on Palestinian TV that the "Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours. They have no right to desecrate it with their filthy feet. We won't allow them to do so and we will do everything in our power to defend Jerusalem." In reference to Palestinian rioters on the Temple Mount, Abbas declared: "We bless every drop of blood spilled for Jerusalem. This is clean and pure blood, blood that was spilled for God. It is Allah's will that every martyr will go to heaven and every injured person will receive God's reward."The weight of any intifada is rooted in its absolute adoption of the Palestinian narrative; even the current Palestinian youth that were named the "children of Oslo" know and embrace it. These are children who live online and have no recollection of Oslo. While they have heard about the occupation they really don't know what it means except in the present tense. The corrupt and factional Palestinian Authority is the only government they know. And despite their own issues with it, they are still willing to embrace its call for intifada, tweet it around the globe, and pick up knives. Moreover, now that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the State Department have put the onus of the Palestinians' murderous behavior on the settlements — the "occupation" — they know they also have the tacit backing of the U.S.At the end of the day, the "Jerusalem Awakening" is yet another reminder that rejectionism and violence are more attuned to Palestinian society than Palestinian statehood.Asaf Romirowsky is a fellow at the Middle East Forum and co-author of Religion,

.The dispute between al-Qaeda and the Islamic State has devolved to name-callingIn a Nov 2, new 26-minute-long video statement, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said the Islamic caliphate declared by the Islamic State was illegitimate, dismissively referring to that militant organization as "Baghdadi's' group," a reference to its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.The statement, which was shared on al-Qaeda's Twitter and Telegram accounts on Sunday, was read in Arabic by Khalid Batarfi, an AQAP official, with English subtitles added to the video. It is only the second time that AQAP and AQIM — al-Qaeda's affiliates in Yemen and North Africa, respectively — have released a joint statement, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which described the tone of the message as "scathing." The new statement appears intended to rebuke the Islamic State for a recent speech by its spokesman Abu Muhammad al'Adnani, who had warned that Sunni Muslims who fought against the Islamic State needed to pledge allegiance to the group or face death. In their statement, AQAP and AQIM accused the Islamic State of "deviation and misguidance" for aiming their fight against fellow Muslims when they should be fighting Jews and Christians. "The manhaj [method] of destruction, sowing and stirring dissension and corruptions, confusing efforts, making takfir [branding as an infidel] upon those who disagree with them, then this is a manhaj of a feeble and failure [person] who has no perfection except ruin," Batarfi says in the video.Bartafi added that any pledge of allegiance to the Islamic State was null anyway, because the caliphate declared by Baghdadi was formed through force and violence rather than consultation and mutual consent. The AQAP-AQIM statement is the latest message highlighting the disagreement between

the two groups. Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, had warned against discontent within the Sunni Muslim world and called for unity in a recent series of messages. These statements, dubbed the "Islamic Spring" series, appeared to leave open the possibility of al-Qaeda working with the Islamic State, while still maintaining that the Islamic State's caliphate was invalid. However, the speech by the Islamic State's Adnani had seemed to disdain Zawahiri's message, warning Muslims opposed to the group that they were being "tricked by the fatwas of the donkeys and mules of knowledge." The AQAP-AQIM message, in turn, said abuse and insult were "a stratagem of the weak and an approach of the ignorant."The Islamic State was once linked to al-Qaeda, with its roots in a precursor organization called al-Qaeda in Iraq. However, in February 2014, al-Qaeda formally dissociated itself with the Islamic State. Experts have suggested that al-Qaeda's increasingly hostile stance toward the Islamic State is not only an acknowledgement of theological and strategic differences, but also indicative of a growing anxiety as the Islamic State expands to areas such as Afghanistan and Yemen. In an e-mail to WorldViews, Pieter van Ostaeyen, a historian and blogger who follows jihadist movements, suggested that despite the apparent animosity toward the Islamic State in recent al-Qaeda statements, the "underlying message is an attempt to discourage Mujahideen to join IS." On Monday, a new statement from Zawahiri emphasized that "hostilities" between Muslim groups needed to end for the greater good of their cause.

Regards Cees Email-- When oath of allegiance has been taken for two caliphs, kill the one for whom the oath was taken later. Hadith, Book 19, Number 4568: Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: The Messenger of Allah said.

-- ...He who swears allegiance to a Caliph should give him the pledge of his hand and the sincerity of his heart (i.e. submit to him both outwardly as well as inwardly). He should obey him to the best of his capacity. If another man comes forward (as a claimant to Caliphate), disputing his authority, they (the Muslims) should behead the latter....[Sahih Muslim, Book 20, Hadith #4546]
