*He visits your office in the 2nd week of Spring 2013 clearly y p g ydistraught. He confides that his family is unable to continue funding his studies.
*Kevin just learned that his father was diagnosed with j gcancer 6 months ago and has since left his job to pursue medical treatment. His family didn’t share this with Kevin earlier because they didn’t want to burden him with these medical and financial problems medical and financial problems.
*Kevin is 1 year away from graduation, and fears he will have to drop out of school if he cannot obtain funds. **Jung Soo, a Korean transfer student, started Berkeley in

*In Fall 2012, Jung Soo dropped one of his Economic prerequisites because he wasn’t getting the A’s that he was used to at the community college.

**You start to discuss his options including the option of pursuing another major but it is evident that your advice is not registering. g g
*Jessica, a freshman from Bolivia, comes to you upset because she has been cited for plagiarism by her professor. She tried to p g y ptalk to the professor about it but he refused to discuss it and asked her to work with the Center for Student Conduct.
