MBTI® Training at Open KitchenOverview

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is one of the most widely used personality assessment tools.

The MBTI® is based on the premise that individuals have fundamental different preferences resulting in different strengths, different ways of seeing the world, and different ways of behaving.

Through a questionnaire, the MBTI® helps people understand personality preferences according to 4 opposite pairs or dichotomies. The interaction among the 4 dichotomies result in 16 possible personality types.

• Extraversion vs. Introversion Where we prefer to focus our attention and get our energy

• Sensing vs. Intuition How we prefer to take in information

• Thinking vs. Feeling How we prefer to make decisions

• Judging vs. Perceiving How we orient ourselves to the external world

The MBTI® can help organizations…

Improve communications, problem solving, and conflict management

Build effective work teams

Enhance management and leadership skills

Strengthen organizational capabilities

DESCRIPTIONGreat teamwork and great meals have something in common. They both start with a great recipe. However, the proper recipe alone will not create phenomenal food. There also needs to be an understanding of how to use the ingredients in the right amounts, at just the right time, to bring forth the best flavors. The same can be said of team performance.

Open Kitchen’s certified MBTI® practitioner and professional chef instructor will facilitate a fun and interactive team building event where participants will discover how their own personality preferences impact the team in the context of a hands-on cooking class.

Emphasis is placed on utilizing each member’s strengths and exploring contributions. Team members will learn how to capitalize on each others' differences and strengths to create something that becomes more than what they each could achieve alone.

The event will conclude with team members dining on what they have created together and a wrap-up session with the facilitator and chef instructor.

Prerequisite: All participants have participated in Module 1 – A Taste of MBTI®

THE PACKAGE - 4-HOUR DURATION & WHAT’S INCLUDED Expert facilitation by certified MBTI® practitioner of your group’s type to the cooking process. Hands-on cooking class with professional chef on a menu of your choice, recipes packet, service staff, non-alcoholic

beverages, and private venue rental. Photos emailed from the event (if desired).

PRICING Minimum 10/Maximum 30 participants -- $345.00 per person
