Comments:

• We know it's being done, but individually we have not been involved. Staff appreciates recent improvements. However stakeholders still do not understand the purpose of ESU.

• Not sure what stakeholder groups are involved. Are students involved in this group.

• All stakeholders is a broad term and not sure process includes all stakeholders.

• C-It's not on purpose.Need to make sure we communicate the agency purpose.

Comments:• After recent review of Profile it was decided that it was inclusive of all necessary

information. We do not agree that ALL leaders implement a continuous improvement process.

• We do not agree that ALL stakeholders implement a continuous improvement process. It is hard to identify measurable objectives.Since we are not in the schools everyday we can not be accountable and we do not see the implementation everyday. We can only document what we see and we are not sure what is being documented everyday.

• Very little documentation or guidance on what to do better • Larger population of ESU 16 was not involved in the past CIP process so this new

AdvancEd process is all inclusive. • A-Most leaders do but not all.

Continuous improvement??? Not happening all the time with all leaders.B-Not happening all the time with all leaders.D-Staff need to read the profile themselves to better understand.G-Not all personnel are accountable. Not all staff are help to the same accountability.I-Does the process yield improvement?

Comments:

• We assume it goes alright, but we don't have active engagement.

• Are government body members required to participate in professional development. How does the board evaluate their decisions and actions.

• Possible evidence well defined in process • A. Roles are not defined and conflict of roles. Staff should

only provide information for their designated role. There are judgements made during evaluations. Ask questions before making evaluation. Needs to be looked at through systematic way.

Page 15: AdvancEd Standards and Indicators November 19, 2012 Survey results.

Comments:• We get wonderful support for professional development - opportunity for

attending. Concern was expressed that it is across all disciplines to be able to attend.

• Is shared leadership at all personnel levels. The sense of community is hampered by distance and also by individual shared commitment, vision, roles and responsibilities.

• If we are unaware of continuous improvement plan then we are unable to work toward taking the actions.

• A- Don't think everyone takes actions toward continuous improvement.B- Some people are held to higher standards but not all.C.-Some people get to go to professional growth and some don't. One person may use all of the area budget and others don't get to go.D- Need to support collaboration and innovationE-No sense of community in some departments

Comments:

• We need to broaden our communication to stakeholders to seek out additional community members and teachers.

else. Don't ask for feedback. Shared communication with all stakeholders.Understand system development.B-It's not measurable.

Comments:

• Teacher evaluations are too subjective. Sometimes evaluation form did not apply to every discipline.

• Is there a follow through on evaluation and goals each year? How was the evaluation data used and what changes need to be made? Knowledge across disciplines.

• A-Not agency wide. They are opinion driven not data driven.B-The minimal levels.C-We don't do it throughout the agency

Comments:• We did not agree that ALL learners... • If not a standard or hot topic we miss learning experiences or not

offer them. How do you know the teacher prepared the learner to be successful.

• We're not saying we are not successful, but how do we measure it? • A-Sometimes certain people get selected even when others could

be selected because of their expertise, but are not favorites. Choose different people for different perspective.People need to share what was learned and hold each other accountable to use it.B-How is evidence being measured? How are we implementing?C-All activities do meet all individual needs, needs to be more individualized.

Comments:

• Weren't real clear on this one. • Programs are not aligning to perceived needs of

the recipients. • As an example: coaching model, transition or

specific service. • The core beliefs maybe the same but the service

delivery will always be different because of school needs, personality.

• Decisions aren't data based - in some cases. • Don't know what we do is tied to the ESU purpose.

• Technology Dept. keeps us on the cutting edge of technology advancement.

• B- Only some are allowed to go.C-There is not any kind of support to apply knowledge and skills learned.

• Classified staff • Professional learning is evaluated, but is it done

in a systematic way? • A-B-C-D-Sometimes have to argue to get

permission to attend a specific training. What do we feel we need to learn more of?
