COVID-19 Booster
Individuals 65 years of age and older, as well as individuals at risk for severe COVID-19
due to certain underlying medical conditions are now eligible to receive their Pfizer booster
shot at least 6 months after their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. At the time
of printing this newsletter the status of a Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster was not
known. Please contact your doctor with any questions you may have about getting a
booster. mixing of brands or any COVID questions .
If you are looking to make the appointment for your booster Visit the Vaxfinder tool at
vaxfinder.mass.gov Residents will be able to narrow results to search for locations that are
offering boosters. OR call the COVID-19 Vaccine Resource Line at 2 - 1– 1 Available
Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9AM-2PM by
calling 2-1-1 and following the prompts is available for assistance.
Additional information can be found at mass.gov/COVID19booster. Individuals can check if
they are eligible for a booster using the eligibility tool at mass.gov/BoosterCheck.

Cost: $2 roundtrip available daily in and out of Wakefield: to bank, shop, post office, hair-
dresser, barber and local area shopping malls.
Medical Appointments- We travel to local health offices and as far as Lahey in Burlington
& Peabody, MGH in Danvers, Winchester Hospital and some Woburn area centers. Call for

Food Resources for Veterans
The Veterans Services Department partners with the Greater Boston Food Bank to provide
food to Veterans and their surviving spouses the third Wednesday of the month at the
Wakefield Senior Center. Call the Veterans Office at 781-246-6377 for more information
