From Our Messianic Leader…..
Perilous Times -
(Acharit-Hayamim)
Scripture tells us that before Yeshua’s return
there will be hard times. In Hebrew --- acharit-hayamim.
Because of man’s ongoing rebellion against Adonai, ungodliness will con-
tinue to increase. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
clearly states;
“Moreover, understand this: in the acharit-hayamim, (Perilous Times) will come trying times. 2 People will be self-loving, money-loving, proud, arrogant, insulting, disobedient to parents, un-grateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, uncontrolled, brutal, hateful of good, traitorous, head-strong, swollen with conceit, loving pleasure rather than God, as they retain the outer form of religion but deny its power.” This scripture describes and lists oth-
er characteristics as well. These in-clude abusive behavior, unforgiving
attitudes, and lack of self-control.
In today’s society, we see a growing
resistance to Yeshua and a lot of sins
that where once condemned now
gaining acceptance. There are people
today that truly believe and buy into HaSatan’s lie that we can live without
the Lord and still find happiness, suc-
cess, and peace. He tempted Eve into believing that she could find more
enjoyment outside of Adonai’s will
and he does the same thing to us.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 gives us a list of the
common traits that are prevalent to-day, before our Lord’s return.
Self-Loving; Self-Centeredness
(putting yourself first in what will profit you the most) and selfishness
(wanting to keep what we have) will be widespread.
Money-Loving; acquiring wealth
to satisfy your pleasures, provide se-
curity or try to gain more posses-
sions will be a strong influence.
Proud, Arrogant; Pride pre-
vents people from submitting to the
authority of Yeshua. Arrogance harms relationships and consequently
damages many areas of life and per-meates our society.
It’s pretty easy to see a resemblance between today’s society’s culture and
scripture’s description of the years
before Yeshua’s second coming. While discouraging, these prophetic
signs which look like a precursor of Yeshua’s return, should motivate us
to get things into order. Our prayers
and hopes are to REST in Yeshua’s promises, NOT in the conditions
around us.

MINISTRY UPDATES
Davidic Dance Ministry
Beginning dance steps are offered after Oneg on the first and second Sabbaths of the month at 1:15 for 30 minutes. The Shabbat Medley dance will be taught during this time.
All who learn it can then participate in the Shabbat Medley dance to bring in the Sabbath
Service.
Is. 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announc-es peace and announces salvation, that says unto Zion: "Your Elohim reigns!" Davidic Dance at Ahava is worshiping Adonai with sacred reverence to Him. Therefore, there must be
order and understanding when we worship through dance. Seasoned worship dancers may join the Da-
vidic Dance circle after speaking to Daniele and Julia, our dance leaders, and demonstrating basic core steps. Appropriate dance attire is skirts and dresses below the knee, and tops should be covered shoul-
ders, no tank tops or camisoles.... nothing see through. Our focus is to please Elohim and not man. The Hora Dance is for everyone and we encourage all to participate and celebrate in this dance. The
dance for “He Shall Reign” is for everyone as well! Thank you for your understanding and we ask that you pray that Elohim be exalted
through the dance ministry as it is a powerful weapon against the enemy.
Contact the Office at Ahava B’Shem Yeshua (928.443.5988) if you have any questions.
Ahava Children’s Ministry The sign up sheet for December is back in the classroom/nursery area on the wall. Teachers and help-
ers can sign themselves up for dates that work for them. It will cover 2 months at a time. Teachers will
be planning their own lessons, and helpers as usual will assist the teacher. In the storage room in the back of the sanctuary, there is a curriculum box for books and lessons, or you can use resources that
you have. More teachers are needed. There should be a minimum of one adult in the back (18 or over) but preferably 2 adults should sign up at a time. Please talk to Dee Rodriguez if you would like to
serve as a teacher for the first time, or if you would be willing to serve as the new Shabbat School lead-
er. For those who sign up for Shabbat School, on the Sabbath you are in the classroom, please let
the people serving in the sound booth know and they can make you a copy of the message.

MESSIANIC 101
TZEDAKAH, TITHING, OFFERINGS & GIVING
Genesis 14:19-20 He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by El Elyon, Creator of
heaven and earth, and blessed be El Elyon, who gave over your enemies into your
hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything. (TLV)
Genesis 28:22 So this stone which I set up as a memorial stone will become God’s
House, and of everything You provide me I will definitely give a tenth of it to You.”
(TLV)
Malachi 3:8-10 “Will a man rob God? For you are robbing Me!” But you say: “How have we robbed you?” “In the tithe and the offering. You have been cursed with the curse, yet you keep robbing Me - the whole nation!
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Then there will be food in My House. Now test Me in this” - says
Adonai-Tzva’ot - “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out blessing for you, until no
one is without enough. (TLV)
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and whoever sows
bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one give as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or un-
der compulsion - for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that by
always having enough of everything, you may overflow in every good work. (TLV)
Tzedakah, Hebrew for charitable giving, is seen as a moral obligation. The patriarchs tithed. There are many verses in both the Tanakh (the Old Testament) and the Brit Hadashah (the New Testament) about the con-cept of tithing. The word tithe, or one tenth, evokes an emotional response from many. Questions arise, how much should I tithe? Should I tithe on my net, or my gross income? Is tithing even relevant in a non agricul-tural society? What does tithing look like to a Messianic Jewish believer?
We need to emulate our Abba, who owns all as Psalms 24:1 states The earth is
Adonai’s and all that fills it - the world, and those who dwell on it (TLV), and who gave all John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and
only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal Life!”
(TLV). Not only that, He challenges us in Malachi 3:8-10 to test Him in this. He is
our Provider, Sustainer and Creator. Maybe the question is not how much should I give, but maybe how much should I keep? Is not the Creator of the uni-verse able to supply our needs? This is about developing a deeper faith and trust in our Adonai. As with everything in the Torah, and the Holy Scriptures, it is
always about our heart, our inner spiritual life effecting our physical life and choices. We need to be investing in the Kingdom. 1Timothy 6:17-19 Direct those who are rich in this present age not to be proud or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God - who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. Direct
them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous, sharing, storing up for themselves a good founda-
tion for the future, so they might take hold of the true life. (TLV)
At Ahava B’Shem Yeshua you will not see the collection plate circulated to provoke giving. Our Tzedakah box sits discreetly in the back of our Shul, for those to give without any unnecessary attention. You can give anonymously if you so chose. If you desire a tax donation receipt, then donate by check, money order and cash (with an envelope that states your name). We are a tax-exempt 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. If you prefer to donate on line, we have a PayPal account that you can reach through our website www.ahavabshemyeshua.com. Now test Me in this” - says Adonai-Tzva’ot - “if I will not open for you the
windows of heaven, and pour out blessing for you, until no one is without enough. (TLV).
