The shape of this matrix of moving image activity is not constant it changes as levels of activity change. It is always expanding as the amount of moving image material generated increases in volume and diversity, as a fi eld it does not always expand outward but it grows in density. I have changed the triangle from its previous shape an equilateral triangle to indicate the form I feel best represents the shape of samples.

MAP OF MOVING IMAGE SAMPLES
GF: Is shown as a narrow band of moving image activity. with only a few practitioners consistently making them. I have located it closer on the Y axis to MG than CF in order in indicate its origins. Its makers come from MG and static graphic design. Its use of languages is mixed evenly.
CF: Is in reality a much wider angle or scope of activity but this map is based on the samples I have located only. In the fi rst instance (version 5) I was collecting examples of MG to locate models with which to inform my work.
MG: Is shown as having widest angle of activity this is a distortion of MI activity and is a result of the approach I have taken to gather samples.
