FAQs• When will my membership become active? Your membership becomes active within two business days of your completed

enrollment application, upon review and confirmation by Travel Assurance Promise™ and receipt of your membership fee.

• Why would I need an air ambulance? 1. If you have a critical illness or injury where you cannot be transported by

commercial air transportation.2. If you have an extensive injury, or if urgent medical attention is needed, and

time is crucial.3. If you are injured or seriously ill in a foreign country.4. If you require continued care and treatment and prefer to return to your

healthcare network, your doctors, your hospital and back with your family.5. If you have an illness or injury that would require a specialist at another

hospital or geographic location.

FAQs• How many transports am I allowed per year? Annual memberships and five-year memberships include up to two transports

per year per member covered in the plan. Short-term memberships include one transport per year per member covered in the plan.

• Is there a limit on air medical transport expenses? Many travel insurance and health insurance policies have limits. Travel

three dependents under the age of 23 living in the primary member’s residence. Family dependents, if enrolling, must also meet the requirements published in the enrollment application. • Doesn’t my health insurance policy cover medical evacuation? In cases when traveling internationally or out of network, many travelers may

be surprised to learn that their health insurance does not always cover all medical evacuation and repatriation expenses to bring you back home.

• If I have a preexisting condition, can I enroll in a membership? For all pre-existing conditions, you will need to contact a Travel Assurance
