Variable SpeedVariable Frequency Drives lower energy consumption because the compressors only run at the speed necessary to match the refrigeration loads. Demand charges are greatly reduced because the compressors are “soft started” and run at reduced RPMs.
Conventional compressors come to operating speed from a dead stop to 1800 or even 3600rpm within one second, putting significant physical stress on the motor, causing more failures and higher maintenance costs. Over 500% of normal running power is needed to start conventional motors, resulting in a power “spike” with high “demand charges” which can have a considerable effect on electric KW usage rates. The key to our energy efficiencies is the Advanced Control Strategy ™. Our Variable Speed Drives control the speed of the motors as needed, bringing the motors to operating speed by soft starting them, resulting in a more energy efficient system.
Variable Speed Compressor Racks are proven to be 20-50% more efficient than conventional systems, resulting in enormous energy savings for our customers. Variable Speed equals consistent saturated suction temperatures, which translates to stable product temperatures and puts less stress on persihable products. This results in superior overall product integrity.
