The Great Lakes American Water Spaniel Club (GLAWSC) invites you to
attend our inaugural hunt tests in Chelsea, MI on Saturday, April 27, and Sun-
day, April 28, at Colonial Farms Gamebird Preserve.
The tests are limited to forty (40) entries per day. Entries must be received
at the Hunt Test Secretary’s residence by 5:00 pm (EDT) on Tuesday, April
23rd. A drawing will be held at 8:00 pm, April 23rd, to determine the running
orders. Entrants will be notified of the drawing results by email no later than
Thursday, April 25th.
Payment of $65 per entry per day, must accompany all entries. Make
checks payable to Great Lakes AWSC. The club will not accept phone or email
entries.
MAIL ENTRIES WITH FEES TO: Hunt Test Secretary, Tonja McCullough, 2352 Palm Dale Dr., Wyoming, MI 49519.
The tests offered each day are Junior Hunter, Senior Hunter and Master
Hunter.
BIRDS: Chukar or pheasant will be used in all levels – land and water.
AWARDS: Standard AKC Rosettes will be awarded.
Judging will commence at 8:00 am following a brief meeting of all partici-
pants.
Please remember that:
All participants must wear an article of blaze orange, no smaller than a
hat, while in the field. A vest, shirt, or jacket is preferred.
Only flat collars are allowed on the test grounds.
Training, correcting, or disciplining of dogs will not be permitted on the
Hunt Test Grounds. All dogs must be leashed or confined when not being
tested.
Proper Cell phone etiquette will be enforced. Please set the phone to vi-
brate, turn it off or leave it in your vehicle as not to disturb the other ex-
hibitors in the field.

Directions to Colonial Farms:
• Take I-94 to Exit 157 (Old US 12/Pierce Road Exit), drive Southwest on Old
US 12 approx ¼ mile to Sylvan Rd. The road immediately past Sylvan
Township Hall on your left and the Old Schoolhouse on the corner.
• Turn Left heading South 1 ½ miles to 1850 Sylvan Rd (on the right). It is the
property on the right across from Chrysler’s Proving Grounds Gate #2. Use the
second driveway marked with the double flags.
• Follow the drive to the clubhouse.
The Great Lakes AWSC will have a lunch and beverages
available for a small fee.
Lunch will be served following the completion of all land tests.
