A competent and experienced professional, certified ITIL V3 Expert having 14+ years of broad-based expertise

in Planning, Designing, and Managing a wide variety of datacenter technologies, storage, virtualization, hyper-

convergence and infrastructure in general. I have been increasingly involved in building numerous VMware

and storage estates, designing disaster recovery solutions, redesigning Backup and Recovery, moving inactive

data to another Tier layers & implement new SAN systems, overseen product refreshes, migrations, upgrades

and setups related to business operations. At the same time stood on the right side of the road in this “Cloud”

landscape.

Most of the ITIL and ITSM Organizational Optimization and Business value added process integrations were

performed across all or many ITIL Service Support and Delivery areas.

I am constantly keeping an eye on how the market evolves and continuously looking for new ideas and

innovative solutions. I have been and for the last few years enjoyed engaging in the community via social

Storage Technology Refresh – Redundant Storage upgraded from EMC VMAX1 20K (250TB) & VNX (100TB) to VMAX3 100K (400TB - All Flash) with newly injected VPLEX for live data migration. Purpose of this project is update existing storage with the latest technology, offering high performance, scalability.

Data Center Migration – A complete DC Migration from one point to another in 150 KM distance. This is one of the vital projects that involved an application-centric approach, a significant in-sourcing initiative where approximately 40 racks (42U) of servers, storage, tape-libraries and network equipment were migrated from an out-sourced facility to an in-house facility. Initiated and planned this project and provided regular updates to senior level management including C-level executive management about the status, needs, and progress of this project. Successfully reengineered, reorganized, the migration resulting in cost savings with minimum downtime, interruption and in compliance to the Standard & Best Practice.

Data Center Designing – Part of the planning and implementation team that built Tier 3 Main and HA data center. Guided on issues like how to power on the infrastructure, Ethernet and fiber cables routing, how to stage racks etc. Also planned the facility management tools for cooling data center with 6 X 15 Ton Precision AC’s with N+2 redundancy, Two 250KW UPS(s) for power backup, FM200, Smoke Detection (VESDA), Multi-sensor detecting systems, Automatic Suppression System using HFC-227 EA gas, Data center surveillance system etc

Designing and Deploying of Virtual Environment – Virtualization with SRM and vSOM (vSphere Operation Management) to build 1:8vm, specific to Production, Development, QA/Test, and Staging, on around 70 servers involving 170 CPU licenses and 15 HP virtual connects with three 3 node SQL DB cluster running more than 50 instances on DL980 servers.

Physical Hardware Scale Out – Scale horizontally to add/remove nodes to a system. This project was to decommission the Old/EOL (End-of-life) hardware from DC and replace it with latest hardware (consolidated and virtualized) from different landscapes (DEV, QA & PROD).

Data Protection & Recovery – Planned, Designed and implemented of DR Policies, using Deduplication and Archiving (mainly for Exchange, File Server & Share Point) with Tape Vaulting. Technologies involved were Symantec NetBackup and Enterprise Vault (EV) with EMC Data Domain (100TB).

Data Center High Availability – Deployed HA Site for Production Applications for both physical & virtual environments along with Storage and Data Domain Replication (SRDF/A) using dark fiber distance between 40 KM in same region.

Storage Networking – Planned, designed and upgraded Brocade Switch 300 to DCX Directors with FCIP.

Application & DB Clustering – Deployed Veritas Cluster Storage Foundation Enterprise High Availability for Production SAP R3 and Oracle Databases with more than 15 instances. Further, cluster Live migration of the required applications and databases was carried out.

Application Enhancement - Storage and applications Migration from SUN ST6140 to High End Enterprise Storage EMC Symmetrix VMAX for storage and from Blade Environment to Mid-Level Rack Mounted for Servers. Deploying from SL48 to HP ESL tape library.

SNITC has a proven track record of delivering successful projects for customers like ARAMCO, KAUST, UAE ARMED FORCES, QATAR FOUNDATION, SABIC, SATORP, SADARA, KING KHALID INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, etc.

The role is based from both the company’s Regional Office in DUBAI and territory office in Saudi, travelling frequently

to and from client meetings throughout the Middle East region to facilitate the sales process.

Pre-sales solution architect, post-sales services management / projects management for their current projects in UAE

Business Based Capacity Planning Methodology - Performed an analysis of business requirements, drivers and IT

SATORP (a 10 Billion USD JV) between Saudi Aramco & Total is an oil refinery based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Have spent almost 7years in planning, managing and hands-on deployment of IT Infrastructures (Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Backup environment, ALL 3 Primary /HA/ DR Sites, Datacenter migration, Disaster Recovery etc), right from ground zero since the refinery was announced, back in 2009.

A total of 6.6 Years at SATORP, Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
