Where are we??




Scope

• Vendor:– Creating a gazelle user account– Using gazelle to register to participate in a

connectathon

• Project Manager:– Management tasks for gazelle users– Monitoring registration progress



Key Concepts

• Gazelle User– Belongs to an organization (company)– Various user ‘roles’ give users access different

functions within gazelle

• What is a system?– Loosely defined as a reasonable collection of

actor/profile pairs that one would market as a product



Registration opens in gazelle

• Step 1 for vendors (in gazelle):– Create account/user(s) for your organization– Enter demographics for your organization– Enter contact people (billing, marketing,

technical)– Vendors can do this while deciding on their

actors



Registration Process (2)

• Step 2:– Register all systems (actors/profiles) in gazelle

– (opt) Generate contract/application in gazelle– Sign contract/application– Submit contract/application + payment



Is This One System?

• Fax, printer, copier, answering machine– So far, so good

• Coffee break chime– Maybe

• Espresso maker– No

• Refrigerator– NO!



After Registration Closes

• You cannot add systems• You cannot add actors• You cannot add profiles• You can ask to delete systems, actors, profiles• Why can’t I add an actor at the last minute?– Project manager and other participants have

made plans
