Adventures in India, Shri Babaji Dharshan by Pauline Win Shri Babaji is glorious and ordinary, just like God. He is Maha Prabu (a great friend). His demeanour is quiet, strong, powerful, yet childlike soft. His voice is like melodious and elegant and of course His face and body is very beautiful. He does not stand on ceremony and he al the first time we went and on the other times He waved us not to do so. He lives a simple life in a simple house. We have had 5 Dharshans now and are returning again August 2016. He is ordinary and extraordinary at the same time. We, Paul, Matoula, Pete and I went recently. He is very interested in Rebirthing and said we only know the half of I shared with him that I had had underlying depression all my life. I do know that these underlying depressed feelings are about my own childhood unmet needs and I am responsible for them and have at times felt hopeless in the face of it. He asked me what I had done about it and I told Him all the hundreds of seminars, therapies, Let me explain that I am not depressed all of the time but ever since teenage hood I have had a kind of global pain which can feel dreadful. Mo people eating animals, the rape of the environment, people digging jewels out of the ground instead of leaving them where they belong, general global destruction due to our human personal greed, the disgusting diamond and gold industries, child abuse, the birth industry, medical interference, etc. , etc., etc. Even as a teenager I agonised over a myriad of things I cry about it (I was crying) you are going to be crying for a long time the Kali Yuga started 5000 years ago and down better worse- better-worse. He told me to stop agonising about it. Then a very surreal event happened.. His face changed completely into another face. I am generally a very down to earth person and if Pete and Paul had not also seen this, I would not believe it happened. I would have thought I made it up.. He stared out (not at me) and His whole face changed from a young handsome man to a much older man. The jaw was angular and very strong, the cheek bones were different and forehead higher and eyes were completely changed, much older, not almond shape or sparkly like His are. Then He looked at me looking like that and I had an amazing rush of happiness - the opposite of depression.. I have no idea what happened but I have been happy ever since. As I said, He is very interested in how Rebirthing is going along in the world. He demonstrated the correct way to chant Om Namah Shivaya. He chanted it differently and the sound of Om Namaha Shivaya filled the room and we all felt extremely peaceful. It was beautiful and Paul, Pete and I had never heard Om Namaha Shivaya chanted like that. He then began teaching us more about the Rebirthing breathing technique. His take on the ideas of physical immortality are very interesting. He said to become immortal I must have a completely empty mind and defy gravity to be able to fly like a bird and in the end, death was no big deal. Bhole Baba Ki Jai. Pauline Win

Things I Learned from the Water By Prem Geet Lingering in a full tub of warm, purified water is a treasured experience and a true luxury. Bathing twice a day, near sunrise and sunset, is another spiritual purification practice with ancient roots, as described by Leonard Orr, master healer and father of Rebirthing Breathwork, an American new age pioneer and teacher of millions. According to Orr, the Vedic immortal masters, still alive, live in a cave next to a river so they can bathe twice per day, a very ancient tradition. The Immortal Avatar Babaji has called the eternal sadhana of earth, air, water, fire, and spiritual community “a very simple gospel.” Leonard refers to Ganga, the Goddess of Water, as one of the qualities of infinite spirit. His devotion to simple practices over many years is worthy of study and acceptance by a world longing to quiet itself and heal itself with the natural energies of fire, water, earth, and conscious breath, the elemental context we live in and are made of, but mostly ignore. The daily purification practice is to spend time alone with each element as a conscious meditation. Bathing in warm water is “a powerful psycho-analytic stimuli” says Orr, who began Rebirthing Breathwork during “12 years of spiritual accidents” in his bathtub. Bathing is one way humanity has been digging itself out of misery for the last 5,000 – 10,000 years, according to Orr who cites the immortal yogis and their very simple practices using the four elements. “The secrets of the elements are beyond mind,” he says. In surrendering mind to each element, we can experience that god is in it. Spending time with the elements also brings us into present time. A long bath makes us drop our worries and tune into our breathing and feeling. After years of ocean swimming and playing in creeks, I now more fully appreciate the water element as a lifelong companion of joy and play. Enjoying a warm bath in silence is an induction into pure bliss. Unhurried, I rest without distraction and know: Water is contact with the first mother.

Soaking in warm Water is a conversation with silence, and our cells listen.

A long, warm bath is quieting and expands knowing.

Playing in Water dissolves pain.

Returning to Water, the womb of peace.

Water is the unconscious.

Water is a kindness, dissolving tension.

Feeling much younger, restored innocence, after a bath.

Playing in Water is and always has been a saviour.

The mysterious creek, a childhood oracle.

Long swims in Hawaiian waters are a soul cure.

Oceans hold the cosmic song of dolphins and whales, long after they sing.

Deep ocean swimming is a form of flying.

Resistant and supportive, Water helps us feel embodied in a luxurious way.

Letting go in Water teaches pure being, no thought, no mind.

Shapeshifting Water is a wild immortal who can do anything.

Water shows me that who I am now is more than who I was at the time any memory was made.

Water teaches humility, surrender, and flow.

Water forgets the shape of its interaction, returning quickly to Herself.

Tears are the oceans moving inside.

The rushing river unlocks my possibilities somehow.

Surrender to warm Water overcomes impatience and urgency.

Water is a goddess of renewal, a daily miracle.

Ah, the Moon has spoken to this Water.

Water surrounds and accepts.

Water is a goddess.

Spirit moved upon the face of the Water…

The Colours of Holi Peter and I were in Puskar at the time of Holi celebrations in India. Out of a huge cloud of coloured dust walked David from Mullumbimby, NSW who received Dharshan with Babaji with us a month earlier. Out of 1 ½ billion people, there he was covered in coloured dust. The Universe is huge – the World is tiny. Pauline Win

One morning while meditating beside a beautiful lake in Vermont, listening for whatever messages the water might have for me. “All water is connected,” the lake said “All water is in constant communication with all other water. The waters of the world are one- one consciousness, holding the world in liquid embrace. What you do to any part of the waters affects them all.” Starhawk

Matoula meets with Babaji Paul (my partner) and I had heard that Babaji Mahavatar (divine form directly manifested in a body) is back on the earth plane. We really wanted to see him since we would be going to India to celebrate the Navaratra (9 nights dedicated to the Divine Mother which is the life force energy that creates, sustains and transforms the universe). We had also heard that not everybody was able to see him. So we asked for a darshan (a meeting in the presence of the guru=teacher) and waited for the news. We received an invitation and we booked the date. I was feeling excited and reserved at the same time as if I was waiting to see if it would really happen - could not really believe that I/we had such an honour. In India, when the time of our darshan arrived, a car was arranged to drive all for four of us (Paul`s mom and step dad as well) to the Himalayas in a little village. On arrival, we walked to the place we would be staying for the next two days. I was feeling excited and yet humble. When the time for the darshan arrived, I approached with an open heart, humble and yet thrilled. I was just observing my self retaining like a sponge all the beautiful deep and yet simple information I was receiving. This face was kind of new to me, emanating clarity and wisdom. His energy though and eyes felt very familiar to me-like the old friends that have not seen each other for ages, yet when they get together time seems that has not moved. I felt very safe and therefore I felt free to speak without shame for my deepest fears, and challenges in life at that current moment. As my heart felt totally open and surrendered to this Divine energy, my mind felt more quiet that usual. I was in tears for the whole two hours this darshan lasted. The responses I got where much simpler and yet deeper than I was expecting, he seemed to know me more than I know myself, in a soul level that time was not relevant. Till this moment I feel I`m still integrating all the information I received in every subtle level from this meeting. All the events that occurred from that moment and on, have connected my existence to a deeper level of understanding myself to the degree I allow and accept and also of all the creation. I feel very humble and there are no words I could describe the extent that this teaching without words has penetrated the core of my being to transform me. After my visit to him, I found out that there was a lot of debate from other people if he is the "real Babaji" and a lot of stories told about this and that, that if you hook to them yourselves you might just as well find yourselves in the same debate. I was also observing my mind judging what my heart had so openly perceived and gained as soon as we walked away from his presence 2 days later, getting into my own debate - me myself and I-. I was observing that in terror of how controlling the mind can be and in shame at the same time, as nothing is hidden from the Divine. Whenever I would recall this experience in my heart there was simply no doubt and I would feel the same tearful -

blissful tears, bhakti tears. For me, the Divine does not fit specific characteristics, nor it ticks specific boxes to be perceived. It can only be approached with an open heart. How can I expect the Divine to fit my own mind`s limitations and match it? Or should I only trust what seems to be miraculous? I had asked God to reveal thyself to me in whatever form it chose and in whatever method he/she chose to relay the messages for me. I feel blessed that my prayers are heard and returned in every way, even when I don`t like it, or I feel too impatient to wait for the right moment. I can only trust that my heart will stay surrendered to the Divine and will be able to be taught whatever the Divine wants me to. If I can, I`m sure you can, too. In truth and deep gratitude, Matoula/Maheshwari Piskopani

love. The purpose of the world is to give us perfect support. The

goal of material prosperity is pleasure and ease, peace and safety.

It is interesting that people abuse their Spirit so much that they

think dying is the way to heaven. The human mind can really be

insane. We lack common sense and spiritual intelligence as well

as emotional intelligence. All the Scriptures present heaven on

earth as the goal. Earth is where the real action is. When you feel

safe enough, action and inaction are interpenetrating as Krishna

Babaji Speaks: The River of Change Blessings Yes, follow your gut. Attach to the real. Changes are many. Lessons are many. The flow of life plays out. The fog slowly lifts and the path becomes visible. But always be aware that the path is like the Ganges, always changing, never still. That is why we would bathe in it early each morning. To remind us, to understand, that change is the Law of Nature. This is the great lesson. See? And my message of Truth, Simplicity and Love is the tool for living in the river of change. Change, change, change ... this is the way of the Universe. But there is a stillness, a ground of being, where I am no-body, no-thing, eternally observing all of this change. This is the realm of the Higher Self. Peaceful Blessings. Babaji

Sandhyas & Conception The ancient science of yog is based on laws of nature. In nature you will find that for every aspect there exists an equal and opposite. Darkness is nothing but an absence of light. Similarly, silence is nothing but the absence of sound. It is only the duality in nature, the coexistence of positive and negative that gives meaning to the existence of the whole. The ancient scriptures speak of a masculine energy Shiv or the doer and a feminine energy Shakti or the force. In reality, the whole creation derives its energy from Shakti and without her even the Lord is also just a form, the same applies to all aspects of Creation. At the same time, Shakti without the Lord is just pure energy, which needs a vehicle to carry out desires. The complete evolution thus becomes Lord Ardhanareeshwar. This is the form of the sacred union of Shiv and Nata Parvati as one. Interestingly, a union between a married mana and woman also symbolically represents the ‘Ardhanareeshwar’. The Vedic Rishis saw the union between a man and a woman not for lust or gratification of sensual desires but a sacred union for the purpose of procreation. Vedic Rishis set yogic techniques and Sanatan Kriya, which when followed can give a child of one’s choice. Parents often wish to decide everything about their child even before conception. They wish to fulfil their unfulfilled dreams through their children but these dreams cannot be fructified without Guru Kripa. However, there are certain basic guidelines that can be followed for children of a particular pravati. In a day, energy patterns keep changing. Similarly, day to day patterns also keep changing. Every object of Creation, all lokas (dimensions of existence) and yugas change as when it moves on the axis, the seasons change, Every movement from one dimension to the other brings about a change or transformation as every day comes with its unique energy patterns. To better understand energy changes that occur daily we must first understand the concept of sandhya, that is, when one energy transforms into another. Vedic philosophy describes four types of sandhyas that occur on any given day. The first, Brahma sandhya occurs an hour before and after sunrise. Positive forces are at their peak. Since this time period is the best time for communion with higher energies, a child that is conceived during this time will be a pure and saintly soul. As the day progresses, energies transform, positive energies go down while negative energy starts to rise, leading to the Tantrik sandhya. This occurs between 10.20am and 11.30 am, where the positive and negative forces are equal in strength. This sandhya aids material gain, thus a child conceived during this time will have a strong hold over the material. At sunset again energies change giving rise to the third sandhya where negative energies are at their peak. A child conceived during this period can show negative traits. However, practices like the Sanatan Kriya are done during this time to protect the child from the negative energies in the environment. The last and fourth sandhya occurs at midnight when negative energies are going down and positive energies are going up. Interaction with the spirit world is very easy during this time. Children conceived during this time will be level headed and with potentiality to interact with the world of ether. However, if your child has Guru Kripa, no matter the time or day of birth, there is nothing he/she will not be able to achieve. These are techniques prescribed, the practice of which gets specific traits in your unborn child. …a man in his late 40’s came and stood next to me in silence and handed me his bowl of water. What I saw in it was that he wanted to know what was wrong with his health. I could see that he was incredibly tense, with ruddy fields of opaque energy, which pointed to his health condition possibly being chronic. When I suggested that spending time floating in water might help him, the look n his face was one of disdain as he returned to his seat. Several months later, in a local market, his wife introduced herself and told me how grateful she was that they’d come that evening. She said her husband had been going to doctor who’d prescribed several medications and told him that unless he took them, he’d become very sick. The man hadn’t listened to them and hadn’t taken the drugs Although he was fairly certain that water couldn’t help him in any way, either, his wife told me that after my presentation, he’d gone home and spent considerably more time floating in their pool. A few months later when he went for his next medical appointment, the doctor was pleased to see that his blood pressure had dropped significantly and commended him on finally taking the prescribed medication. As his wife tells it, her husband just laughed and said, “Actually, all I did was float in water.” Miranda Alcott
