AP Capstone is a program developed by the College Board. It consists of a two-year high school program and two new courses: the AP Seminar and the AP Research courses. Students who successfully complete the program and obtain scores of 3 or higher on at least four other AP exams receive either an AP Capstone Diploma or an AP Capstone Certificate.
AP Capstone™ is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. It cultivates curious, independent, and collaborative scholars and prepares them to make logical, evidence-based decisions.

FGCU Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE)
The FGCU Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE) is a Full-Time Dual Enrollment at the
FGCU Campus beginning the junior year of high school. This program is designed to bring a
unique educational experience to qualified junior and senior high school students who are seeking
advanced study options through Early Admissions to college. The program provides full-time
study at Florida Gulf Coast University in which students can earn college credit while
simultaneously completing a high school diploma.
The Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE) at FGCU seeks applicants who have a high
motivation for academic success, have demonstrated readiness for high-level and demanding
study, have interest in participating in stimulating and challenging classes and co-curricular
activities, have demonstrated responsibility for themselves and have respect for others, and are
interested in developing leadership skills.
Interested students should meet with their high school counselor to discuss eligibility and attend
an ACE Public Information Meeting at FGCU prior to completing the application for
consideration. Completed online applications and associated forms are due by April 13, 2018 to
be considered for the Fall of 2018. Additional information can also be found at
