Maths All Projects are compulsory

1. Find 10 pictures from the newspaper which show three dimensional figures. Paste the pictures in

a file. Name the figures as cubes, cuboids, cylinders etc. 2. Cut different Summer vegetables e.g. Lady finger, beans , Capsicum, drumstick, potato and onion

and horizontally dip them in different colours and print them on a chart paper. Try to make an interesting design with these. Identify different shapes.

3. Numbers 1 and 0 are two familiar whole numbers. You have knowledge of 4 fundamental operations of mathematics. Applying these operations and following BODMAS rule, form ten mathematical expression so that after simplifying it gives 1 or 0 as result.

The weightage of 15 marks for Project work could be further split up as under: Activities 1, 2 and 3 carries 5 marks each. For activity 1 & 2 : Presentation: 3 marks Write up : 2 marks For activity 3: Presentation 2 marks Write up : 3 marks

Roll No.28 onwards – Prepare a toy room model (kitchen/bedroom/study room) using different kinds of materials. Classify them keeping in mind their properties such as rough,smooth insulator, conductor magnetic-non magnetic etc. Write on a sheet along with the model 8 marks (B ) Prepare a full chart on ivory sheet with 1 inch black border on the following topic- Roll No.1 to 13 – Water purification systems such as Zero B, candle filters, aqua guard, RO filters. Roll No. 14 to 27 – Stick 10 food labels from food products and list their carbohydrate, protein and fat content. You may include Amul Butter, pasta treat, uncle chips etc. Roll No.28 onwards – Draw 10 fruits used as a vegetable or spices.Mention their botanical names and uses in food preparations. 7 marks

Social Science Type of Task – Individual Project accompanied by models and viva/ presentation on the topic. Plan a visit to the National Museum of Art and History and study the excavated objects of Indus Valley Civilization displayed there

a) Make a Project Report of 15-20 pages highlighting the following: - What is civilization? - Some early river valley civilizations like Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Chinese and give special

emphasis to Indus Valley civilization - Life of the people - Their arts & artifacts like ornaments, toys, seals etc. - Also show the above civilizations on a world map and include it in the Project Report

b) Also make 2-3 seals of square and oblong shapes with coloured clay/Jewellery with beads and thread and pottery
