Dear OSL Family & Friends:
We are beyond blessed and ever so grateful to be a part of such a loving extended family. You have no idea how thankful we are for all your prayers, flowers, and visits in our time of grief during Jeff’s illness and sudden death.
We thank Pastor White and the church and school staff for the beautiful service, and Jeff Armstrong and the LHN Choir & Band for the music, the volunteers for the nice reception, and all the meals for the family. We also want to thank all those who have contributed to Lucy’s UTMB scholarship fund.
Your generosity gives us hope and strength to face the future. Please continue to pray for us as we praise God for you.

Dear OSL Church Family,
You never really appreciate the people in your family until a tragedy strikes and you find how much you are really loved and valued.
Everett and I would like to thank all of you for the get-well cards, food cards, visits, and especially the prayers during Everett’s two-month stay in St. Luke’s Hospital. Your support and kindness was overwhelming and appreciated. He is up and walking and improving daily. Thanks also goes to Pastor White who made several visits to the hospital, which was uplifting for our whole family. We are truly blessed to be members of such a large and devoted family.
In Christ,The Tannert Family

Life News-Thanks!The Walk to finance the Big Blue Baby Bus was a huge success! The Total collected to help our Bus out on the street was $144,356.00! OSL and friends contributed $44, 957.00 to that amount. Yea! Once again our team is #1. You are all magnificent.
Walkers from OSL this year were the Downie Family, Linda Greenwood and Lorie Priddy. Thrivent Insurance bought all the food, paper goods, balloons, etc, for the event. Almost 70 people walked September 10th.
The 40 days for Life had a small bus that traveled all over the USA during this fall’s 40 days. They stopped in Houston on October 30th. One outstanding thing they told us was the “no show” for appointments inside Planned Parenthood was as high as 75% when people were outside praying. So when Spring 40 days comes--volunteer for the LFL day --a great opportunity to stand up for your faith and the unborn.

As hard as I tried, I could not get a personal note of thanks to those who made my 90th Birthday Party one of the most memorable days of my life. Thanks to those who so generously contributed to the two bucket lists in honor of my birthday. The Czech Heritage Museum in Temple and the Africa Mission are my last two bucket lists, I think, but I really make no promises. The most important bucket list to the members of Our Savior is the Africa Mission. It is hard to imagine the love this young Stephens family has exemplified for lost souls and our Lord who commissioned each of us to go and win souls for His Kingdom. This family is not paid by the Synod. That’s trust and bravery. We can all be a part of this mission by our gifts. None will ever know how many souls will be saved through their efforts until we get to heaven. My 90th Birthday Song, composed by our beloved Pastor White is prominently displayed in my apartment and is quite a conversation piece. Thank you all for making me feel so loved.Mildred Holeman
The family of Suzan Doty wishes to thank the many friends at OSL for their concern and prayers for Suzan over the three years she battled cancer, especially the last few weeks when her battle was especially severe. Your prayers meant a lot to her and to us. Thank you and may God continue to bless each of you for your kindness and concern.Pastor & Elva Musgrove

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
As Thanksgiving & Christmas are quickly approaching, we want take this time to say ASANTE SANA (Thank you very much!) for your continued prayer and Þnancial support!! Y’all are such a blessing to our family and as we labor in Kenya, please know that you are a vital part of our team! Y’all are God’s provision to us and we thank you for willingly and lovingly offering your support! We also thank our Good Lord for all that He has done for us & the whole body of Christ… we are all so blessed!!
On the work front… we are in a bit of a “holding pattern” as far as building is concerned. Jason Þnished the detailed site plan and it has been submitted for building permits. As we wait, Jason is being kept quite busy buying building materials, helping plan upcoming seminars, and working on the LIA website - which will soon be available in a few different languages. In the next week or so, he will also begin building a small dam to retain water from a seasonal creek that runs through the property.
Diana continues to Þll her time with the childrenÕs school activities, prayer group, and helping friends. The kids continue to do kid “stuff”… Madeline has soccer try-outs this week. She hasn’t played soccer since 3rd grade, so she’s a bit nervous! Mitchell is turning 11 years old this Friday. We are celebrating by watching a movie at school and then his buddy Jacob will spend the night. When Maja isn’t busy taking care of our chickens, she loves to sing her new “Swahili” songs for anyone that will listen! And… everyone is super excited for Grandma Deanie’s visit in December… we’re counting the days!!
God’s continued blessings to y’all & thank you, again, for your love & support!! We wish you many Thanksgiving blessings and a joyous Advent & Christmas, as you prepare & celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!! We love & miss y’all!! — The Stephens Family
