Why Integrate?

Both UW Colleges and UW-Extension

- Are statewide educational networks- Are gateways to educational access- Have central administrations in Madison- Partner with county governments- Reach new audiences in new ways to increase university degree holders- Have potential for reducing administrative costs

Integration could:

- Expand Access- Give the UW greater presence statewide- Create more bachelor’s degrees in Wisconsin- Strengthen county government relationships

Integration:

- Could create brand/identity confusion- Will take a huge toll in time/energy- Could hurt local/county relationships- Could be difficult to reconcile governance

and cultures of the two institutions
