Hear4Less is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). As a PPO we contract with a network of "preferred" providers in your community. Members of Hear4Less.com request to have an appointment set with one of our hearing aid providers. Hear4Less.com then sets the appointment with the preferred clinic near the member's home. Hear4Less.com provides contact name, number, and directions for the clinic after the appointment is set. Only after a FREE full hearing evaluation with the professional in your community will you have an opportunity to purchase hearing aids, and this transaction takes place at the clinic, NOT ONLINE.

Silver Threads among the Gold:

Aging Gracefully

and Coping with

Changes Staying healthy and feeling good is important at any age;

routines that should never change just because a person has a

few more gray hairs. As people grow older, they experience a

number of major life changes, including children leaving home,

deterioration of health, and retirement. Proper handling of

these changes is the key to staying healthy.

The following tips can help any individual maintain their

physical and emotional health, so that they can live life to the

fullest, no matter the age.

Look for the Silver Lining

Sadly for the elderly, along with the wisdom of old age comes

greater chances of losing everything from their hearing to hair

and loved ones to their prime. But as they lose people and

things, life becomes more precious. When they stop taking

things for granted, they learn to appreciate and enjoy what

they have even more. When there are problems and challenges

to face, it’ll be easier for them to look at it as opportunities for

personal growth.

Deal with Life’s Challenges

When a challenge becomes too big to handle, sweeping it under

the rug may seem like the easiest way out. Ignoring the

problem, however, doesn’t make it go away. It only adds up.

Taking things one small step at a time is the better option.

Getting a hearing aid for your hearing, glasses for your

eyesight, and doing small chores to stay active can all help to

boost one’s confidence and serves as a reminder that they are

not powerless.

Be Active, Stay Active

Fatigue is a common problem for many aging adults, especially

for those that don’t have a regular exercise routine. This often

leads not only to depression, but also a faster weakening of the

body. Doing physical activities then can only do those good.

Things like tending to a garden, doing a routine morning walk,

or taking up a new hobby will not only make senior citizens

more active, but also happier. Usually, the busier the mind and

body is, the better.

It's never too late to change and start leading a healthier life.

Even if a person is well into their 60s and 70s, they can do

something to reduce their risk of developing chronic diseases

and keep themselves healthy. All a person needs is the right

support and a positive outlook on life.
