The faculties from different departments will be present. A special admission drive is being conducted at the Khwaja Shauq Hall, Urdu Muskan Khilawat in the Old city of Hyderabad by the Directorate of Admissions of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. The admission drive will be conducted on 29th April with the focus on the local aspirants and to guide and felicitate them. The director of admissions, Dr. M. Vanaja has said that faculty members will be present at the venue from 10 am onwards to guide the students and parents about the admission process and other details such as the courses offered by the university and their prospects. The event that is being held near Charminar will also have a help desk facility. To avail the facility, the students are requested to come with passport size photographs, academic documents and debit/credit card for availing the facility offered by the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. The University has also planned to showcase an introductory documentary about the institute which is produced by the Instructional Media Centre. Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad has invited applications for 2019-20 admissions in its full-time regular courses. The last date of application for the entrance based courses in Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad is 1st May where the merit-based course admissions at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad will continue till 30th June. Seminar at MANU University about Islamic Studies Published on Apr 26 2019 | Updated on Apr 26 2019 Two day National Seminar “Islamic Studies: Concept, Present Scenario and Future” organized by Department of Islamic Studies, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in collaboration with Henry Martyn Institute (HMI), Hyderabad ended yesterday. The valedictory was held at Henry Martyn Institute, Hyderabad. Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MANUU in his presidential remarks pointed out that Islamic teachings encourage the aptitude of research and enquiry. Prof. Saud Alam Qasmi, Eminent Scholar from Aligarh Muslim University, Chief Guest of the valedictory, described the theme of the seminar as unique and very relevant. Dr. Packiam T. Samuel, Director, HMI, expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the seminar and indicated his desire to continue collaboration with the department of Islamic Studies, MANUU. Prof. Mohd. Fahim Akhtar, HoD & Director, Seminar, presented a brief report of the seminar and expressed his gratitude towards HMI, Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, PVC, faculty and students of the department. Dr. Victor Edwin, Guest of Honour also addressed. Dr Mohd. Irfan Ahmad, Convenor presented a detailed report. Dr. Waheedullah Multani welcomed the gathering. Total 5 technical sessions were part of the two-day deliberations. Scholars from various parts of the country discussed at length about the advent of the concept of Islamic Studies, its evolution, present scenario and need to revise the syllabus in tandem with the contemporary changes, new topics of research with reference to the future of Islamic Studies and necessity to link the subject with the prospects of employment.
