1. Construct a box and whisker plot for the data by pressing <Znd» <Y => (STAT PLOT).
s, Press <E~TER> to turn the plot on. «v » one time and then <» to the box and whis-ker plot. The TI-S3 will have 6 choices for Type-choose the 5th one. The TI-82 willhave four choices-choose the 3rd one. Press <Ei\"TER>.
4. <v> one time. If Xlist is not set at LI, do this by pressing <2nd> <1>. The Frequency

7. Notice the <TRACE> key is showing the median IQ. Press <» once to see the UpperQuartile(Q3) and press again to see the Upper Extreme. By pressing the <~ > you canfind the Lower Quartile (Ql) and the Lower Extreme.
S. To find the mean lQ using the calculator press <2nd> <STAT> and then press <» tohighlight 0.I.-\TH. Choose 3: (mean). Press <E~TER>.
