1. ABBREVIATIONS & ACRONYMS

2. Definitions.-
(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) “Act” means the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation
of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007 (Guj. 2 of 2008);
(b) “Admission” for the purpose of these rules, means admission of candidates in the First Year of
Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior DesignCourses;
(c) “Admission Committee” means the “Admission Committee for Professional Courses” constituted
by the State Government under Government Notification, Education Department No.GH/SH/7/2008/PVS-102003-639-S, dated the 5th May, 2008;
(d) “Architecture Course” means the Bachelor of Architecture in the Professional Educational Colleges
or Institutions of the State;
(e) “CEPT University, Ahmedabad” means the University established constituted under section 3 ofCEPT University Act, 2005 (24 of 2005);
(f) “Construction Technology Aptitude Test” means the test conducted by CEPT University,
Ahmedabad, for the purpose of admission to the Bachelor of Construction Technology Course;
(g) “Construction Technology Course” means the Bachelor of Construction Technology in CEPT
University, Ahmedabad;
(h) “Council” means the Council of Architecture constituted under section 3 of the Architects Act,1972 (20 of 1972);
(i) “Gujarat Board” means the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board established
under section 3 of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, 1972 (Guj.18 of1973);
(j) “Help Centers” means the centre notified by the Admission Committee for facilitation of thecandidate for off campus online admission process;
(K) “Interior Design Aptitude Test” means the test conducted by CEPT University, Ahmedabad, for
the Bachelor of Interior Design Course;
(L) “Interior Design Course” means the Bachelor of Interior Design in CEPT University, Ahmedabad;
(M) “National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)” means the common entrance test conducted
by the Council for the purpose of admissions to Bachelor of Architecture Course;
(N) “Qualifying Examination” means the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, (StandardXII, 10+2 patterns) or equivalent examination;
(O) “Technical Examination Board (TEB)” means the Technical Examination Board, established
by the State Government under Government Resolution, Education and Labour DepartmentNo.ECT-1064/91813-GH, dated the 11th July, 1966.
(P) “Website” means the official website of the Admission Committee to carry out off campusonline admission process;
(2) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the meanings as
assigned to them in the Act.
2. ADMISSION MODALITY#
1. Modality for admission to Bachelor of Architechture Admission Courses, under Gujarat Professional
Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007.

3. Admissions to Architecture Course.-
Admissions to the First Year of the Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and
Bachelor of Interior Design Courses shall be given as under, namely:-
(1) All the Government Seats shall be filled on the basis of merit list prepared by the Admission
Committee constituted under section 4 of the Act, for admissions to the Bachelor of Architecture,
Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses.
(2) All the Management Seats shall be filled by the management of the respective Professional
Educational College or Institution, on the basis of inter-se merit list of the candidates whose names
appear in the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee.
4. Seats Available for Admission.-
(1) For the purpose of admission to the first year of Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction
Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses available seats shall include,-
A. Government Seats :- All the sanctioned seats of Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction
Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses,-
(i) in Government Colleges or Institutions of the State,
(ii) in the aided Colleges or Institutions, and
(iii) seventy-five percent of the total sanctioned seats in the Unaided Colleges or Institutions.
B. Management Seats:-
(1) Twenty-five percent seats of the total sanctioned seats of the Bachelor of Architecture,
Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses in the unaided
Colleges or Institutions, including fifteen percent Non-Resident Indian seats,
(2) The intimation received, in respect of sanction of seats, by the Admission Committee
three days prior to the commencement of the first counseling program, shall be considered
as available seats, and
(3) If any unaided College or Institution requests to fill up the Management Seats by the
Admission Committee, three days prior to the commencement of the counseling program,
such Management Seats shall also be considered as available for giving admissions.
4(A) Special provision relating to Admission in Nirma University: -
Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, admission in the Bachelor of Architecture course of the
Nirma University established under the Nirma University Act, 2003 (Guj. 10 of 2003) shall be granted in the
following manner, namely:-
(1) Distribution of seats :
(a) Fifty percent seats of the total sanctioned seats shall be filled as Government seats from the
candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in the State of
Gujarat and shall be filled by the Admission Committee constituted under section 4 of the Act on
the basis of the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee;
(b) Thirty five percent seats shall be filled by the Nirma University from the candidates who have
passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State)
and have scored at least 40 percent marks in National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA).
Merit list shall be prepared as per para (a) of Sub-rule (2) of rule 11.
(c) Fifteen percent seats shall be filled by the Nirma University as NRI seats from the candidates who
have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat
State) or abroad. Criteria for filling such seats shall be as per the Admission Committee guide-
lines issued in this behalf from time

5 Eligibility for Admission.-
(1) For the purpose of admission to first year of,-
(a) Bachelor of Architecture Course, a candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with
Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects,
(b) Bachelor of Construction Technology Course, a candidate shall have passed the qualifying
examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry /
Biotechnology/ Biology/Computer as an optional subject,
(c) Bachelor of Interior Design Course, a candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination
with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Biotechnology/Biology/
Computer as an optional subject
(2) A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/
ST/SEBC category) in aggregate referred to in sub-rule (1) from,-
(i) the Gujarat Board; or
(ii) the Central Board of Secondary Education: Provided that,
(a) the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of
Gujarat; or
(b) the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union
Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents
(C) are of Gujarat origin; or
(iii) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi:
Provided that:
(a) the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of
Gujarat; or
(b) the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union
Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat
origin; or
(iv) the National Institute of Open Schooling: Provided that,
(a) the study centre/school in which the candidate has studied,
shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or
(b) the study centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located
in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose
parents are of Gujarat origin; or
(v) the International School Board: Provided that,
(a) the study centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been
located in the State of Gujarat; or
(b) the study centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been
located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and
whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or
(vi) Diploma from International Baccalaureate, obtained after 10 years of schooling, with not
less than 50% marks in aggregate; and
(vii) have scored at least 40 per cent. marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture
(NATA), for the Bachelor of Architecture Course; or
(viii) have passed the Construction Technology Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Construction
Technology Course; or
(ix) have passed the Interior Design Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Interior Design Course.

(3) For the purpose of admission to first year of Bachelor of Architecture Course, a candidate shall have
passed the Diploma (10+3 pattern) of any stream with a minimum 50% aggregate marks by,-
(i) the Technical Examination Board, Gujarat State, or
(ii) the Technical Examination Board of other State, or
(iii) a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, a State Act or an institution
declared as deemed to be University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,
1956 (3 of 1956), and
(iv) have scored at least 40 percent marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
(4) For the admission of two seats of the first year of Bachelor of Architecture course in M.S. University,
Vadodara,-
(i) a candidate who have passed first Year of Bachelor of Science examination in the current academic
year with first trial in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a University
established by law, in the State of Gujarat provided the candidate have passed the qualifying
examination, immediately before the academic year in which he has passed first year of Bachelor
of Science examination, and
(ii) have scored at least 40 percentage marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
(5) For the purpose of admission the candidates of other States, who have passed the qualifying examination
from the schools recognized by the concerned State Government or from National Institute of Open
Schooling (NIOS), an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Human Recourses Development,
Government of India, or from International School Board and
(i) have scored at least 40 per cent. marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA),
for the Bachelor of Architecture Course; or
(ii) have passed the Construction Technology Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Construction
Technology Course; or
(iii) have passed the Interior Design Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Interior Design Course shall be
eligible for admission in the seats reserved for the category of other States.
(6) A candidate who has,-
(i) studied under Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme upto Standard VIII in any of the schools
located in the State of Gujarat,
(ii) thereafter studied in any of the schools located out of the State of Gujarat under the said
scheme,
(iii) passed qualifying examination from a Navodaya Vidyalay located outside Gujarat State, and
(iv) scored at least 40 per cent. marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA),
conducted by the Council for the Bachelor of Architecture Course; or
(v) has passed the Construction Technology Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Construction
Technology course; or
(vi) has passed the Interior Design Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Interior Design Course,
shall be eligible for admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list prepared
under clause (b) of sub-rule (3) of rule 11.
Explanation.- “Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme” means the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme
started during the year 1985-86 by the Government of India in accordance with the National Policy
of Education. The scheme is managed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization
under the department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
(7) A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination after appearing in the supplementary
examination conducted by the Board shall be eligible for admission in the current academic year

on the Vacant Seats declared under rule 20.
(8) The minimum marks required to be obtained in the qualifying
examination shall be as specified in the table below:-

(9) The candidate shall have to pass all the subjects of the qualifying examination from one board
6. Reservation of Seats.-
(1) For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for the candidates who are of Gujarat origin
and falling under the following categories and in following proportion, namely:-
(a) Scheduled Castes : 7 %
(b) Scheduled Tribes : 15%
(c) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes,
including Widows and orphan of any caste : 27%
(2) A candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a Certificate of Caste:
Provided that the candidate belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes shall be required
to produce a certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer in addition to the caste certificate.
(3) No caste certificate shall be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the authority
empowered by the Government of Gujarat.
(4) No certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer shall be valid, unless it is duly stamped,
signed and issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat. Such certificate shall
have been issued on or after the 1st April of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking
admission.
(5) If a candidate fails to submit the certificates as required under sub-rule (2) within the stipulated time,
his candidature shall be considered for admission under unreserved category.
(6) If a candidate of reserved category gets admission on unreserved seat in order of merits, he may be
given admission on the unreserved seat according to his preference.
(7) The admission of a candidate of a reserved category on a reserved seat shall be valid subject to the
verification of caste certificate issued to him by the authority empowered by the State Government
in this behalf. In case the caste certificate is found to be invalid on verification, he shall not have right
to claim his admission on reserved seat and if he has already been granted admission, such admission
shall be cancelled. Admission of such candidate may be continued in case of availability of vacant
unreserved seats, subject to the condition of eligibility of merit.
(8) After granting admission to all the candidates of reserved categories on respective reserved seats, the
reserved category seats remaining vacant shall be transferred to the unreserved category seats.

7. Reservation For Physically Disabled Candidates.-
Three percent of the available seats in each category shall be reserved, in accordance with the provisions
of the Persons With Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995
(1 of 1996), for the person with disability who can perform the academic activities in the respective course.
A candidate with disability shall have to submit certificate of disability issued and duly signed by the Civil
Surgeon.
Explanation.- “person with disability” means a person suffering from not less than forty per cent. of any
disability as certified by a Civil Surgeon.
8. Reservation for the Children of Defence Personnel and Ex-Servicemen.-
(1) One percent of available seats shall be reserved for the children of Defense Personal and Ex-Servicemen,
for admission.
(2) A candidate claiming admission against Ex-Servicemen category shall be required to submit a certificate
to that effect issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat State or by the District Sainik
Welfare Officer. In-Service Defense Personnel shall be required to submit a certificate to that effect
issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective unit in which they are serving.
(3) The seats remaining vacant against the category of Defense Personnel and Ex-Serviceman in case of
candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher
Secondary Education Board, shall be allotted to the children of Defense Personals and Ex-Serviceman
of the Central Board. The seats remaining vacant thereafter shall be filled up from the merit list of
candidates of unreserved category of the Gujarat Board.
(4) The children of Defense Personals and Ex-Serviceman of Gujarat origin shall be included under the
reserved category specified in this rule, if they have passed the qualifying examination from the
schools located outside the Gujarat State and have scored minimum 40 per cent. marks in the
National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), Construction Technology Aptitude Test for the Bachelor
of Construction Technology course, or the Interior Design Aptitude Test for the Bachelor of Interior
Design course.
9. Supernumerary Seats.- The supernumerary seats shall be filled in the following manner, namely:-
(a) Supernumerary seats of Bachelor of Construction Technology and Interior Design Courses shall be
filled in accordance with the directions of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New
Delhi or the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
(b) The supernumerary seats, if any, of Bachelor of Architecture Course shall be filled in accordance
with the directions of the Council or the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government
of India.
10. Distribution of Seats between Students of Gujarat Board and Other Boards.-
For the purpose of admission, the available seats shall be distributed as follows, namely:-
(A) For Bachelor of Architecture-
(i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination 84%
from the Gujarat Board or Technical Examination Board,
Gujarat State or obtained Diploma from a University or
Institution located in Gujarat State;
(ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in the 6%
Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or

(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate
(iii) The candidates who have studied from the schools located outside of the 10%
Gujarat State and have passed the qualifyingexamination from,
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate
(B) For Bachelor of Architecture Course CEPT University-
(i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination 71%
from the Gujarat Board or Technical Examination Board,
Gujarat State or obtained Diploma from a University or
Institution located in Gujarat State;
(ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in the 4%
Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate
(iii) The candidates who have studied from the schools located outside of the 25%
Gujarat State and have passed the qualifyingexamination from,
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate
(C) For Bachelor of Construction Technology in CEPT University-
(i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination 69%
from the Gujarat Board;
(ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in 06%
the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(iii) The candidates who have studied from the schools located 25%
outside of the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying
examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(D) For Bachelor of Interier Design in CEPT University-
(i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination 71%
from the Gujarat Board;
(ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in 04%
the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-

(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(iii) The candidates who have studied from the schools located 25%
outside of the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying
examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
11. Preparation of Merit List.-
(1) The merit list of the candidates who have applied for admission in the manner prescribed by the
Admission Committee, within the prescribed time limit and who are found eligible for admission
under these rules, shall be prepared in the following manner, namely:-
(i) Bachelor of Architecture Courses,
(ii) Bachelor of Construction Technology, and
(iii) Bachelor of Interior Design.
(2) (a) For the candidates who are eligible for admission, sum of 50 percentage weightage of the
aggregate marks of all subjects of the qualifying examination and the 50 percentage weightage
of the valid NATA score obtained in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture shall be the merit
marks for the Bachelor of Architecture Course.
(b) For the candidates who are eligible for admission, sum of 40 percentage weightage of the
aggregate marks of all subjects of the qualifying examination and the 60 percentage weightage
of the marks obtained in the Construction Technology Aptitude Test shall be the merit marks
for the Bachelor of Construction Technology Course.
(c) For the candidates who are eligible for admission, sum of 30 percentage weightage of the
aggregate marks of all subjects of the qualifying examination and the 70 percentage weightage
of the marks obtained in the Interior Design Aptitude Test shall be the merit marks for the
Bachelor of Interior Design Course.
(3) The merit lists referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be prepared and published separately in the following
manner, namely:-
(I) For Bachelor of Architecture-
(a) (i) The first merit list shall include the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination
from the Gujarat Board or Technical Examination Board Gujarat State, or obtained Diploma
from a University or institution located in Gujarat State.
(ii) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately;
(b) (i) The second merit list shall include the candidates who have studied in the schools located
in the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or the Council of Indian School Certificate
Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(b) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(c) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately.
(d) (i) The third merit list shall include the candidates who have studied from the schools located
outside of the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-

(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(ii) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately.
(II) Separate merit lists for Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design
Courses shall be prepared as under:-
(a) (i) The first merit list shall include the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from
the Gujarat Board.
(ii) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately;
(b) (i) The second merit list shall include the candidates who have studied in the schools located in
the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(ii) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately.
(c) (i) The third merit list shall include the candidates who have studied from the schools located
outside of the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-
(a) the Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or
(b) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board, New Delhi; or
(c) the National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board School; or
(d) the Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate.
(ii) The Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately.
(4) The criteria for deciding merit order in case of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination
from the Gujarat Board or any other Board having equal merit marks shall be in the following
sequence-
(A) (1) For Architecture Course:
(i) Valid ‘NATA’ Score for Bachelor of Architecture course;
(ii) Marks obtained in Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics subject in qualifying
examination.
(iii) Marks obtained in English subject in qualifying examination.
(iv) Date of Birth (candidate, who is older in age shall be given priority)
(2) The criteria for deciding merit order in case of candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering
from Technical Examination Board (TEB) of any State having equal merit marks shall be in the
following sequence, namely:-
(i) Valid ‘NATA’ Score.
(ii) Aggregate marks of Diploma Engineering examination.
(iii) Date of Birth (Candidate who is older in age shall be given priority).
(3) The criteria for deciding merit order in case of one student has passed Diploma in Engineering from
Technical Examination Board of any State and second student has passed HSC as qualifying exam
having equal merit marks shall be in the following sequence, namely:-
(i) Valid ‘NATA’ Score
(ii) Date of Birth (Candidate who is older in age shall be given priority).
(B) Bachelor of Construction Technology Course
(i) Score of ‘Construction Technology Aptitude Test’

(ii) Marks obtained in Mathematics subject in qualifying examination.
(iii) Marks obtained in English subject in qualifying examination.
(iv) Date of Birth (candidate, who is older in age shall be given priority)
(C) For Bachelor of Interior Design Course
(i) Score of Interior design Aptitude Test ‘
(ii) Marks obtained in Mathematics subject in qualifying examination.
(iii) Marks obtained in English subject in qualifying examination.
(iv) Date of Birth (candidate, who is older in age shall be given priority)
(5) The merit list shall be displayed, on the notice board of the office of the Admission Committee, its
official web-site and by such other means, as the Admission Committee may consider convenient.
12. Correction of Marks.-
(1) In case of change in marks of a candidate in the qualifying examination, such candidate shall produce
a letter to that effect issued by the competent authority or the corrected mark sheet issued by the
Board, before the Admission Committee at least one day before the commencement of admission
process (counseling program) but not later than seven days from the receipt of letter, as the case may
be, corrected mark-sheet. In such case, he shall be placed at an appropriate order in the merit list.
(2) The candidate who was declared failed initially in the qualifying examination, but later on declared
passed after rechecking of marks by the Board, such student shall, notwithstanding any time limit
prescribed, be allowed to apply for the admission provided he produces a letter to that effect issued
by the competent authority or the corrected mark sheet issued by the Board, within seven days of
the receipt of letter, or as the case may be, corrected mark-sheet. In such case, he shall be placed
at an appropriate order in the merit list.
13. Admission.- (A) Admission to Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor
of Interior Design Courses shall be given in the following manner, namely:-
(1) A candidate seeking admission shall apply on-line, for the registration of his candidature, on the
web-site, within the time limit specified by the Admission Committee.
(2) The Admission Committee shall, by advertisement in the prominent newspapers widely circulated in
the State, by web-site and by such other means, as it may consider convenient, publish the date of
registration, the list of Help Centers, last date for submission of registration form, courses offered and
such other information as may be necessary in this behalf.
(3) For the purpose of registration, a candidate shall be required to make payment of such sum towards
the Registration fee, etc. as determined by the Admission Committee.
(4) Where a candidate has made more than one registrations, the registration made at the later stage
shall be taken into consideration for admission purpose and the other registration shall be treated as
cancelled.
(5) A candidate shall be required to obtain the print out of the registration form and shall sign and
submit the same, along with the self-attested copies of the requisite certificates and testimonials as
specified in the registration form, at the Help Centre. The candidate shall have to produce for
verification, the original certificates and testimonials of the documents attached with the registration
form, at the Help Center, within time-limit as may be specified by the Admission Committee. An
acknowledgement receipt for the same shall be given by the person authorised by the Admission
Committee.

(6) The Help Center may retain any original certificate or testimonial and issue the receipt of the same,
which it considers necessary until the admission process is completed. Such Help Center shall return
the original certificate or testimonial to the candidate after completion of the admission process.
(7) The candidate who is unable to produce original certificates and testimonials necessary for the
purpose of admission at the time of registration within the time-limit prescribed in sub-rule (5), may
be registered for admission, subject to following conditions, namely:-
(i) On payment of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand) to the Admission Committee as security
deposit by the candidate. If the candidate submits the required documents within a period of
five working days, the remaining amount of the security deposit shall, after deducting Rs. 500/-
(Rupees Five hundred) towards the administrative expenditure, be refunded.
(ii) In the event of failure to submit original certificates and testimonials within the
time limit as aforesaid, the registration may be cancelled and the security deposit may be
forfeited.
(B) Admission to the Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses for the
academic year 2013-14##.-
(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), for the academic year 2013-14, admission to
the Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses shall be given in
the following manner, namely:-
(i) For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall apply, for the course in which he desires to
have admission, within the time limit specified by the Admission Committee, in the form as
prescribed by the Admission Committee.
(ii) The application form for admission can be obtained from the centres as may be notified by the
Admission Committee, on payment of a sum as may be determined by the Admission Committee,
from time to time.
(iii) Where a candidate has made more than one application, for the same course, the application made
at the later stage shall be taken into consideration for admission and the other applications shall
be treated as cancelled.
(iv) The application form duly filled, shall be submitted by the candidate, in person, at the CEPT
University, along with the self-attested copies of the certificates and testimonies, as specified in the
application form. A receipt for the same shall be given by such person as may be authorized by
the CEPT University.
(v) The Admission Committee shall, by advertisement in the prominent newspapers widely circulated
in the State, and by such other means, as the committee may considers convenient, publish the
date of issue of application, place from where the application form may be obtained and to where
to submit, last date for submission of application form and such other information as may be
necessary in this behalf.
(C) Admission Procedure for off-line admission under clause (B) shall be as under:-
(1) All the applications duly received shall be scrutinized by the Admission Committee in accordance
with the provisions of these rules and prepare a merit list of the candidates found eligible for
admission.
(2) The merit list shall be displayed, on the notice board of the office of the Admission Committee,
its official web-site and by such other means, as the Admission Committee may consider convenient.
(3) The Admission Committee shall publish the admission programme, by an advertisement in the
prominent newspapers widely circulated in the State, and by such other means, as the Admission
Committee may consider convenient.
(4) The candidate whose name appears in the merit list shall have to remain present personally for
counseling for the purpose of admission at the scheduled date, time and place.

(5) In case the candidate is unable to remain present personally, on the date, time and place of
counseling, due to serious illness, accident or unavoidable circumstances, his parents or guardian
shall, after obtaining prior approval of the CEPT University or any officer authorized by the
Admission Committee, remain present on the scheduled date time and place. An authority letter
signed by the candidate shall have to be produced by the parents or guardian who shall remain
present in his behalf, along with the documentary evidence showing reason for the absence or
inability to remain present personally.
(6) After getting admission the candidate shall, within a period of three working days, report to the
CEPT University. In case the candidate fails to get himself registered, within the time limit, the
admission granted shall be treated as cancelled.
(7) In case the candidate fails to get himself registered, within the time limit due to unavoidable
circumstances, the candidate shall, after obtaining prior approval of the CEPT University or any
officer authorized by the Admission Committee, within three days after the expiry of the time limit,
produce documentary evidence showing reason for such failure. If the Admission Committee is
satisfied, may grant him further period of not more than three days to report for the purpose of
registration.
(8) In case the candidate does not remain present for counseling for the purpose of admission at the
scheduled date and time and approaches the CEPT University or any officer authorized by the
Admission Committee, on later date, with an application in writing, to allow him for admission, he
may be permitted for counseling and granted admission on the seat in the respective category
available at such later date. He shall have no right to claim for the admission on the seat in the
respective category available on the scheduled date and time.
(9) The candidate belonging to reserved category may be allowed to remain present at the scheduled
date and time of counseling for admission of the candidates of unreserved category, as per his merit
number in the unreserved category. The admission shall be granted to such candidate in unreserved
category, only if he is eligible to get admission in the reserved category.
(10) In case, the seats remain vacant, and it appears to the committee to fill the vacant seats, it may
conduct the admission process for readjustment (reshuffling) of seats. The candidate who does not
remain present during the readjustment (reshuffling) process, the admission granted to such
candidate during previous counseling shall continue.
14. Admission Procedure.-
The admission procedure shall be off campus online in the following manner, namely:-
(1) The Admission Committee shall prepare merit lists of the eligible candidates who have applied under
sub-rule (1) of rule 13, after verification of the documents submitted under sub-rule (5) of rule 13.
(2) The merit lists shall be displayed on the web-site of the Admission Committee and by such other
means, as the Committee may consider convenient.
(3) The Admission Committee shall publish the schedule of online counseling program on its web-site,
by advertisement in the prominent newspapers widely circulated in the State, and by such other
means, as it may consider convenient.
(4) The candidate shall be required to indicate his order of choices of courses and colleges or institutions,
online. Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit, category of the candidate and availability
of seats. The allotment of seats shall be published on the web-site of the Committee. The candidates
are required to obtain the print out of the Information letter and bank fee receipt copies from the
website.

(5) The candidate shall be required to pay such fee, as may be determined by the Admission Committee.
(6) On payment of tuition fees as required under sub-rule (5), either online payment or in the branches
of banks as specified, the admission allotted to the candidate shall get confirmed. The candidate shall
be required to login to his account to get the print out of the Admissions Slip. In case, the candidate
fails to pay the tuition fees within the prescribed time limit as aforesaid, the admission offered to
him shall be treated as cancelled. Such candidate shall not be eligible to get admission on same
course in the same institute in the successive rounds of counseling.
(7) Where considerable number of seats fall vacant and it appears to the Admission Committee to fill
the vacant seats, it may conduct the on-line admission process for readjustment (reshuffling) of seats.
The candidate, who opts to partake in reshuffling process, shall be considered for such admission. The
candidate may either give option for up gradation of choices already given or submit new choices.
If the candidate gets the admission on the basis of up-gradation or new choice, then his earlier admission
shall be treated as cancelled.
15. Fee.-
(1) A candidate who gets admission in the Government or aided college or institution shall have to pay such
fees, as may be determined by the Government, at such stages, as may be determined by the
Admission Committee.
(2) A candidate who gets admission in unaided colleges or institutions shall have to pay such fees, as may
be determined by the Fee Regulatory Committee constituted under section 9 of the Act, for unaided
colleges or institutions, at such stages, as may be determined by the Admission Committee.
(3) If a candidate, who has paid the fees after getting admission, gets his admission cancelled, within the
time limit specified by the Admission Committe, his fees shall be refunded after completion of the
admission process, provided that the seat vacated by him is filled by another candidate.
(4) If a candidate who has paid the fees after getting admission and gets his admission changed in another
course and/or college or institution in the readjustment (reshuffling) process, he shall pay the difference
of fees, if any, at the time of getting admission or, as the case may be, fees shall be refunded after
the completion of admission process.
16. Change of College or Institution- Except as provided in these rules, no candidate shall, after getting admission,
be allowed to change the college or institution in any circumstance.
17. Documents to be Attached with the application: The candidate shall submit the self-attested copies of
the following documents along with the application or, as the case may be, print out of the egistration
form at the Help Center or, as the case may be, at the CEPT University, namely:-
(i) S.S.C. Examination (Std. X) Mark-sheet,
(ii) H.S.C. Examination (Std. XII) Mark-sheet,
(iii) Mark-sheet of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission in the Bachelor of
Architecture Course,
(iv) Mark-sheet of Construction Technology Aptitude Test for admission in the Bachelor of
Construction Technology Course,
(v) Mark-sheet of Interior Design Aptitude Test for admission in the Bachelor of Interior Design
Course,
(vi) School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate,
(vii) Caste certificate for a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and

Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), issued by the authority empowered by the
State Government in this behalf,
(viii) Non Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate of the family, issued after 1st April of the relevant academic
year, by the authority empowered by the State Government in this behalf,
(ix) Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/ competent Medical
Authority, in case the candidate is a Physically Handicapped,
(x) Certificate of Ex-Serviceman, duly issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat State or
by the District Sainik Welfare Officer,
(xi) A copy of certificate of In-Serviceman duly issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective
unit in which he is serving,
(xii) A copy of certificate of income issued by the authority empowered by the State Government
in this behalf, if applicable,
(xiii) Latest Passport size Photograph of candidate.
(xiv) Such other certificates as the Admission Committee deems necessary.
(2) After getting the admission, the candidate shall have to produce for verification, the original
certificates and testimonials of the documents attached with the application form or, as the case may be,
print out of the registration form, at the Help Center or, as the casemay be, at the CEPT University.
(3) The Help Center or, as the case may be, at the CEPT University may retain any original certificate or
testimonial, which it considers necessary until the admission process is completed. The said certificate
or testimonial shall be handed over by CEPT University or, as the case may be, at the Help Center to
the college or institution or candidates after completion of the admission process.
(4) The candidate who is unable to produce original certificates and testimonials necessary for the purpose
of admission at the time-limit counseling, he may be granted provisional admission, subject to following
conditions, namely:-
(i) On payment of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand) to the Admission Committee as security deposit
by the candidate. If the candidate submits the required documents within a period of three working
days, the remaining amount of the security deposit shall after deducting Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five
hundred) towards the administrative expenditure, be refunded;
(ii) In the event of failure to submit original certificates and testimonials within the time limit as
aforesaid, the provisional admission may be cancelled and the security deposit may be forfeited.
18. Ineligibility for admission on production of false documents.-
During verification of documents or subsequently, if the Help Centeror, as the case may
be, at the CEPT University finds any certificate or testimony or information submitted by any
candidate, incorrect or false, the candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled for that year and he shall
be disqualified for admission for the period of next two years.
19. Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee.-
(1) In case of cancellation of admission or transfer of candidate by the Admission Committee, due to
administrative reasons, the college or institution in which the candidate was granted admission shall
refund the fee collected by it, to such candidate.
(2) (a) In case of a candidate withdrawing his candidature before completion of admission process, for
any reason whatsoever, he may login to his account on the website of the admission committee

for online admission process and put the request for cancellation of admission within the time limit
specified by the Admission Committee. In such case, the fee collected, if any, by the Admission
Committee shall be refunded to such candidate, subject to the condition of such vacated seat
being filled up by the Admission Committee.
(b) After completion of online admission process and before declaration of schedule of admission on
vacant seats, if any candidate who has withdrawn his candidature in the manner as provided in para
(a), the fees paid by him shall be refunded, subject to the condition of such vacated seat being filled
up by the institution, as per the directions of Admission Committee and prevailing rules of AICTE.
(c) A candidate desirous to withdraw his candidature after completion of admission on vacant seats,
for any reason whatsoever, shall have to request in writing in person to the college or institution
in which he is granted admission but he shall not be entitled to get refund of the fees paid by
him for getting admission.
(d) In case of cancellation of admission at college or institute level on the request of the student, he
shall liable to pay the fees for the current semester and no college or institution shall demand fees
for further semester.
20. Vacant Seats.-
(1) After offering admission to all the candidates whose names appear in the merit list or after
completion of the online admission process, if the seats remain vacant, such vacant seats shall befilled by the college or institution by preparing common merit list, in accordance with the directions
of the Admission Committee and in the manner prescribed in sub-rule (2).
(2) The Admission Committee shall, by an advertisement in the prominent newspapers widely circulated
in the State, by web-site and by such other means, as it may consider convenient, display the detailsof vacant seats. Such vacant seats shall be filled by college or institution by inviting application from
the eligible candidates and prepare an interse merit-list in the following order, namely:-
(i) the names of the candidates whose names appear in the merit list of the Admission Committee;
(ii) candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination in supplementary examination andshall have qualifying NATA examination with valid NATA score;
(iii) after allotting the seats to candidates mentioned in sub-clauses (i) and (ii), if any seatremains vacant, the college or institution shall invite applications from the candidates who
have cleared the qualifying examination with minimum eligibility criteria prescribed in rule 5but not registered online during period of registration shall be eligible for admission.
21. Admission to Unaided Colleges or Institutions.-
(1) The Management Seats may be filled, by the management of the respective unaided colleges orinstitutions based on the inter-se merit list of the candidates whose names appears in the merit list
prepared by the Admission Committee:
Provided that no candidate shall be admitted against the management seat unless his name appearsin the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee:
Provided further that where any Non Resident Indian seat remains vacant, such seat shall be filledin from the Management Seat:
Provided also that where any management seat remains vacant, such seat shall be filled by theAdmission Committee as Government Seat.
(2) The admission process for filling up of Management Seats shall be carried out by the managementof the respective unaided colleges or institutions in accordance with the procedure as may be
determined by the Admission Committee.

(3) The unaided colleges or institutions shall collect the fees, as may be determined by the Fee Regulatory
Committee, constituted under section 9 of the Act and such other fees as provided under the
provisions of the Act.
(4) No college or institution shall retain the original documents or testimonial of the candidate. In case
of breach of such provision, the college or institution shall be liable to penalty as specified in rule 21.
21. Penalty.-
Any breach of any of the provisions of the Act, or the rules or any directions issued by the Government,
the Admission Committee or, as the case may be, the Fee Regulatory Committee, by any person, shall be
liable to penalty as provided in the Act.
23. Interpretation.-
In implementation of the provisions of these rules, if any difficulty or question arises as to the interpretation
of any provision, the decision of the State Government shall be final.

All the cadidates hereby informed that all the activities of admisison described in this chapter canbe performed within stipulated time limit as declared by Admission Committee, and refer theadmission schedule declared by Admission Committee time to time.
3.1 PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION:
1. Gujarat Board / CBSE / ISCE / NIOS / IB students who have passed HSC Examination (AnyStream) with Mathematics / Business Maths / Statistics or Diploma of any stream (10+3 years)from Gujarat and other States have to log on to the website www.gujacpc.nic.in from anywhereon the internet for Online Registration. The window as shown in Fig 3.1 will appear on thecomputer screen.
2. To register as a new candidate click the Click Here For New Registration button. By doing so,New Registration window will be displayed on the computer screen as shown in Fig. 3.2

3. The candidate has to choose the course name by selecting the option of choice for “Bachelor of
Architecture” discipline from (Fig. 3.2) the combo and wait till the other details appear on the
computer screen. (Fig 3.3)
4. After that, enter NATA candidate ID as per NATA score card, user ID (as Sr. No. printed on PIN cover),
14 digit PIN obtained from bank, Name as per the NATA Score card and other details in the appropriate
box. Verify the details entered and if every detail entered is correct, click SUBMIT button. Then, the
Online Registration Form window will be displayed on the computer screen as shown in the Fig. 3.4
Caution: Please enter above three details very carefully as no correction is possible afterword.

5. Candidate belonging to SC categaroty and wanting to avail benefits of free ship card is required to fill in
the family income. If the family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs, provided He/She produces an Income
certificate issued by competent authority, the tuition fees of such candidate will be Rs. 0.00.

6. The candidate has to fill up personal details in the given format as displayed in Online Registration
Form. Depending on your qualifying examination further details will be displayed on the screen
(Fig. 3.6 A, B, C), start filling the details.
7. After that, the candidate has to enter a password by entering with at least 6 (six) and maximum 12
(twelve) alphanumeric characters. Re-enter the same password at the space marked as Confirm Password.
For future transactions the candidate has to use the same User ID and password only. So candidate has
to remember the password for subsequent login.
Caution : Please do not share your password and PIN given with the booklet, with
anyone.
8. Verify the entries made and if every details found correct then choose I accept option at the
bottom of the form, if the declaration is acceptable. If the candidate selects I accept option, he will be
allowed to click the SUBMIT button.
9. By doing so, Registration Details will be generated as shown in Fig. 3.7 A and Fig. 3.7 B. If any
corrections are required then press Edit Registration Details button. The Online Registration Form will
appear with already filled details which can be edited by the candidate. After editing, the candidate
has to verify the details entered and if every detail found correct, click Confirm Registration Details
button. No changes to registration details will be allowed after this.
10. The candidate will be able to take printout of the Registration Details only after pressing Confirm
Registration Details button. The candidate can click the Print Your Details button for printing Registration
Details page.
11. For confirmation of registration at Help Centre, the candidates have to take printout of the Registration
Details (two copies). Self-attested copies of all relevant documents (as per the list mentioned at the bottom
of the Registration Details) should be attached with the Registration Details. Both candidate as well as
parent/guardian of the candidate has to compulsorily sign the
Registration Details at the space provided.
12. The candidate then has to reach at Architecture Help Centre with Original documents for submission of the
Registration Details and its attachments.
13. Relevant documents with originals. The officer will retain Registration Details and set of self attested
documents, and issue the Registration Slip with signature and seal The officer at the Help Centre will
verify the Registration Details and photocopies of to the candidate. It is mandatory for all the
candidates including
Open/General category, to confirm the registration at Architecture Help Centre and obtain Registration
Slip, without which they shall not be eligible for further admission process.
14. After successful completion of registration process, provisional merit number (rank) will be allotted
on a stipulated date. Candidate will be able to view provisional merit number (rank) with his user
ID on website www.gujacpc.nic.in under Registration Details button OR can also view on website
www.jacpcldce.ac.in.

2. For filling up of the choices of courses and institutes the candidate has to login to the website
www.gujacpc.nic.in by using login ID and password within the time limit as prescribed by
Admisison Committee. After login, the candidate can see all available choices according to his
eligibility. There will be so many options of available choices for candidate. The candidate can
sort his choices according to institute name and/or course name, district wise etc. (Fig. 3.8)
3. The candidate can fill single choice at a time.

4. For filling up single choice, by clicking on ADD button in first grid, one can fill single choice
at one time and the choice will be displayed in second grid after the previously selected
choices as shown in Fig. 3.9.
5. As shown in fig. 3.10 in Move Choice Function, the candidate, by entering the current choice
number in the box and the choice number to which it is to be shifted [2] in the box, can get
the current choice number inserted between choices 1 and 3.
6. Using Swap Choice Function, candidate can interchange any two choice priorities. For this
candidate will have to enter choice numbers which are to be interchanged in the boxes provided.
As shown in Fig. 3.11, choice number [3] will be shifted to choice number [4] and the previous
choice number [4] will be shifted to choice number [3].
7. The candidate has to click on Save choices button for saving the filled choices at regular
interval. After filling all choices he has to click on Save and exit button then window will
open as Shown in Fig. 3.12, which will show the filled choices in order of preferences.

8. If the candidate wants to modify choices, he should click on Modify Choices button then
he will be redirected to choice submission page (Ref. Fig. 3.9).
9. The candidate has to lock his final choices within the stipulated time limit. On
clicking Lock Choices button a message “Enter your 14 digit PIN” will be displayed as shown
in Fig. 3.13 After entering your PIN, choices will be locked. If he wants to modify the locked
choices, he may do so by clicking on Unlock Choices button. By entering your 14 digit PIN
you can unlock the filled choices. Repeat the same procedure of locking of choices mentioned
earlier.
3.3 MOCK ROUND :
Mock round is a trial process to understand the choice filling process as well as seat allotment
process, also to know the possible availability of courses / institute as per the merit of
candidate.
There will be one mock (practice) round of seat allotment prior to the actual seat allotment.
During the mock round the candidates have to fill their choices online within the specified
time period. After that as per the counseling schedule the result will be declared. The
candidates have to see their result by login to their login ID on the website. The result and
analysis can also be available on website www.jacpcldce.ac.in. After the declaration of the
result of the mock round, candidates can go through the cutoff marks of the different courses
and institutes so that they can get an idea of filling the choices for the actual round. And at
the end, after declaration of result of mock round, the candidates can fill their Final Choices
for first regular round of counseling.
Since the seat allotment being done in accordance with candidate’s Merit number, Category
and choices given by all the candidates, it is not necessary to get the same seat in the first
round as acquired in the Mock round.

3.4 FIRST PHASE OF ALLOTMENT OF SEAT :
1. After the choice filling period is over, the ACPC will process for allotment of seats and declare
the status of allotment on the website www.gujacpc.nic.in. The candidates can view their
status of allotment by login to their own login ID.
2. The statistics of the latest allotment status of seats will also be available on the website
www.gujacpc.nic.in as well as on www.jacpcldce.ac.in.
3. After declaration of results of allotment of seats, if the candidate gets any seat, he can get
Information Letter along with bank fee challans showing requisite tuition fees to be paid, by
clicking on the link Result and thereafter on Information Letter (as shown in Fig. 3.14). If the

candidate didn’t get any seat then message will be shown as “Sorry! You did not get any
seat”. The candidate who has been allotted a seat, shall take the printout of the Information
Letter of seat allotment (two copies). The candidate wishes to pay fees at bank has to take
print out of a Payment Slip and those who wishes to make the payment online either using
debit/credit card or net banking facility can do so by clicking on “Make Online Payment”
button.
3.5 PROCEDURE FOR CONFIRMATION OF ALLOTTED ADMISSION :
1. The successful candidate has to pay by cash the requisite amount of tuition fee at any of designated
branches of Punjab National Bank or through online payment within the time limit specified by the
Admission Committee. By doing so, the admission allotted to the candidate get automatically
confirmed. Then candidate has to click on Admission Detail, thereafter click on Print Admission Slip
link, by doing so, candidate can get the print of “Admission Slip” (Fig. 3.15) after entering in to his
login ID.
2. The candidate, who has been allotted seat, but does not deposit the prescribed fee by the
due date, his particular admission will automatically be cancelled. Therefore, the candidates
are advised to deposit their fee within the stipulated time limit without fail. However he can
take part in the next round of counseling, if any, provided he has to give online consent
during the specified time limit but such a candidate shall not be eligible to get admission on
the particular seat allotted to him in subsequent phases of admission.

3. Those candidates whose Payment Slip generated with zero fee need not go to the bank. They
have to confirm their admission online by using their user ID and password. For confirmation
of their admission such candidates have to click on Result —> Information Letter, then a
message as shown in Fig. 3.16 will be displayed. To confirm their admission, click on Accept
button. Those candidates who click on Decline button, their allotted admission will not be
confirmed, and such candidates shall not be eligible to claim the particular seat allotted to
them in the subsequet phases of admission, if any. Those candidates who accept the admission
can get the print of “Admission Slip” (Fig. 3.15) after entering in to their login ID.
4. Now, if the admitted candidate is NOT willing to participate in the next round of admission
in order to upgrade his admission, he has to immediately report to the allotted Institute for
enrolment with “Information Letter”, “Admission Slip” Bank Challan / Online Fee Receipt and
photo copies of all documents. The candidate is not required to submit original certificates/
documents at the institute. Here, the candidate is not required to make any payment in any
manner/on any head until and unless the admission of the current year declared closed
officially by ACPC.
3.6 TO CANCEL THE ADMISSION AND THEREAFER RE-INSTATE THE ADMISISON
1. After confirmation of admission in particular phases of admission, if the candidate wishes to
cancel his admission within the schedule prescribed by the Committee, he has to click on
Admisison Cancel (Ref. Fig. 3.17) button by login in the website with his user ID and password.
By doing so, his present status of the admisison will be displayed and by clicking the Submit
for Cencellation button (as shown in Fig. 3.18), the details of cancellation can be seen.

If the cadidate wants to cancel the admisison which has already confirmed, he has to click on
OK button shown in Fig. 3.18 Thereafter SMS containing OTP (One Time Password) will be
sent on the mobile number which was registered by the candidate at the time of registration.
On typing the OTP number (See Fig. 3.19) the admission will be cancelled online. Thereafter
such candidate can not take part in the further process of admission.
2. To reinstate the admission: The candidate who wants to reinstate the admission, cancelled by
them as per (1) above, they have to give consent by clicking on Re-Admission button on the
Admission Detail menu (see Fig. 3.17) after login to the portal by using their login ID and
password. By doing so, OTP (One Time Password) will be sent through SMS on the mobile
number registered at the time of registration. On typing the OTP number as procedure followed
in (1) above the admission can re-instate online. The candiate has to take the print out of the
re-instate admission slip.
Note: The candidate can re-instate his cancelled admission for maximum 2 (two) times only during
the entire admission process, within time limit specified by the admission committee.
3.7 NEXT ROUND OF COUNSELING :
1. After declaration of first allotment of seats by the ACPC and online confirmation of admission,
by the candidates within the stipulated time limit, the ACPC will declare “Vacant Seats”, if any,
on the website www.gujacpc.nic.in and on www.jacpcldce.ac.in
2. After declaration of “Vacant Seats”, if the Admission Committee decides to conduct one moreround of counseling, the candidates will be given certain time period to give consent onlinefor participation in the next round. While giving consent for next round of counseling, thecandidates can upgrade their choices and/or fill new choices if they want to do so, otherwisetheir choices given earlier will remain unchanged and allotment will be made accordingly.
3. In case a candidate is WILLING to participate and take part in the next round of counselingin order to upgrade his admission choice, he is NOT required to report at the college allottedin the previous round. In this case, the candidate can wait until the allotment of seat in thenext counseling declares.
4. The candidates, who have not been allotted any seats in the first counseling, will have to giveonline consent for participation in the next round of admission process. The candidates whohave been allotted seats in the first counseling and are still keen to participate in the nextround of counseling can also take part in the counseling process after giving online consent.To participate in the next round of counseling process, the candidate has to login using hisLogin ID on the website www.gujacpc.nic.in during the specified time limit and click onReshuffling button.
3.8 COMPLAINTS/GRIEVANCES:
1. Any candidate, during the period of admission process, wants to lodge complaint/grievanceagainst any institution; he has to register his complaint/grievance through online by login hisLogin ID on the website www.gujacpc.nic.in during the specified time limit. To do so, thecandidate has to click on Complaint button at the menu bar on the top of the screen (Fig.3.19). In the text box provided as “Description of Complaint” the candidate has to type thedetails of complaints briefly. The candidate may upload document, if any, in support to thecomplaint/grievance by clicking Browse button. Thereafter, the candidate can view the status
of his complaint by clicking View button at the menu bar on the top of the screen.

4. MANAGEMENT QUOTA (M.Q.) GUIDELINES
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING UP MANAGEMENT QUOTA (INCLUDING NRI SEATS)
BY SELF-FINANCED INSTITUTIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-16
Guidelines for filling up Management Seats:(1) Each institute will have to conduct admission process in a fair, transparent & non-exploitative manner and no
eligible candidate should be denied issuing or accepting his/her admission form.
(2) Each institute would nominate one Nodal Officer from their institute for granting admission on Management
Seats. Name of Nodal Officer with telephone number should be informed to the Admission Committee.
Student as well as Admission Committee may contact Nodal Officer in connection with any complaint related
to the Admission and Nodal Officer will have to solve all such complaints within the time limit.
(3) Each institute would follow the time table given by the Admission Committee for granting admission on
Management Seats. Admission process will begin from 22/07/2015 and will have to be completed latest by
12/08/2015. The list of admitted students will have to be uploaded on PI (Participant Institute) module of NIC
webportal latest by 12/08/2015 without fail. The Counseling of admission shuld be started from 28/07/2015.
(4) If the schedule of admission of ACPC is changed, in such case the counselling schedule for the admission on
MQ/NRI seats by Institute must be started from the same date stated in ACPC revised schedule i.e. the
starting date of activity “Deposition of Tuition Fees in the Bank and Reporiting with Original Documents /
Certificates / Testimonials at Help Centres”.
(5) Individual institution or group of institutions on a common platform may conduct admission process of
Management Seats. All details regarding admission should be published in any one of the leading news papers
in the State having circulation of 50,000 or more copies and also on institute’s website. At least 7 working
days are to be provided for filling up and acceptance of admission forms. The schedule of admission process
should include dates for distribution and acceptance of admission forms, declaration of merit list and date
and placed for counselling should invariably be published in a single advertisement and the entire details are
to be provided to the Admission Committee.
(6) The institute will have to maintain a record of distribution and acceptance of admission forms in a separate
register. The institute will have to prepare merit list (inter-se) from the applications of eligible students who
occupy merit number of Admission Committee, display it on the institute’s notice board as well as on website
and a copy of the same is to be forwarded to the Admission Committee. All the students included in the merit
list should individually be communicated by speed post or registered post for counselling at least seven days
prior to the date of counselling.
(7) The fees for the admission form on Management Seats should not be more than Rs. 350/-.
(8) Every institute has to follow the said guidelines scrupulously for filling up of Management Seats. Any complaint
regarding violation of the said guidelines against the institute will be taken seriously and penal actions will be
initiated under the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission
and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007 (Gujarat Act No.2 of 2008) in such cases.
(9) Institute will not deny issuing or accepting admission form within the stipulated time limit to any candidate.
Even though, if any institute denies issuing or accepting of admission form, the students can take print out of
the admission form from the website of Admission Committee, fill up the form and submit it to the Admission
Committee with an Affidavit on a stamp paper worth Rs. 50/-. Such forms and affidavit should be submitted
personally at Grievance Cell of Admission Committee with Rs. 350/- per form, per institute as administrative
charges within the time limit stipulated by the Admission Committee. Separate form and affidavit has to be
submitted for each institute. Thereafter such forms will be sent to the respective institutions. The institutions
will have to accept such forms and include such students in the merit list of the institute.

Guidelines for filling up of N.R.I. Seats:In addition to the guidelines for filling up of Management Seats, the following points would also be applicable for
admission process on N.R.I. seats:
(1) The students who have pased qualifying examination from outside India and from India must have qualified
in NATA as per Notification. Priority would be give to N.R.I. candidates for admission on NRI seats.
(2) The students who have passed qualifying examination from outside India shall have to obtain equivalency
certificate from Association of Indian Universities, Delhi.
(3) N.R.I. student who seeks admission on N.R.I. seat will have to submit copy of his/her passport as well as
passport of his/her mother and/or father, to prove himself/herself as an N.R.I. candidate.
N.R.I. sponsored students have to submit proof of his sponsor being an N.R.I. Copy of sponsor Passport
(which contains signature of sponsor) as well as the affidavit has to be submitted. The relation of N.R.I.
(sponsorer) with the student (N.R.I. sponsored cadidate), sponsorer’s undertaking the responsibility for
payment of tuition and other fees as well as the entire responsibility of the candidate’s study should have
been clearly mentioned in the affidavit.
(4) N.R.I sponsored students shall have to be included in the merit list of N.R.I. seats as well as in the merit list of
Management Seats.

5. GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL MECHANISM
Grievance Redressal Mechanism is devised for the candidates during the period of admission process to lodge
complaints/grievances against the institutions/offices in the following matters:
1. Regarding admission process/help center/institute etc.
2. Refusal of giving application forms to the candidates by unaided institutions for admission on management
quota seats.
3. Violation of merit while granting admission on management quota seats.
4. Demand of capitation fees/donations against the admissions.
5. Retaintion/Non return of original documents.
6. Refusal of refund of fees.
7. Denial of cancellation of admission at institute level.
Any candidate, during the period of admission process, wants to lodge complaint/grievance against any institution;
he has to register his complaint/grievance through online by login his Login ID on the website www.gujacpc.nic.in
during the specified time limit. To do so, the candidate has to click on “Complaint” button at the menu bar on the
top of the screen. The candidate may upload document, if any, in support to the complaint/grievance by clicking
“Browse” button. Thereafter, the candidate can view the status of his complaint by clicking “View” button at the
menu bar on the top of the screen.
In case of complaints regarding management quota admission, he has to submit written complaint on the Stamp
Paper of Rs. 50/- and submit scanned copy of same by uploading on the web-portal www.gujacpc.nic.in as also
submit the original to the “Admission Committee for Professional Courses, ACPC Building, L. D. College of Engineering
Campus, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-380015”. Full name of the candidates, address, contact number, User ID/JEE
Main 2015 seat number of the candidate should be indicated in the complaint.
