AIMS 7 2018. 1. 28 ● 日 January 28, Sunday, 2018 早稲田大学 国際会議場 第 1 会議室 International Conference Center, Meeting Room 1, Waseda University Keynote Speaker Professor Pericles Lewis イェール大学 比較文学教授 (国際戦略部副学長、国際課教務副部長) マギル大学卒業後(学士号)、スタンフォード大学にて修士・博士号を取得。 1998 年よりイェール大学 Departments of English and Comparative Literature の教授として在職。2012 年から 2017 年まではイェール大学と シンガポール国立大学が共同設立したリベラルアーツカレッジの Yale-NUS College 初代学長に就任。現在はイェール大学にて国際課、国際交流課、お よびイェール大学とシンガポール国立大学間の連携役を担っている。また、 米国と世界における教養教育の研究、執筆も重ねている。 Professor of comparative literature at Yale University (Vice president for global strategy and deputy provost for international affairs) Professor Pericles graduated from McGill University (B.A.) and earned M.A and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He joined the Yale faculty in 1998, with appointments in the Departments of English and Comparative Literature. Professor Pericles served as founding president of Yale-NUS College, a collaboration between Yale and the National University of Singapore from 2012 to 2017. He currently oversees the Office of International Affairs and the Office of International Students and Scholars and guides Yale’ s involvement in Yale-NUS College. His current research addresses liberal education in the United States and worldwide. ASEAN International Mobility for Students Programme (AIMS) 文部科学省補助金事業 主催 早稲田大学 国際教養学部 AIMS プログラム AIMS International Symposium Towards a Liberal Arts Asian Campus A major goal of the Waseda AIMS7 Program is to lay the foundation for a future Liberal Arts Campus in East Asia. Student mobility lies at the heart of the AIMS Program. It also makes crucial contribution to Liberal Arts education. Today, East Asia is standing at the forefront of innovation in higher education. Waseda University, in close collaboration with six leading universities in ASEAN, has been building a cross-country platform of the AIMS7 Program to promote student mobility and Liberal Arts education in East Asia. Five years after its launch, the AIMS7 Program intends to bring together students, faculty members, governmental officials, and other stakeholders to debate on the future of student mobility and Liberal Arts education in an international symposium.
