First of all I would like to thank God Almighty for the success of all our endeavours in the
academic year 2016–17.
Every academic year is a significant milestone. The annual day is an occasion to celebrate, a time
to look back with pride and look ahead with vision. Exploring new horizons, finding new
dimensions in growth, we have continued to do our best in the last academic year.
I take immense pleasure to present the Annual Report of the year 2016-17 to apprise you all, how

Academic Highlights:
The curricular and co-curricular activities go hand in hand in our school. Al-Ameen is proud that
our students have brought laurels to our school this year also. The highlight of the year was the
excellent academic achievements of the children of Class X who wrote the AISSE. A batch of
228 children appeared for the exams. We are proud to announce that we had a 100% result. This
year we had an astounding number of 45 students securing A1 in all subjects. 157 secured
distinction, 61 first class and 10 second class.
For AISSCE 2016-17 we presented 131 students out of which 5 secured full A1, 72 passed with
distinction, 50 first class and 8 second class. The overall toppers were

A Merit Day was organised on 22nd
June 2017 to award these students. Prof. Dr. Rose
Varghese, Vice Chancellor of National University for Advanced Legal Studies honoured the achievers.
The Indus Award instituted by the Al-Ameen Educational Trust for the outstanding student in
academics was awarded to Ms. Firzana Shuja of Class XII. A staff meeting was organized by the
chairman and the Manager to congratulate the meritorious achievement and committed service of
Xth & XIIth teachers.
The Kerala CBSE Sahodaya School Complex (KCSSC) conducted a Merit Evening on 16th
June
2017 to felicitate all the A1 holders, subject toppers and school toppers of 2016-17.
Investiture: On July 8th 2017, the deserving young talents of our school were bestowed with the
responsibility of leading their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and

The Pocso Club conducted a collage competition on 19th
July on the topic “Changing the world
for children.”
The Shikshan Bharathi evaluation for teachers was conducted in the month of July this year also.
The „Matchbox‟ movie fame actors inaugurated the Food Fest organized by the Home
Management club along with the League of Compassion Club. The amount collected for the
same was extended to the poor and the needy.
The Chief Editor of Mathrubhumi Mr. Venugopal inaugurated the Journalism Club on 26th July.
The club also organized a Handwriting Competition exclusively for the left hander‟s in
connection with World Left Hander’s Day. The winners from classes VIII – X First position
Nadeera Nabeel of Class XC second position Sana Jasmine of Class XE and third prize goes to
Devika Rajesh of Class XE. From classes VI & VII Amina Amrin M. S. of class VI A got the
first position.
Mehfil School Fest, a two day literary and cultural competition was held on 28 and 29 July to
identify and encourage the budding talents of our school. The Chief Guest for the event was the
popular actor-comedian Prashanth Punnapra.

The IT club members were taken on a field trip to CUSAT on 10th August by the club teachers
Ms. Fathima Khan and Ms, Rini Joseph.

The Pocso Club members gave an awareness class for Class V-VII students regarding good and
bad touch. They also conducted an Elocution Competition on the topic “Addiction Science” on
17th August.
The 71st Independence Day of our country was observed on 15 August in our school to pay
tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the
independence of India. The national flag was hoisted by Lt. Col. Amit Nigam which was
followed by variety entertainment programmes.
In connection to the Independence Day celebration, the Postal Department of our country
conducted a letter writing competition on the topic Dear Bappu. The students enthusiastically
wrote the letter.
Freedom Quest, a unique initiative of our school was conducted on August 19 to remember and
respect the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the cause of our country. The Chief Guest
for the day was Mr. Sreekandan Nair of the famous Sreekandan Nair Show broadcasted on
Flowers channel. The overall championship was won by Al-Ameen Public School, Edappally
while TocH Public School, Vyttila and Delta Study, Fort Kochi secured the second and third
positions respectively.
The Literary and Debating Club conducted a Poster Making Competition on the topic
“AdhithiDevo Bhava” as part of The World Tourism Day.
A medical checkup was organized by the Sunrise Hospital on 25th September.
Samaritan – Timely help to save a life was an orientation programme conducted by the Rotary
Club of Cochin West along with VPS Lakeshore Hospital and Kochi City Police on 25th
September. Later on 28th October few selected students were taken to the VPS Lakeshore Hospital
to have a closer understanding of Trauma Care.
Children of the school were vaccinated as part of the Measles – Reubella campaign organized by
the Health Department on 3rd
October for eradicating the diseases that lead to severe disabilities in
children. Blood samples of students were collected as instructed by the Health Department to
detect Filariasis.
The IT club conducted an IT Quiz on 26th
September.
The Kids Fest conducted on 6th and 7
th October by our KG section provided ample opportunities
for our tiny tots to participate in various competitions. Popular Cine Artist Shri. Aju Varghese
was the chief guest for the valedictory function.
All days of importance like the Republic Day, Independence Day, Children‟s Day, Teachers Day,
H i r o s h i m a D a y , W o r l d p o s t a l d a y , N C C D a y , M a r t y r ‟ s D a y a n d G a n d h i
Jayanthi were celebrated to evoke patriotism among the children. Important events like the World
Ocean Day, World Blood Donor Day, UN Day, Reading Day, World Population Day and the
World Tourism Day were observed and talks were given by children on the importance of these
days.
Festivities are part of our culture and celebrating festivals are a tradition. Onam, Eid, Christmas
and Kerala Piravi were celebrated with vigour. Children participated with much enthusiasm for
pookalam, vadamvali and Payasam making competitions
Our students participated in the Kerala CBSE School Sahodaya Complex, Ernakulam region
Sahodaya Fest 2017 which was conducted from 28th October - 10
th November 2017 at various
venues in Ernakulam and I am proud to say that many of our students have won several prizes.
Our school hosted the category IV competitions. Two of our students secured prizes in the State
Level Competitions conducted in IES Public School, Chittilappilly, Thrissur.
Reema Jaffar of XIC secured first position in category IV – Kuchipudi and
Fathima Zainab of XIIB won the third position in Category IV – Arabic Recitation

External Competitions
In VISTA 2017 conducted by Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public School, Mohamed Zaman of Class
VIII won the first prize for Painting Competition. Anandu and team won the 3rd
place in Western
music and Nazrin K U and Sumayya A.A of X-E secured the 3rd
place for Fabric Painting.
In Bhoomika competition conducted by SBOA Public School, Meenakshi and Sana Subair of
Class IV won the first and second position respectively in Pencil drawing. Bhadra G Nair and
Nazrin K U won the first place in Collage and Mehnaz of Class XI got second in Mehendi
designing.
Sana Subair of Class IV won third prize and cash award of Rs. 500/- in the Pencil Drawing
competition conducted by the Forest Department as part of “ Vanyajeevi Varaghosham”.
Sagar of Class III & Sana Subair of Class IV won the second and third prize respectively in the
KLM Group Niracharthu Painting Competition .
Mohammed Zaman of Class VIII won the third prize and a cash award of Rs.2000/- in the State
Level Clint Memorial Painting Competition. He also won the First Prize in Pencil Drawing and
second prize in cartooning in the District Level Competition conducted by Library Council.
In the Grace 2017 conducted y KMEA Engineering College Mehrin Saifudheen of Class IX A
got the First Position in Debate and cash award of Rs. 3000/-
Don Bosco School organized an Inter School Competition in which Niya Saliha of XA won the
First Prize in English Story Writing and Nida Mubeen of Class VII E won the Third Place in
English Recitation.
Bhadra G Nair of Class XD won the third place in Malayalam Recitation conducted by
Changampuzha Kala Vedi.
It is a part of our great pride that Aman Ashraf of Class VIII has got a wonderful opportunity to
visit NASA.
Balendu R. L. of Class VIII is a promising short story writer from our school. Three of her stories
were published in Mathrubhumi Weekly this year.
The renowned book publisher DC Book organized a book fair in our school campus on 24th
November.
The Literary and Debating Club conducted a debate on the topic “GST and Currency
Demonetization” on 23rd
November 2017.
The members of the Environment Club were taken on a nature camp to Suvarnodhyanam a bio-
diversity park near Nedumbassery.
Noor-E-Ilahi is yet another unique venture of our which was held on 25th November this year.
The competition comprises of Quiz, Quran Recitation, Power Point Presentation etc and more
than 40 schools across Kerala participated in which Darul Falah English School won the
prestigious P.M Syed Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy and a cash award of Rs.5000/-. Smt.Eesha
Priya IAS, Assistant Collector, Ernakulam inaugurated the valedictory function.
The 39th
Annual Sports Meet was held on 5th
December 2017 at Maharajas College Ground,
Ernakulam. The chief guest of the function Col. H. Padmanabhan, Commanding Officer, 7 Kerala Girls NCC Battalion, Thrissur received the salute from the marching parade.

Our Foot ball, Cricket and Throw ball teams are trained by Mr. Amal, Mr. Abhishek and Ms.
Fathima Fehmida and won the following competitions.
In Football we were the winners of The Baselious Foot ball Tournament , Mulanthuruthy, The
Delta Cup and the Inter Al-Ameen Foot ball Tournament.
Master K.R.M. Salman was selected the Man of the Match in the Delta Cup.
Our Throw ball Girls team became the first runner up in the Inter Al-Ameen Throw ball
Tournament.
We became the 2nd
Runners up in the Inter Al-Ameen Athletic Meet conducted at Al-Ameen
Public School, Sreemoolanagaram. We also bagged the under 14 Championship Trophy in the
same.

Million Goals‟ event was conducted in our school on 28th September. Mayor Mrs. Soumini
Jain, MLA Shri. Anwar Sadath and Chairman Adv. Shri. T.P.M. Ibrhaim Khan attended the
function. Several of our students hit the goal and won free tickets to the matches.
The Rajagiri School of Social Sciences, Kalamassery conducted Career guidance classes for
students of class IX – XI.
They also conducted orientation classes for parents of class I – VIII on how to Tackle the present
generation.
“All work and no play makes Jack a Dull Boy.” Our students classes IX & X were taken on a two
days Excursion to Kodaikanal. They enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
