Target Market Marketing Strategy

Based upon our market research, our marketing campaign is aimed directly at the following demographic and psychographic groups: We aim to appeal to a range of cultural backgrounds of people who enjoy music, dance and performance. We will mainly target the age group 18-35, because they are the largest population of music buyers and concert attendees. Within this age group we will target: Matured Students- We will be targeting university students because of their demographic buying power and their influence on setting trends that are adopted by other demographic members.

Professionals - We will be targeting them as they have huge buying potential; thus we can guarantee sales and market co operate businesses to where the buying potential is.

We have developed a marketing strategy that will help to achieve our goal and promote the event. The marketing strategy is as follows: Starting from the 15th of September lasting 8 weeks. The event will take place on Sunday 23rd November.

Our goal is to create a huge buzz around the event during these 8 weeks. We will use online social media, email marketing and direct marketing. The event is meant to promote the African culture and will feature all aspects of the culture; the best way to generate followers is to inform people with entertaining content. This is why we have created themes for the 8 week campaign where we will educate and entertain our audience on a weekly basis with videos, articles, competitions and newsletters.
