1- Putting in service Before using the tool, you must be sure that you have: _____a CE declaration for the tool,

_____a CE declaration for the standard items on the tool,

_____ a commissioning declaration,

_____utilisation and maintenance instructions,

_____the declaration of last test of tool under load,

_____an up-to-date and in-order maintenance book,

_____knowledge of the AMM task relevant to the use of the tool.

A manufacturer's plate must be placed on the tool, it must include:

_____the regulatory "CE" marking,

_____the weight of the tool,

2- General instructions a. Before using the equipment, you must, to ensure safe use of the tool and its efficiency,

read these instructions for use and comply with all recommendations given.

b. The instructions for use are not a training manual.

c. These instructions for use must be placed at the disposal of all operators.

d. Read and keep legible the instructions given on the tool. Do not use the tool if the markings are not legible.

e. When not in use, the operator will preserve the tool from all uncontrolled operations.

f. Before each use, check that the machine is in good condition.

g. Never use the tool if it is visibly not in good condition.

h. Never apply a load or a force to the tool greater than the maximum operating load.

i. Name of the manufacturer responsibility is limited to the installation/removal and utilisation configuration described in these instructions. Any use not in compliance with the instructions for use may lead to risk of damage to persons, goods or the environment.

j. Name of manufacturer declines all responsibility for the consequences of all modifications made to the tool outside of his control.

k. Read the safety regulations applicable to the tool and strictly apply them.

l. The head of the plant is responsible for enforcing the prevailing "user's regulations".

m. The tool can be used only by capable, trained and competent operators.

5- Installation/Removal Before installation

Check that the various items of the tool are in good condition. Check the validity of the last conformity check. Read the installation instructions given below. Check the strength of the bearing or attachment points if applicable. Before connecting the bleed test set, make sure that the stop valve is turn off.

b. Assembly / Disassembly of tool Use the tool only in daylight or with a good quality artificial light.

NOTE: In reason of risk of lashing do not disconnect hoses under pressure. Follow up the check list.

The operator must be in a comfortable and stable position to use the tool correctly.

Be particular careful during manipulation in altitude.

Never use the tool if elements are damaged or worn. c. Driver’s cab of the tool - 1 person.

d. Normal use - Before any operation, use the snaphooks attached to fixed points.

1. Turn off valves stop (1) and purge (2).

2. To connect the threaded plug (3) of the flexible device (040) to the bottle.

3. According to the test, connect the adapter (042) or (044) or (064) or (066) or (068) or (070) or (072) with the elbow (Y40604-15) of hose (108), then connect with the plane connectors.

4. Reset manometer (4).

5. Adjust pressure with regulator (5)

(*).

6. Turn on valve (1).

7. Operate the tests.

8. Turn off the bottle.

9. Blow off hoses by opening slowly the valve purge (2).

10. Select to zero the regulator (5).

11. Switch off manometer (4).

12. Disconnect hoses with the plane.

13. Disconnect bottle.

Testing sensor 18HA : - Replace the hose (108) by the hose (110) and

connect it on the sensor. - Performing operations as previously.

(*) Check the pressure at 15 bar (217psi) on regulator (7) when using hose (108) (*)Check the pressure at 3.1 bar (45psi) on regulator (7) when using hose (110) NOTE : Reset to zero the manometer (4) before each measurement.

e. Incorrect use prohibited Tool 98L36103002 000 can be used only to check the engine bleed air supply system. Any other use will be considered as incorrect.

7- Servicing and maintenance f. General Servicing and general maintenance must be done before each use. The servicing and maintenance of the tool must be done when it is removed or in a rest configuration. For the tool:

Examination of conservation status, operating test. The protectors and protective devices are in place and ensure their functions.

g. Specific maintenance Keep all connections tightened to ensure safe conditions of use. Regular maintenance is essential for safety and to keep a correct level of performance.

For safety reasons, do not use the tool with damaged or worn components.

Worn components must be replaced, not repaired.

Use original parts. Parts of inferior quality could damage the tool and be a risk to safety.

8- Tool Test AIRBUS recommends that a pressure test is conducted every 6 months in agreement with French legislation. If the frequency of these pressure tests is more critical in the country where the tool is used, AIRBUS recommends that the user complies with the frequency of the pressure tests in the country where the tool is used. The periodic pressure test has to be done with a factor of 1.5. Test 1 - Hose equiped + Subset short bend :

9- Removing from service When removing from service, the user must check that:

No load remains suspended. If the tool is removed, it must be stored in its case. During short-term removal from service, if the tool remains installed on the

aircraft, make sure that the installation is correct. For long-term removal from service, the tool must be removed and stored in its

case.

10- Scrapping If the condition of the tool is obsolete and liable to cause risks, the user must ensure that it will be made inoperative.

Cet outillage entre dans le champ d'application de la directive "Equipements souspression" 97/23/CE règlementant, sur le plan sécurité et santé, la conception et la misesur le marché de ces équipements dans l'Union Européenne. La conception de cet outillage aété réalisé par AIRBUS-SAS dans le respect de cette règlementation. Lors de la mise sur lemarché de chaque exemplaire de cet outillage, le fabricant doit respecter les exigencesdétaillées ci-dessous.

- MARQUAGE: Pour être conforme aux exigences règlementaires, le marquage doit indiquer: - L'identité du fabricant. - L'identitification de la masse de l'outillage. - L'année de construction. - Le numéro de l'outillage (et éventuellement ses principaux sous-ensembles). - UTILISATION: Lors de sa livraison, le fabricant doit joindre à l'outillage: - La notice d'utilisation de l'outillage et les annexes associées. - La notice d'utilisation des éléments du commerce.

MANUFACTURER REQUIREMENTS This tools enter the field of application of the directive "Presure equipment"97/23/CE, regulating, for safety and health, the design and the marketing of theseequipments in the European Union. The design of this tools was made by AIRBUS-SAS inrespect of this regulation. At the time of the marketing of each specimen of this tool,the manufacturing must answer to the requiements detailed bellow. - MARKING :

To be conform with the regulations, the marking must indicate: - The identity of the manufacturer. - The identification of the tool weight. - The year of the manufacture. - The tool number (and possibly its main subsets).

- INSTRUCTIONS : At the time of delivery, the manufacturer must join to the tool: - The note of use of the tools and appendices associated.

- The note of use of elements commercial.

- "CE" DECLARATION OF THE TOOLS : This declaration must be established according to the model or lawful

regulations and the manufacturer and/or salesman must join it to the tool.

- "CE" DECLARATION OF THE COMMERCIAL ELEMENTS : For each commercial element of the tools, the manufacturer and/or salesman must join the element CE declaration to the tool. The application of the rules above allows to respect the European requirements

about tools integrated safety.
