Both systems consisted of two glass cabinets. Inside the cabinets were installed the cooling pad size of 0.3 m in width, 0.3 in length and 0.15 m in thickness. Moreover, an absorber area of 0.142 m 2 that horizontally placed with inclination of 7 degree was designed to absorb solar radiation. For experiment, water flow rate of 15 L/min flowing through a cooling pad set was fixed and the experiment was carried out between 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. In addition, the solar radiation, distilling temperature and flow rates were recorded every two hours. The results indicated that the active system could produce 96.46% more distilled water than the passive system. In other words, the active system could produce average 6.27 L/m 2 -day whereas the passive system could produce average 3.19 L/m 2 -day.
