Operations Update• December 8-11: Annual FAA
FAR 139 certification inspection and SMGCS certification inspection.
• December 27: Emergency landing, a Learjet reported nose gear issues, landed without incident.
• Multiple airfield snow removal and deicing events, no impacts to airport operations.
New Air Service• Southwest Airlines began
service to Sacramento on Wednesday, January 6.
• The new service will fly once daily, Monday –Friday.
• Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines now serve Sacramento.
Passenger Experience• Live Christmas music during the holidays
which included carolers, instrumental, and local musicians sponsored by 94.9 The River.
Employee & Tenant Culture• The airport hosted two holiday
parties for over 100 airport employees on December 16.
• Delaware North served a holiday meal for those who had to work on Christmas Eve or Christmas day.
Part 150 Noise Study• Final public hearing was held on December 9th.
• Approximately 20 attendees commented on the study.
• The comment period is now closed and the draft study has been formally submitted to the FAA.
