Activating Flash in Your Web Browser “Adobe Flash Player is computer software for using content created on the Adobe Flash platform, including viewing multimedia contents, executing rich Internet applications, and streaming audio and video. Flash Player can run from a web browser as a browser plug-in or on supported mobile devices.” Adobe announced that Flash will be discontinued by the end of 2020, but most web browsers have already disabled flash from running by default. When using the CMS portion of Digication, you need to make sure that Flash is enabled in your web browser, since there are components of the CMS that use Flash. To enable Flash in your browser follow these steps: FireFox 1. Go to the page of your website that uses “Flash.” Where the flash element should be, you will be prompted to “Run Adobe Flash.” Click the icon. (See image 1.1) Image 1.1 2. In the Address bar you will receive a message asking “Do you want to allow adobe Flash to run on this….” Click “Allow” (See image 1.2) Image 1.2
