Newly proposed projects for the year 2014-2016 by Chairman and Secretary of IMA AMS H.Qrs:

1. To increase the IMA AMS Life Membership from 11,000 to 20,000 by the end of December 2016.

2. To promote IMA AMS Fellowships and Professorships.

3. Conducting IMA AMS National Conference in addition to AMSCON-2015 Conference.

4. To Conduct IMA AMS International Study Tour once in a year.

5. IMA AMS wants to conduct meeting with all specialities like Indian Association of Physicians (IAP),

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (GYNOBS), Indian Association of Surgeons (IAS), Indian Association of

Pediatrics and Ophthalmologists requesting them to become a member of IMA & IMA AMS and protocol

treatment for each disease and to avoid unnecessary use of antibiotics.

6. Planning to come out with quarterly IMA news letter, our Secretary General as given permission.

7. Conducting C.M.Es all over India

8. Conducting 20 Fellowship Courses by IMA AMS

9. In 1st Governing Council Meeting we have decided to donate 40 lacks to IMA Tirumala Srinivasa Trust out

of that we have donated 30 lakhs to the IMA Tirumala Srinivasa Trust. This amount was collected from

course fee of Fellowship Certification in Diabetology (FCD), Fellowship in Certification in

Ultrasounography (FCU) and Fellowship in Infertility (FI) to fulfill the desire of Dr. N. Appa Rao Garu.

10. In spite of remainders we are not getting any course fee to the centre. I request all the State to take active

part in conducting the courses and sending to the H.Qrs share of 20%.

11. I am happy to inform to you during this year two new branches are opened one is Bhilaspur and second one

is Bhilai in Chhattisgarh State.

12. Our Chairman Dr. Ajoy Kumar Singh suggested during 2nd

Governing Council Meeting that every State

chapter should have own pan card and own IMA AMS Account. We are not getting any information so far

on pan card.

13. The chairman Dr. Ajoy Kumar Singh informed in 2nd

Governing Council Meeting regarding opening of New

Branch at Jharkhand, but we are not having any information.

14. Starting of Orations --- Dr. K. K. Panigrahy suggested to collect minimum Rs.3,00,000 for one Oration. This

is to be recommended to General Body Meeting.

15. We congratulate for conducting for South Zone National Conference on 1st November 2015 at Salem, Tamil

Nadu. Hearty congratulations to Dr. V. Sundervel and his team.

16. AMSCON-2016 is going to be hosted by Tamil Nadu State Branch.

IMA AMS has conducted National Conference 1st time in the history of IMA AMS. IMA AMS as

decided to conduct National Conference and international study tour every year hear after in the month

of August.

Jayalal, Dr. Raja Rajeswar, Hony. Secretary IMA CGP H.Qrs and other dignitaries were received by

Dr. P. Pulla Rao, Hony. Secretry IMA AMS H.Qrs from airport and brought them to Hotel The Plaza.

Dr. R. N. Tandon, Finance Secretary IMA H.Qrs, Dr. K. Shyam Sunder, President IMA Telangana

State, Dr. A. Bharath Prakash, Hony. Secretary IMA Telangana State, Dr. M. S. Hari Babu, Dr. V. S.

Rao and other dignitaries have joining of 16th

morning at 9.00 am. CMEs in Hall A and Hall B was

inaugurated and continued up to 5.00 pm, 9 CMEs in each hall total 18 CMEs. AP Medical Council is

accreditation to give 4 credit hours for this conference. Inauguration of National Conference is on 16th

August at 12 noon. Dr. P. Pulla Rao and other dignitaries received the Chief Guest of Dr. Sangeetha

Reddy with Kumbabhishekam and Sannaimelam from the entrance.

CGP, Dr. N. Appa Rao, Chief patron of IMA H.qrs, Dr. A. Marthanda Pillai, National President IMA

H.Qrs, Dr. R. N. Tandon, Finance Secretary IMA H.Qrs have spoken and told increasing membership

of IMA AMS. They expressed poor State of IMA AMS as more than 2 and half lakh of IMA members

of their not able to generate even 12 thousand. All are appreciated the work of Dr. P. Pulla Rao and

Ajoy Kumar Singh who are working day and night for IMA AMS conference. The Conference ended

with vote of thanks by Dr. V. S. Rao, then adjourned for lunch. Convocation was done after lunch

about 100 doctors attended for the convocation Mrs. Dr. Shadan Tehniyath Saheba, Secretary Shadan

Institute of Medical Sciences and Mohammed Shan Alam Rasool Khan, Chairman Shadan Institute of

Medical Sciences and Dr. A. Marthanda Pillai, National President IMA H.Qrs, Dr. Ajoy Kumar,

Chairman IMA AMS H.Qrs are the guest of honours for the convocation. Dr. P. Pulla Rao, Chairman

Organising Committee invites dignitaries on the dais. Lighting lamp was done and IMA prayer and

Physician prayer read by Dr. S. P. Singh all doctors appreciated 170 Diabetology students to the fold of

IMA. Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Bronze Medal was presented for the topers, about 100 certificates

were distributed and group photo was taken at the end. Convocation is over with by National Anthem

by Corus. 18 CMEs were conducted both halls, Hall A and Hall B and completed by 5:30 pm.

IMA AMS International Study Tour

In the history of IMA AMS 1st time IMA AMS Secretary and Chairman with the cooperation of the members of the IMA decided to conduct IMA AMS international study tour from Hyderabad Singapore Malaysia Bangkok Pattaya Hyderabad. 7 nights 8 days tour.

Tour is memorable, enjoyable by all members. Food is very good palatable suited to all. Our journey started at 12:50 am on 20th of August from Rajiv Gandi International Airport, Hyderabad. We reached Kualalumpur then proceeded to Singapore at 12 noon, stayed at grand imperial hotel at Singapore. It is very enjoyable by all at NIGHT SAFARI by seeing various types of animals. Next day we reached lion merlion, enjoyed giant wheel, after lunch Botanical tour by ropeway. We reached to sentosa, where we have seen 4D picture and laser show. Next day we landed in Sky Express Hotel at Malaysia. We have seen Sulthan Bhawan (Rastrapati Bhawan), independence square premises and Petronas twin towers. Next day visited Kualalumpur, Batu caves, where we have seen Murgan temple, Vinayaka temple, Shiva & Vishnu temples. It is a pleasure to see Murgan temple after climbing 272 steps. We reached Geniva time peace centre by cable car. Where some loose and some gain in Geniva centre. It is a memorable to see soldiers who were fought for the cause of Independence in Malaysia. At the end of the day we visited chocolate manufacturing factory. On 24th August we spend all the time by seeing nature reaching Pattaya by road. Next day we went Pattaya beach where we enjoyed coral Ireland by beach and mall visit. On 26th of August we visited Gems jewellery shop, enjoyed the taste of jewelleries, after lunch we forwarded to Bangkok, where golden Buddha temple, Buddha gnan

mandhir were visited. We enjoyed Cruise dinner at Bangkok and reached the Hotel Ambassador after dinner. On the last day of our tour in the morning we spend most of the time at Indra shopping centre. After lunch we proceeded to Hyderabad via Kualalumpur, we reached Hyderabad at 12’ O clock in the midnight safely.

April 11 & 12 2015 attended CWC at New Delhi. IMAAMS Hq Secretary presented status report

and We facilitated National President IMA and HSG .At Hotel Raddison Blu Dwarika, New Delhi

May 5th-6th 2015. Left for Membership drive of IMA and IMAAMS coverd Lohardagga, Latehar,

Gumla .disticts, had meetings and back next day. Overnight stay At Bishunpur Vikash Bharti Guest

house.

May 13th 2015 Meeting with Dr.Ajay Kumar Past President IMA and Dr. Anil Nayak past National

Vice President for needful guidance at Ranchi during their Visit as MCI inspection team.

May 19- had meeting with state Health Secretary IMA for IMAAMS Governing council meeting to

be held in Jharkhand besides IMA demands.

June 7-Bhubaneswar to attend IMAAMS state conference, and IMAAMS Governing council

meeting. with IMAAMS office bearers of Orissa and IMAAMS Hqrs.

July 23. Met Her Excellency Governor Srimati Draupadi Murmu,of Jharkhand and apprised Her

about the activities of IMAAMS, I then accompanied her for Health welfare meeting held in

remote Jharkhand Bishunpur.Julu 25 and 26th attended JIMACON and IMAAMS Bengal state

meeting besides attending State Excutive Meeting as Guest of Honour at Kolkata, Had Meeting

with Bengal IMAAMs I/c and State President Dr. Nirmal Manjhi and State secretary Dr.Santanu

August 1st and 2nd Went to Kolkata to Attend IMAAMS conf. at Behala, west Bengal as chief

Guest .Inaugurated the 4G free w ifi to IMA Behala Building. Its free for all members using 4G in

IMA building August 15 to !7 at Hyderabad for IMA AMS meeting and course certificate

distribution ceremony besides IMA AMS academic faction.

August 2015 attended as Guest of Honour for IMA AMS National Conference at Hotel Plaza,

Hyderabad.

September 6 Attended State Executive meeting IMA AMS & IMA at Jamshedpur, and announced

the National IMAAMS conf. date i.e 19 & 20th Dec.2015 As ,others had shown inability to

conduct the annual conference as promised before Sept 13 to to Oct 2015 Visit to Australia & New

Zealand.In Sydney on 22nd Had meeting with Dr. Hari kapila, Past International HSG

International College of surgeons and Dr.Mrs. Kirti Sharma for expansion of IMAAMS to their

land which they agreed on principal October 25- 2015 March on the street with more than 2000

doctors for the cause of ,respect to profession and respect to specialists for professional dignity of

doctors. Had meeting with Principal sec to CM of Jharkhand.

4 Nov 2015 meeting with Panchayat Sabh delegates 4000 in number, toaware then their health

demand and in return asked for security to our doctors and mainly the specialist working in remote

tribal area, besides assuring then time to time IMAAMS health awareness camp with medical

mobile unit of the state Govt. running under PPP mode.

22 Nov 2015. Meeting with Union finance Ministers MOS Mr. Jayant Sinha regarding specialty

promotion in nation in General and Developing sates in particular, and same day took Him for

inaugurating Burn injury ward in private under IMAAMS supervision at Dew Kamal Hopital,

and Routine specialty awareness programs of RPS Hospital Ranchi.

Till date Jharkhand enrolled approx 30 new Life members and 10 new Fellows , totaling to 180

Life member 4 associate life members 40 fellow of IMAAMS from Jharkhand. Membership drive

is on all over country

AMS Fellowship & Professorship:

I request all the States to gear up with more member enrollment, Fellowships and Professorships. You can

Proposals:

1. New Life member is eligible to become a fellow in the same year of convocation conducted by IMA AMS

H.Qrs.

2. A minimum number of 20 members are required to form a new AMS Branch Chapter.

3. A copy of IMA AMS Annals must be handed over to Governing Council members every year.

4. Any Certificate Fellowship Course conducted by State Branches should obtain permission from the H.Qrs

prior to start the Certificate Course. And the Certificates issued at the end of the course should be duly

signed by the office bearers of IMA AMS H.Qrs.

5. If the Member is not attending the convocation, Certificates can be issued after convocation only.

6. State Branches advised to conduct Fellowship Courses

7. We are looking forward to start an oration to be delivered at the time of AMSCON.

8. Members aspiring to become fellows of AMS are requested to attend the convocation of AMSCON to

receive their Fellowship Certificates in person without fail. Attendance at convocation is mandatory for all.

Academic Programmes:

IMA AMS Chennai Poonamalle High Road Branch Chapter conducted 5th Anniversary of IMA MAS New year commemorative family meet on 8th Feb 2015.

North Zone AMS State conference on grandly hosted by Mukkom branch at Hotel Malayoram residency on

8th February 2015. Dr. Gopalakrishnan was the organizing chairman and Dr. Shaji V K was the organizing

secretary.

IMA AMS Chennai Poonamalle High Road Branch Chapter conducted CME Programme on “Eye and Systemic Diseases”on 22nd Feb 2015.

Fibroscan Camp on 15th March 2015 was organized by IMA Durg Branch IMA AMS Chhattisgarh State. The free Fibroscan was organized at IMA Bhawan Durg CG about 60 doctors were served for their lever problems.

IMA AMS Durg Branch organised a Ophthalmology CME on 18th April 2015 Saturday evening at

9.00 pm in Hotel Avalon Malviya Nagar Durg. Topics presented were 1. Aetiopathogenesis

differential diagnosis & management of Floaters in the eyes 2. Dry Eye in women.
