Welcome Buckley Town Junior Football Club has proven to be a
very successful Club, over previous years, and this coupled with
the commitment and ambition of its volunteers ensures the Club will
strive for continuous improvement in the future. The Club provides
a safe and friendly environment for all members and promotes the
development of all players.
Slide 4
MISSION STATEMENT It is our intention to provide a framework
for the development of childrens football at all age groups from
under 6 to under 16, regardless of ability or gender. We will
ensure that the environment is safe and that the children are free
from physical or mental abuse. We will ensure that communication
with either the children or the parents is two way and that a forum
is created that allows the members to ask questions of the
committee and are provided with answers. We will ensure that our
coaches are trained to minimum standards of behavioural and
technical ability in such a way that this can be passed onto the
children. We will ensure fair play and will adopt the rules and
regulations of the local and national regulatory bodies.

Welfare
Slide 17
What does it mean? We are committed to ensuring that all
children who participate in football in Buckley do so in a fun,
safe and positive environment. The UK Government describes
"Safeguarding Children" as the process for protecting children from
abuse or neglect, preventing impairment of their health and
development, and ensuring they are growing up in circumstances
consistent with the provision of safe and effective care that
enables children to have optimum life chances and enter adulthood
successfully. Safeguarding therefore goes beyond the notion of
child-protection as it is a more all-encompassing approach to
identifying and addressing the needs of children.
Slide 18
How you can help Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and
the welfare of children should be considered paramount at all
times. Through increasing awareness and taking positive action, our
aim is to get everyone onside to ensure football is a fun, safe and
positive experience for all involved. Should you have any concerns
about the behaviour or actions of anyone towards a child or a
vulnerable person, whether within or outside the football setting,
it is vital that you act on upon those concerns.
Slide 19
Our Safeguarding Policy We all have a responsibility to ensure
that policies and best practice are well promoted and that everyone
understands their duty of care towards the children Everyone has to
have a disclosure certificate Everyone must attend the Safeguarding
workshops operated by the FAW
