The G 38 is the first monoplane in history and can carry 6 tons. Being a mono wing increases lift and decreases drag compared to biplanes this was discovered by Hugo Junkers.

The first aircraft to be designed without the use of paper sketches is the Boeing 777. It was completely designed using CAD. The triple 7 was the largest twin engine passenger jet made at that time.
2004 SPACESHIP ONESpaceShipOne is the first privately owned space plane. A suborbital craft that completed its first spaceflight in 2004. The mother ship was named "White Knight".
