PFA News Hello Parents and Friends, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all who have contributed to the many events run by the PFA this year. I hope that all the students, and parents, have enjoyed the various gatherings, stalls and, of course, the fete. I hope that all families will remember these additional school activities fondly. I would like to thank the Book Club Co-ordinators; Jess, Shanthy and Kylie, for running this program that keeps the kids interested in reading. Thank you Belinda, Tina, Mimi, Bernadette, Eva, Tim and Geraldine for your regular attendance to the meetings. I want to thank Tony Hyde and Debbie Yarak for their assistance and guidance throughout the year. Finally, I would like to thank all who have contributed to these events on the day (or night). Your assistance is always very appreciated. Have a safe and happy holiday. Darren O’Brien PFA Chairperson

OSHClub News After School Care Program Hi families; I can’t believe this is our last newsletter for 2017! After School Care will run as usual next Monday and Tuesday, and we will be here from 1pm on Wednesday the 20th of December the last day of school – please send along a lunch. OSHClub at St Augustine’s CPS in Yarraville runs a Vacation Care program and will be running vacation care on Thursday and Friday next week. St Augustine’s Vacation Care program flyers are available in the OSHClub room and at the school office. If you ever rely on someone in your life to collect you child from OSHClub, please add them to emergency contacts in your child’s enrolment form. Updated forms are received by email and we always have the latest copy printed out. If you are sending an unauthorised person to collect your child, we need authorisation in writing – please send a text message including the FULL NAME of the person collecting your child and inform them that they will be required to produce photo ID at collection. All children who attend OSHClub have a portfolio which contains observations written by staff and, in some cases, artwork samples produced during after school care. Please feel free to view the observations (you can have copies if you like) and collect children’s artworks – they will be discarded at the end of the year. You are always welcome to stay for a while when you collect your children to play with them, look at the Reflection Scrapbook, your child/ren's portfolio, or our Quality Improvement Plan. Our feedback topic at the moment is about what languages your children are exposed to. We’re always grateful for your feedback on any topic and any concerns or suggestions you may have. Write us a note, send us an email or a text message, or just have a chat to us. REMINDERS: If you need to cancel ASC please do so on the internet 24 hours in advance, otherwise leave a message on 0401 501 661 on the day, or pop in to let staff know you are collecting your child so that we know where the children are. OSHClub is open 3:00-6:00pm. There is a $2/minute fee for each child that is picked up after 6pm.
