For years, the Australian market has had to make do with older generation active pressure care technology at the more affordable end of the market. Now finally, the Air-Lo line of support systems makes available the latest in alternating technology and quality previously only seen in higher end systems. The information below represents a summary of the main quality differences that make ALL the difference in Therapy, Infection Control and Comfort.
Feature Advantage
Machine welded thermal polyurethane cells
Strong construction provides support wit stretch properties for comfort and care
Two way stretch European top cover
Better stretch properties result in improved pressure release and comfort
Hi flow computer controlled air distributor
Gives instant response to user input and longer deflation periods. Larger release valve ensures faster deflation.
Latest generation therapy program Results in more pressure release through the alternation cycle with less inflation time
The Therapy Difference
Feature Advantage
Machine welded top cover and base
No stitching or tape that can break down or allow moisture wicking into the cell section.
European PU top cover 95° machine wash and tumble dry for disinfection
A heat wash at a higher temperature more effectively kills bacteria such as MRSA
Welded low profile zipper with plastised backing
This minimises the chance of any moisture ingress through the zipper sections
Unbeatable Infection Control
Feature Advantage
Internal power cord Removes chance of fouling in bed or on floor
Simple to operate control units
Auto lockout plus Care and Static Mode timeouts for maximum safety
Optional Hyper-stretch coverlet that fits all Air-Lo’s
For unrivalled comfort, insulation from cell chill and protection from reperfusion injury

Air Alternating Overlay Support System
The Air-Lo 3 Alternating Overlay leads the field in affordable prevention of pressure areas and skin breakdowns where a lower profile overlay for lighter patients is desirable.
It’s compact, powerful yet almost silent control unit can quickly support patient loads of up to 100kg whilst alternately allowing pressure to be released across the rest of the body.
When an affordable support and therapy system is required, the Air-Lo 3 Alternating Overlay is the best value choice for safely caring for patients assessed at risk of developing pressure areas.
An optional internal Air-Lo Hyper-Stretch Coverlet can easily be fitted under all AirLo top covers to ensure maximum patient comfort and insulation.
High quality two way stretch top cover is fully welded and can be high temperature
washed for total infection control.
Elasticised side straps securely bond the
overlay to any regular single mattress.
Power cord is run inside the mattress to avoid dangerous
threading under the bed or on the floor.
Easy to use analogue control unit features a manual comfort dial, static mode with a 60 minute auto time-out and simple diagnostics. Intermittent operation ensures long pump life.
All waterfalls are turned and welded for maximum infection control and zip protection.
22 pure TPU transverse air cells alternate one in every two. They stretch under the patient to provide maximum comfort, prevention and therapy.
Static head section eliminates patient dizziness and disorientation.

5 Air Alternating Overlay with Auto Tilt Sensor & Heel Suspension
The Air-Lo 5 Alternating Overlay leads the field in affordable prevention of pressure areas and skin breakdowns where a complete mattresses replacement is undesirable.
It’s compact, powerful yet almost silent control unit can quickly support patient loads of up to 120kg whilst alternately allowing pressure to be released across the rest of the body.
When only the very best prevention, support and therapy are required, the Air-Lo 5 AlternatingOverlay is the best value choice for safely caring for patients assessed at medium to high risk.
High quality two way stretch top cover is fully welded and can be high temperature
washed for total infection control.
All waterfalls are turned and welded for maximum infection control and zip protection.
Mattress elastics securely bond the overlay to any standard single mattress.
18 transverse air cells alternate to provide maximum prevention and therapy.
Static head section eliminates patient dizziness and disorientation.
Medical grade power cord is run inside the mattress to avoid dangerous threading under the bed or on the floor.
A state of the art, internal air release valve is directly connected to the computer for instant response.
It’s high capacity ensures the fastest release of pressure possible.
Choice of three care modes and comfort settings in a simple to operate digital control unit with tamper proof lockout, static time-outs and simple diagnostics. Intermittent operation ensures long pump life.
High capacity yet unobtrusive side CPR release gives maximum
safety in the event of pulmonary emergency.
Cell disconnection valves allow the end four foot cells to be
completely deflated to assist in suspending a patient’s heels.
Tilt Sensor automatically adds more pressure when patient is inclined.
An optional internal Air-Lo Hyper-Stretch Coverlet can easily be fitted under all AirLo top covers to ensure maximum patient comfort and insulation.

It’s compact, powerful yet almost silent control unit can quickly support patient loads of up to 180kg whilst alternately allowing pressure to be released across the rest of the body.
When only the very best prevention, support and therapy are required, the Air-Lo 8 Mattress Replacement is the best value choice for safely caring for patients assessed at high risk.
High quality two way stretch top cover is fully welded and can be high temperature washed for total infection control.
High capacity yet unobtrusive side CPR release gives
maximum safety in the event of pulminary emergency. This new design can easily be opened or closed without having to un-zip
the top cover.
Medical grade power cord is run inside the mattress to avoid dangerous
threading under the bed or on the floor.
Cell disconnection valves allow the top two thirds of the end
four foot cells to be completely deflated to fully suspend
a patient heels.
A state of the art, internal air release valve is directly connected to the computer for instant response.

Theraflow Standard Reperfusion Support System
DynamULink™ Turbocharged DeflationA new patented cell design uses elasticised members to transfer the power of inflating cells to force down the deflating sets. This alternately removes almost all interface pressure under nearly 80% of the patient’s body. The at risk heel area is completely elevated for nearly 30% of the alternation cycle. This unique cell design allows cell pairs to naturally remain upright when normal cells deform or collapse under patient weight.
Infection Control: All outer surfaces are fully welded. A unique “mattress within a mattress” design ensures complete protection.

Breakthrough pressure release technology just got wider! All the advantages of the original Theraflow alternating mattress replacement have been designed into this new extended support system recommended for patients weighing from 40 to 180kg.
Enhanced Patient SupportAdditional, static side cells provide additional support to the to patients especially during transfers and repositioning. The new Theraflow King Single can fit any standard king single bed measuring around 105 to 110 cm in width.
New Cellstay Support CoverletA robust side skirt design integrated into the coverlet binds the whole mattress together increasing the system’s ability to support a variety of patient loads safely and securely.
Microfibre Foam for Enhanced TherapyThe coverlet is constructed with a 5cm layer of hyperstretch open cell foam which in turn is coated with a microfibre material similar to that used in high performance athletic wear to wick moisture away from the body. The coverlet therefore not only insulates the patient from “Cell Chill” but also from any excess moisture buildup. The thin foam layer also assists in avoiding reperfusion injury in patients at high risk of sub-dermal vascular damage.Turbocharged DeflationThe patented dynamulink cell design uses elasticised members to transfer the power of inflating cells to force down the deflating sets. This alternately removes almost all interface pressure under nearly 80% of the patient’s bodyThe at risk heel area is completely elevated for nearly 30% of the alternation cycle. This unique cell design allows cell pairs to naturally remain upright when normal cells deform or collapse under patient weight.
