AGNC BOARD OF DIRECTORS & MEMBERS MEETING MINUTES December 5, 2014 Parachute Town Hall 222 Grand Valley Way Parachute, Co. Chairman Mike Samson called the meeting to order at 8:10 am. Pledge of Allegiance Introductions were as follows. Board Members & Alternates: Mike Samson, Garfield County; Jeff Eskelson, Rio Blanco County; Jay Miller (via conference call), City of Rifle; Martin Chazen, Grand Junction; Jeff Comstock Moffat County; John Justman, Mesa County; Ray Beck, Craig; Stuart McArthur, Town of Parachute Others: Dave Norman, Dianna and Ted Orf, Kelly Sloan, Kirby Wynn, Martha Moore, Keith Lammey Speaker: Bonnie Peterson Staff: Scott McInnis and Maria King Ratification of Executive Board recommendation regarding Executive Director: Mike Samson stated that AGNC received 28 resumes for the executive director position; the executive board met to review the applicants and narrowed the list to 3. November 24 th . Three interviews were held at the Parachute Town Hall and it is the board’s recommendation to offer the position to Bonnie Peterson. Jeff Eskelson made a motion to hire Bonnie Peterson as the new executive director position and a second was made by Martin Chazen. Motion Was Unanimously Passed Minutes were presented from the October 23 rd . meeting. A motion by Jeff Eskelson to accept the minutes and a second was made by Martin Chazen. Motion Carried Budget Report: October and November financials were presented. Marty Chazen also mentioned questions that were brought up at the October board meeting regarding the sick time; the line item has been fixed and he has looked at the ending balance for 2013 and it matches the audit financials. Motion by Martin Chazen to accept the financial report and a second was made by Jeff Eskelson. Motion Carried Project & Committee Reports: Government Relations: Dianna Orf reported on how the elections bring big changes with new west slope legislators Kerry Donovan, Yeulin Willett, Dan Thurlow, and J.Paul Brown. * With complete report in packet AAoA: Dave Norman reported on meeting- luncheon with Sue Birch Executive Director of Health Policy and Finance Department of Colo. The Governor's budget request will include some items from The Community Living Advisory Group report and a request for the Community First Choice Program. In the 2016 legislative session will be specific pieces of legislation from the CLAG report/ The Governor did include a request in budget for an additional 4 mil for State
