VISITOR RESPONSIBILITIES Whilst within the ADFA precinct all personnel and visitors must:
• Abide by the Defence health and safety rules and procedures;
• Obey all safety directions given by ADFA or UNSW Canberra staff;

SECURITY / WHS Security and Work Health and Safety (WHS) at ADFA is everyone’s responsibility. Whilst visiting ADFA you are required to adhere to the directions of the Australian Federal Police, Security, Defence or UNSW Canberra staff.
Under the WHS Act 2011, workers and visitors have a general duty of care for themselves and others on site, these include:
• Being responsible for his or her own health and safety;
• Ensure that his or her acts or omissions do not affect the health and safety of other persons;
• Hazardous substances are not to be brought onto, or used within the ADFA precinct without prior written approval;
• Comply so far as reasonably able, with any instruction that is given by a ADFA or UNSW Canberra staff member; and
• Make a reasonable attempt to be familiar with Defence policy or procedure in relation to health and safety in the workplace.

The designs are realised to create a fully functional racing car.

Call up an Anzac! Do you want to find out about a family member who served in the Great War? The AIF database is an on-line resource detailing the experience of some 340,000 members of the Australian Imperial Force who served overseas. The NZEF database will also be available for searching. On Open Day you can use the advanced search engine and see how many different sources have been integrated to produce the most comprehensive profile of the AIF available anywhere.

Visitors can view unique and extraordinary materials collected by the University in a curated display celebrating the 250th anniversary of the births of Wellington and Napoleon. Two of history’s most famous military figures are Arthur Wellesley (better known as the Duke of Wellington) born on 1st May 1769, and his arch-rival Napoleon Bonaparte, born on the 14th August 1769. Come to the John Howard Reading Room in the Academy Library to see Wellington’s autograph, rare books belonging to both Wellington’s and Napoleon’s personal libraries, and hand-coloured engravings of their last battle won and lost at Waterloo.
