Item No.AC/21/01 To consider and confirm the Minutes of 20th Meeting held

on 31/08/2020 through offline/online mode.

The Minutes of 19th meeting of Academic Council held on

31/08/2020 were circulated amongst the members vide Email

dated 18/9/2020 for their comments, if any by 28/9/2020.

Some comments were received from Dr.Neelam Duhan, Nodal

Officer, Digital India Cell with respect to Item No.AC/20/15,

No.AC/20/16 and No.AC/20/17 concerning conduct of MOOC

courses through SWAYAM Portal. With the approval of the

authorities, the comments received from Dr.Neelam Duhan were

incorporated in the Minutes and Revised/Amended Minutes

were again circulated amongst the members vide Mail dated

7/10/2020.

The Council may kindly consider and confirm the final revised

Minutes of its 20th meeting held on 31/08/2020 (copy enclosed

as Annexure-21.01.01 )

Item No.AC/20/04: To consider and approve creation of Faculty of Life Science.

The Chairman apprised the house

regarding requirement of creation of

Faculty of Life Science.

Dr.Y.P.S.Berwal, Additional Director

suggested that creation of more

Faculties/Department will create

financial liability on the State Govt.

The University is already having

Faculty of Science and the new M.Sc.

courses should be run under this

Faculty. The Chairman also apprised

the house that there will be no

additional financial liability on account

of creation of this Faculty, as the

facilities already available in the

Department will only be utilized by this

Faculty also. Further, the house was of

the view that such Faculties are also

available in other Universities including

Kurukshetra University and creation of

separate Faculty in Life Science will

help in running the courses more

smoothly and efficiently.

After deliberations, the Council approved the creation of Faculty of Life Science.

Estb. Section The Executive Council in its 38th meeting held on 16/10/2020 approved the recommendation of Academic Council for creation of Faculty of Life Science in the University.

To consider and grant post-facto approval for the Online Teaching Learning Methodology adopted by the University for the Semester (July-December,2020).

To consider and approve “Policy for Supporting Economically Weak/ needy students” in view of Covid-19.

The Chairman briefed the house

regarding making policy for supporting

economically week/needy students in

view of Covid-19 Pandemic. The

Chairman also assured that there will

be no financial loss to the State

Exchequer and funds will be generated

with the help of Alumni, NGOs, staff &

students, who are willing to help the

needy & poor students

After deliberations, the Council

resolved to recommend this Policy to

the Executive Council for approval.

following:-

(i) Keeping in view the present

scenario related to changes in the

technology and requirement of the

industry, we should review the

offering of various programmes in the

University by constituting a Committee

comprising of experts from Industry,

Academicians, MOB Members, Experts

from other reputed Institutions etc.

(ii) The items which are not to be

approved by the Academic Council,

rather being placed before the house

for information only, should have

specific mention so as to avoid further

unnecessary discussion on such items.

(iii) With the increasing number of

programmes in the University, the

involvement of Industry Personnel,

reputed Academicians from different

fields & Alumni should be enhanced

for overall development and quality

improvement of the University.

(i)Representation has been given to the MOB Members and Industrial Personnel by nominating them as Member on the Academic Council, Executive Council & other decision making committees.

(ii) The experienced Industrial Personnel are being offered to join as Adjunct Faculty in different departments for their valuable contribution towards teaching and overall development of the departmental research facilities.

adopted by the University for all students of the University.

It is brought to the kind notice of the members that in view of

ongoing pandemic due to Covid-19, the University again decided to

adopt Online Teaching Learning Methodology in respect of all

students of the University and the following existing Continuous

Evaluation Process was followed/being followed:-

Teaching Learning Methodology by the University.

Item No.AC/21/04 To consider and approve the Annual Report of Examination for

the session 2018-19 & 2019-20

It is submitted for kind information of the Council that the report of

Examination activities in an academic session haven been compiled

in the form of Annual Report.

The reports for the Academic Session 2018-19 & 2019-20 are

placed before the Council as Annexure-21.04.01 & 21.04.02 for

kind consideration and approval.

It is brought to the kind notice of the Council that since the

introduction of the exam online web portal, the awards/marks are

being filled online and all the result have been processed online.

Further, the result gazettes are also being maintained in soft copies

with additional backup on cloud, as well as hard disks.

Accordingly, the Result Gazettes for the session 2018-19 & 2019-20

are placed before the Council in soft copy for consideration and

approval.

Item No.AC/21/06 To consider and approve the rates of remuneration of various

examination duties.

It is brought to the kind notice of the Council that the rates of

remuneration on account of performing examination duties were

decided/revised around 10 years back and needs to be revised,

since other Universities of the State, have already revised the rates

of remuneration.

Accordingly, the proposed revision in the rates of remuneration for

various examination duties are placed before the Council as

Annexure-21.06.01 for kind consideration and approval.

Item No.AC/21/07 To consider the request for grant of Special Extra Chance (after

completion of prescribed period of course)

It is submitted for kind information of the Council that a B.Tech

student namely Mr.Hemant Vats (Roll No.ECE-1381-2k12) vide his

application dated 25/9/2020 has requested for grant of special extra

Chance for appearing in Theory/Sessional Exam (after completion of

prescribed period of 7 years) to pass one subject Mathematics-II

(HAS-104), in which he had failed, so as to complete his degree in

Elect. & Comm.Engg.

The request of Mr.Hemant Vats is placed before the Council for kind

consideration and appropriate decision.

Item No.AC/21/08 To consider and approve increase in the Alumni Registration

Fee from the session 2021-22

It is brought to the kind notice of the Council, that the University has

Alumni Association in the name of MOB(Meet the Old Buddies).

The students are made members of the MOB at the time of their exit

from the University. Therefore, keeping in view the contribution of

the Alumni in overall development of the University, a separate

Alumni & Corporate Affairs Cell has been set up in the University.

The Alumni & Corporate Affairs Cell vide Note dated 28/1/2021

(copy enclosed as Annexure-21.08.01) submitted that at present

Rs.500/- is being charge as Alumni Registration Fee from the

students and proposed that this alumni registration fee may be

increased from Rs.500/- to Rs.1000/- per student and also may be

charged from the students at the time of admission.

Item No.AC/21/09 To consider and approve Course Ordinances of the University.

It is brought to the kind notice of the Council that the Course

Ordinances of various programs were placed before the council in

its 17th meeting held on 11/6/2019, when the Council resolved to

review all the Ordinances and ensure the uniformity among all the

ordinances and to place the same before the council.

It is submitted that the course Ordinances are reviewed and it has

been ensured to have uniformity among all the ordinances. The

course Ordinances of all UG & PG Programs (Technical & non-

Technical) are enclosed as Annexure-21.09.01.

The Course Ordinances are placed before the Council for kind

consideration and approval.

Item No.AC/21/10 To consider and approve starting of new B.Tech and other

professional courses from the Academic Year 2021-22.

It is brought to the kind notice that keeping in view the demand ratio

of students seeking admission to various technical/non-technical

courses during the previous years and also to meet the requirement

of industries, the University intends to start some new B.Tech

courses and non-technical/professional courses in the following

areas from the Academic Year 2021-22:-

(1). B.Tech in Environmental Engineering with an intake of 30

students .

(The course is proposed to be run under Faculty of Interdisciplinary

Studies & Research, as the University is already running M.Tech

course in Energy and Environmental Engg under this Faculty from

the session 2020-21 with the approval of the AICTE).

(2).B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with an intake of 30 students

(The course is proposed to be run under the Faculty of Engineering

& Technology)

(3) M.Sc. (Animation & Multimedia) with an intake of 30

(The Course is proposed to be run under the Department of

Computer Application, where the University is already running B.Sc.

(Animation & Multimedia) successfully).

(4) B.Com with an intake of 60 students

(The course is proposed to be run under the Department of

Item No.AC/21/12 To note the Academic Calendars notified by the University from

time to time for various programs started from November,2020

(i) It is submitted that that Academic Calendar in respect of all UG

Programs (Except B.Tech) for the semester November 2020-

March,2021 was circulated vide Notice No. Acd/2020/2119 dated

26.10.2020 (copy enclosed as Annexure-21.12.01).

(ii) However, the last cut off date in respect of PG & B.Tech courses

was extended by the UGC/AICTE & HSTES initially upto 5/12/2020

and then upto 31/12/2020. Accordingly, the Academic Calendar in

respect of all PG Programs and B.Tech. First Year/B.Tech(LEET)

was circulated vide Notice No. Acd/2020/2261 dated 7/12/2020

(copy enclosed as Annexure-21.12.02).

(iii) The classes for even semester (except B.Tech 2nd & 4th

semester) were started w.e.f. 15/01/2021. The Academic Calendar

for old students of even semester is enclosed as Annexure-

21.12.03).

The Council may kindly note the above Academic Calendars notified by the University in respect of UTD and Affiliated Colleges.

Item No.AC/21/13 To note the addition of the Education Boards of Tamil Nadu

State in the University equivalency list.

On the request of Shri Ram College of Engineering & Management, Palwal, the following Education Boards of Tamil Nadu State were allowed to be added with the approval of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor in the existing equivalency list of the Boards/Universities, after getting valid documents in this regard:- 1. Board of Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu 2. Board of Higher Secondary Examination Tamil Nadu 3. State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu. It is brought to the kind notice of the Council that the admissions to

B.Tech courses were made by the HSTES, Panchkula through

online 1st and 2nd counseling on the basis of rank of JEE Main

Exam. Whereas 3rd & 4th counseling for vacant seats were

conducted at the University level in offline mode after inviting

applications from the students.

The admissions to other courses were made at the University level

through online as well as offline counseling. The admission demand

ratio is attached herewith as Annexure-21.14.01 for kind information

of the Council.

The Council may kindly note the admission demand ratio of the

University for the session 2020-21.

Item No.AC/21/15 To note the report of AICTE Standing Hearing Committee

meeting held on 3/2/2021 regarding grant of Extension of

Approval

It is brought to the kind notice of Council that online inspection was conducted by the Standing Hearing Committee of the AICTE on 3/2/2021 through online mode, regarding grant of approval for introduction of 15% supernumerary seats for OCI/PIO/Foreign National/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries. As per report received from the AICTE, the Committee was satisfied with the Land & Building documents, Fire Safety measures, student faculty ratio, Lab facilities etc submitted by the University. After inspection, the Committee made the following observations:- “Based on the documents submitted and accepted, the committee recommends issue of EoA for the AY 2021-22, as per the EoA of AY 2020-21”. The Council may kindly note the above observations of the AICTE

Standing Hearing Committee.

departments of the University during Jan.-May, 2021

It is submitted for kind information of the Council that as per

instructions/guidelines of the competent bodies, Value Added

Course are being offered by different departments of the University

offered during the period Jan-May, 2021 is enclosed herewith as

ItelLll9.20l04: To consider and approve creation of Faculty of Life Science

The Chairman apprised the house regarding requirement of creation of Faculty

of Life Science. Dr.Y.P,S,Berwal, Additional Director suggested that creation of more

Faculties/Department will create financial liability on the State Govt. The University is

already having Faculty of Science and the new M.Sc. courses should be run under this

Faculty.

The Chairman also apprised the house that there will be no additional financial

liability on account of creation of this Faculty, as the facilities already available in the

Department will only be utilized by this Faculty also. Further, the house was of the view

that such Faculties are also available in other Universities including Kurukshetra

University and creation of separate Faculty in Life Science will help in running the

courses more smoothly and efficiently.

Chairman appreciated the incredible contribution of Dr.S.K.Goel towards overall

development of the University and expressed deep sorrow & grief on the sudden

demise of Dr,S,K,Goel.

It was informed by the Chairman that the University proposed increase in feeconcession from 50% ro 7 50/o to the wards/dependents of emproyees for pursuing studyin University courses, on the pattern of GJU, Hisar. lt was pointed out byDr.Y P.s Berwar, Additionar Director that in DCRUST, Murthar 50% fee concessron isbeing provided to the wards/dependents of emproyees for pursuing study in universitycourses. The Department of rechnicar Education rs also takrng up with the GJU, Hisarto amend the rate of fee concession upto 50%,

The council did not agree wrth the increase of fee concession from so% lo 75%as proposed in the Agenda Note.

It was brought to the notice of the members that the Community Coltege of the

University is already running Diploma in Yoga and the Department of Liberal Arts and

Media Studies intends to start MA in Yoga. Dr.Y.P.S.Benrual suggested that new course

should be started on self-financing basis.

The Chairman informed that the course will be started initially on Self Financing

basis. After discussions, the Council approved the start of new course MA in Yoga from

the session 2020-21.

Annual Repoft 2018-19: End Semester Examination

In academic session 2018-2019 odd semester examinations started onLl.t2.20l8 and ended on 28.L2.2018 as per notified datasheets. Theseexaminations were conducted on 12 examination centers and 2696 studentsappeared in these exams for UG & PG courses. Four evaluation centreswere created for carrying out the evaluations of the exams. 2360 studentssuccessfully cleared these exams.

In academic session 2018-2019 even semester examinations started on15.05.20i9 and ended on 04.06.2019 as per notified datasheets. Theseexaminations were conducted on 03 examination centers and 3372 studentsappeared in these exams for UG & PG courses. Four evaluation centreswere created for carrying out the evaluations of the exam. 2403 studentssuccessfully cleared these exams.

Annual Report 2019-20: End Semester Examination

In academic session 2019-2020 odd semester examinations started onL0.L2.20t9 and ended on 30.12.2019 as per notified datasheets. These

examinations were conducted on 03 examination center and 3903 studentsappeared in these exams for UG & PG courses. Four evaluation centreswere created for carrying out the evaluations of the exam. 27L4 studentssuccessfully cleared these exams.

In academic session 20t9-20 even semester examinations started on1.09.2020 and ended on 16.09.2020 as per notified datasheets. Theseexaminations were conducted on 01 examination center and 1892 studentsappeared in these exams for UG & PG courses. One evaluation centre wascreated for carrying out the evaluations of the exam. 7L0 studentssuccessfully cleared these exams.

It is submitted that the examination remuneration / honorarium amount payable for

various activities related to the conduct of examinations / evaluation of answer sheets / conduct of

recruitment tests in the University were approved long ago and needs to be made respectable in

line with the time. Many Universities in Haryana and other nearby States are paying handsome

amount for the same tasks as compared to us it is proposed that honorarium / remuneration

amount may be revised as follows:- .

1. Remuneration amount for Coordinator / Clerk / Peon and other staff involved in Secrecy

Centre / Answer Book Collection / Spot Evaluation Centre will be paid in line withremuneration as Sl. No. 05 to 11

2. In case of bilingual paper setting, Rs. One thousand will be paid extra for each paper set

3. In case of End-Semester theory Exams double remuneration will be allowed to all faculty /staff members for Saturday / Sunday & Holidays (No Double remuneration will be allowedin case of Practical Exams during Saturday / Sunday / holidays).

4. * No double remuneration will be paid to Chowkidar for any Holiday / Saturday or Sunday

5. Other terms & conditions mentioned in the Examination ordinance will remain same.

I INTRODUCTION

JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad was

established in 2009. The University aspires to be a nationally and internationally

acctaimed leader in technical and higher education in all spheres which transforms the

life of students through integration of teaching research and character building. The

University offering various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D Programmes'

(iii) The admission of the candidate will be based on the merit of qualifying examination/

entrance test conducted by the Universityl any other mode published by university and

online counselling as per guidelines of Government of Haryana. However, the admission

to the M.Tech first semester will be open to the candidates on merit and as per rules given

in the Information Brochure. Admission of candidates of M.Tech Courses shall be made

firstly on the basis of valid GATE score merit. If the seats remain vacant, admission shall

be made on the basis of merit of qualifuing examination.

(iv) The eligibility criteria for the admission to above each programme, fee structure,

academic calendar, scheme of studies and examinations, examination schedule, sports

calendar and cultural activity calendar etc. for the academic year shall be published in the

Information Brochure /University website.

(v) Candidates placed under compaftment / not requisite percentage of marks in the

6. REGISTRATION

(i) Every student is required to be present and register at the commencement of semester on

the date fixed and notified by University. The registration processes forthe students of all

UGIPG Programs would be centrally organized by the Registration Branch of University.

Only those students will be permitted to register who have:

o Cleared atl fees and dues of the University/lnstitute, Library and Hostel (if resident).

o Submitted alt the mandatory documents as required by the University.

o Not been debarred from registering for a specified period on any ground by the

competent authoritY.

(ii) Registrar, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA may allow late

registration with a prescribed late fee within next three working days.

(iii) Registration is to be done online on ERP portal of JC Bose University of Science and

Technology, YMCA at the beginning of each semester.

1 EXAMINATIONS

7.1 General

(i) Scheme of studies for all the UG and PG Programme will consists of Vision and

Mission of the University, Department's Vision and Mission, Programme Educational

Objectives (PEOs), Programme Outcomes (POs), Programme Specified Outcomes

(PSOs), Semester-wise courses to be taught along-with their categorization, credits and

contact hours per week. Scheme must be duly approved by the Academic Council.

(ii) Every candidate shall be examined in the subjects as laid down in the syllabus approved

by the Academic Council from time to time. The credits for each subject as also the

contact hours per week will be mentioned in the scheme of studies approved by the

Academic Council.

(iii) At the end of the each semester, there shall be an examination wherein candidates shall

be examined in the courses studied by them in that semester. Each semester

examination shall be designated as First Semester Examination, Second Semester

Examination, and Third Semester Examination and soon'

(iv) The End Term Examination for all odd semester will normally be held in

December/January and for all even semesters in May/June on such dates as may be

fixed by the Controller of Examination (COE) as per the Schedule provided by the

University. The date(s) of commencement of examination as well as the last date(s) for

the receipt of examination forms and examination fees shall also be notified by the

Control ler of Exam inations.

The courses of the study and the subjects of examinations shall be as approved by the

Academic council from time to time. The medium of instructions and Examination

shall be English except otherwise decided by the Academic Council' The question

papers will be set in English, except otherwise decided by the Board of Studies and

approved by the Academic council. Every candidate shall be examined in the subjects

as laid down in the syllabus approved by the Academic Council from time to time'

Syllabus of each subject will essentially depict course objective, course outcomes'

contact hours per unit, duration of end Semester examination and suggested source of

study material both offline &online.

Evaluation Process

Theory Examination

The theory papers shall be set by external/internal paper sefiers appointed by the COE

out of a panel of paper setters approved by its Board of Studies'

The evaluation of theory papers will be done by examiner(s) as per the university norm

and as notified bY COE.

Practical Examination

Practical Examination and viva-voce shall be conducted jointly by one external

and one Internal Examiner. If an External Examiner is unable to come' alternate

examiner may be appointed by the chairman of UTD/Principal of Institute from

outside/ JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA with the intimation to

COE.

Sessional Marks

Sessional tests/works/assignments shall be evaluated by the teachers of the various

subjects based on the work done by the students during semester on the basis of

Guidelines issued by the University from time to time'

Attendance to the extent of l0% for the sessional /intemal marks may be granted by the

concemed teacher on account of participation in Sports/Games/cultural activities or any

other important activity with prior permission of Chairperson of UTD/Principal of

Institute.

(iii) wherever the evaluation is through presentation, it will be done by a committee

constituted by the chairperson oi the concerned Department under his/her

ChairmanshiP.

(iv) Every student has to appear in both the sessional tests' If a student does not appear a

sessional test, he/she shall be awarded zero marks in that test' The marks obtained in

sessional /practical/theory/seminar are to be submitted to the Examination Branch duly

signedbytheconcemedteacherandcountersignedbytheChairpersonofUTD/Principal of Institute before the close of semester examination or a date fixed by

theCoE.Theexaminationbranch/coursecoordinatorshallconvertthemarksinto

equivalent grades as per the grading procedure'

(v) In case a student is unable to appear in any one of the sessionaltest due to participation

in some official university activity (outstation tour related to sports etc. and not for any

kind of improvement) with prior approval of respective chairman of UTD/Principal of

Institute or due to extreme emergency, he/she may be allowed to appear later in a

separate sessional test.

Sessional improvement is allowed only as per the guidelines of examination ordinance

as modified from time to time.

(vii) The internal assessment award of a candidate who fails in any semester examinatton

shall be carried forward to that end semester reappear examination when he/she

qualifies the exam within the stipulated time for overall declaration of his/her result'

The examination shall be open to a candidate who:

has been on the rolls of the institute/ department during the semester

has not been debarred from examinations due to any anti- disciplinary act/use of unfair

means in examinations.

dissertation etc. A deficiency of attendance up to l0o/o may be condoned by the Chairman

of UTD/principal of Institute if the student remains absent due to condition beyond

case a student fails to fulfill the necessary requirement of the attendance in any

subject(s)/paper(s) in any semester, he/she has to abide rules and regulation as per the

University exam ination ordinance'

7.4 Reappear

The Rutes and Regulation for reappear examination will be governed by the

University Examination Ordinance'

7.5 Fees

The amount of Fee for Examination/Reappear/ Re-evaluation/ lmprovement etc'

is to be paid by the candidates as prescribed in the university examination ordinance' A

candidate who has paid dues for the higher class and is dropped for want of fulfillment

of any of the above conditions shall not be required to pay his dues again on re-

admission after futfillment of above condition'

Re-evaluation

Re-evaluation is permitted only for semester exams (Theory course) as per

University examination ordinance'

The minimum passing marks/grade for passing any semester Examination shall be:

4Oo/o in End Semester/External Examination theory examination of the each subject and

4Oo/o of total marks (Sessional+ External/End Semester) of that subject'

(v) 40% each in End Semester Practical Examination/Viva-Voice/Project/Dissertation

Examination and 40%o of total marks (Sessional + External/End Semester) of that subject.

(vi) Plagiarism / Similarity will be checked as per UCC norms for M.Tech dissertation in last

semester. Student has to fulfill requirement as per UGC norms. A candidate who fails to

obtain the requisite marks/grade in any course shall be required to appear again in the

concerned course in the subsequent examination(s) subject to the condition described in

Paragraph 7.4 above.

7.8 The result of a student at the end of each semester Examination and after completion of

course shall be declared on the basis of the SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) and

CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) obtained by the student'

7,9 At the end of each semester examination, the COE shall publish the result, provided that

in a case where candidate who was permitted to take examination for higher semester but

has not cleared the lower semester examination his result for the higher semester

examination will be declared provisionally. Each successful candidate shall be issued a

Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) on passing the semester examination.

7.10 Not withstanding the integrated nature of the course wherever it is spread over more than

one academic year, the Ordinance in force at the time a student joins the course shall hold

good only for the examination held during or at the end of the semester.

Nothing in this Ordinance shall be deemed to debar the University from amending

the Ordinance and such amended Ordinance, if any, shall apply to all students whether

old or new.

7.ll A student is required to maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which is

the weighted average of all the Letter Grade obtained by the student since his/her entry

into the lnstitute upto and including the latest semester and computed as follows:

CGPA : f(CiCi)/ fCi

Where Ci denotes credits assigned to ith course and Gi indicates the Crade point

equivalent to the Letter Grade obtained by the students to the i'h course. Provided that

when a student re-appears in/repeats a course, the new Grade will replace the earlier one

in the calculations of the CGPA.

Note:

(i) At the end semester (i.e. after End Semester Examination), students will be supplied a

DMC indicating the grades secured in each course, Semester Grade Point Average

(SGPA) and up-to-date CGPA.

Multiplication factor for converting the CGPA in percentage will be provided on the

respective Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC).

The percentage Grade Point will be calculated after multiplying it with 9.5.

The B.Tech, Degree will be issued to those students having CGPA equal or more than

4.5.

(v) The post Graduate Degree will be issued to those students having CGPA equal or more

than 5.8.

(vi) A student is deemed to have completed the requirements for graduation and is eligible

o he/she has satisfied all the academic requirements as per the regulations'

o he/she has paid all fees due from him/her,

o there is no case of indiscipline pending against him/her'

The awards/grades shall be submitted by tlre teacher concerned through the chairman of

semester examination.

REJOINING OF STUDENTS (IN ODD /EVEN SEMESTERS)

Any Student who is detained due to shortage of attendance/or any other reason must

apply to join classes l5 days before the start of classes, failing which no application to

join classes will be entertained.

Notwithstanding the above the Vice-Chancellor of the University may at its discretion,

on appeal, relax any of the conditions; his decision shall be final and binding'

CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION/ COURSE DISCONTINUATION

Students on roll of University desiring of cancellation of their admission may

apply by their own for cancellation/discontinuation from the program through

respective Chairperson of UTD/Principal of Institute mentioning valid reason of

cancellation.

RE-ADMISSION

In case a student absents from the Institute/University without prior permission, he/she

may be permitted to join back with the permission of the Vice-Chancellor on payment

of penalty in addition to the prescribed fee for the period of absence Re-admission of

students in next semester will be allowed on the payment of prescribed Readmission

Charges and fine.

Re-admission is also permitted in the same semester in the next academic session on

payment of current semester fee & previous due semester fee only with applicable fine

and re-admission charges under any circumstances.

The gap of one/two semesters missed by the student(s), as the case may be, will count

towards the total duration of the Programme permissible under the Regulations'

13. CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

Registration of a candidate can be cancelled in any one of the following

eventualities, with due approval of the Vice Chancellor:

(i) If he/she is found involved in an act of misconduct and/ or indiscipline and a competent

authority has recommended termination'

(ii) If at any stage, information furnished by the student in his/her application is found false

or incorrect.

REFUND OF SECURITY

Refund of security/securities deposited by a student, is allowed within a period of

one and half year from the date of completion of course'

GENERAL

Notwithstanding any.thing contained in this Ordinance and the Regulations, all students

shall be governed by the rules and procedures framed by the University and in force

from time to time.

Any doubt or dispute about the interpretation of this Ordinance or the Regulations shall

be referred to the Vice Chancellor whose decision shall be final.

(iii) The University has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of the student who is

found admitted to a course to which he/she was not entitled in accordance with the Act,

Statues or Ordinances and Regulations in force'

There shall be Student Grievance Redressal committee (SGRC) for redressal of
