Pasteboard• The area surrounding the document and is usually

Panel

• Organizes commands and are displayed individually (floating) or in a dock.

Selection Tool• Tool that moves or changes the size of an object by clicking on the

Ellipse Tool• A tool that assists in drawing a round object such as an oval or

Portrait Orientation

• When the height of your document is greater than the width.

Selection Handle

• The eight small hollow boxes at the corners and at each side of the shape.

Dialog Box• A window that appears when you need

to answer specific questions before completing a task.

Control Panel

Direct Select• A tool that allows you to modify just one part of an

Fill• To insert color inside an object. The Color Picker’s Fill

• A tool in the tool box shaped like a hand that helps you move your document around in InDesign
