Course participants will be registered with the international AHLS-Provider-database. AHLS Switzerland is organized by the Swiss Center for Rescue, Emergency and Disaster Medicine (SCRED) in the context of SFG and is provided in close cooperation with Tox Info Suisse, the Spiez Laboratory of the Swiss protection of the population and the Coordinated Sanitary Services of Switzerland. The Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS)- Course is a 16-hour, two-day course that teaches healthcare professionals to medically manage patients exposed to hazardous materials. The focus is on chemical incidents (incl. nerve gases). Incidents with exposure to biological and radiological events are also covered.
