Slave Installation Steps
1. Download the slave installer
2. Run the installer
3. Edit the firewall
4. Add the slave details to the UI
5. Check that the slave service has started
6. Check the setup in the UI

Step 1: Download the Installer
Discovery > Credentials > Slave Management Choose the installer to download The installer is pre-configured to work with the appliance it is
downloaded from

Step 2: Run the Installer
Uninstall existing slave software using the uninstaller Run the installer as a local administrator

Step 3: Edit the Firewall
Now check the slave’s firewall (if needed) Click on Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Windows Firewall Click on the “Exception” tab
Click on the “Add Port” button and add port number for the slave type Click ok and ok when finished

Step 4: Add the Slave Details to the UI (1)
Discovery > Credentials > Slave Management Click on the appropriate “Add x Slave” button

Step 4: Add the Slave Details to the UI (2)
For a Credential Slave Provide a name and the Slave Host IP address Take the default port and click “Apply”

For a Workgroup Slave Provide a name and the Slave Host IP address Take the default port and click “Apply”

Step 4: Add the Slave Details to the UI (4)
For an Active Directory Slave Provide a name and the Slave Host IP address Provide the domain Take the default port and click “Apply”

Step 5: Check the Service
For an AD Slave: Check the service is running with the AD credentials required
Start the service

Step 6: Check the Setup in the UI
Discovery > Credentials > Slave Management Check the “Status” is “Active” “Ping” option in Action drop down forces a reconnection test

Discovery > Credentials > Slave Management “Delete” option in Action drop down Confirm warning
Removing Slaves

Discovery > Credentials > Slave Management “Manage” option in Action drop down
Toggle enabled as needed and click “Apply”
