Exterior SurroundsThe Westpac Envirodome Stage is an Amphitheatre designed for outdoor presentations. The stage is actually an underground water storage tank to collect rain water run-off from the building.
In the garden to the northern side: Archontophoenix cunninghamiana Bangalow Palm
Building) and the adjoining Enviro Dome are designed to complement the formality and period of Minchin House as well as tying together the environmental elements of the Zoos new Enviro Dome utilizing an Australian Native Plant Palette.
The 4 formal geometric gardens at the entrance to Administration represent Fire, Water, Earth and Wind, with Brachychiton rupestris and Brachychiton discolor providing shade to the walking paths as well as framing the historical building.

The Millennium Walk was originally laid to mark this significant calendar event. Sponsors and the general public were able to purchase a brick for engraving with a personal, memorial or conservation based message to be viewed well into the future.The Path provides entry into the new Education component of the “Enviro Dome” including access to the Roof Top Garden for overnight sleepovers.
