To implement modern teaching techniques to improve students’ understanding of
English Language.
Long Term Goals
To encourage students for teamwork as well as individual participation.
To upgrade use of efficient resources in the classroom.
To get students interested in learning by respecting and listening to everyone's views.
Short Term Goals
I will motivate students to form groups and discuss content that requires creativity.
I will provide students with chances to think and learn ‘out of the box’
I will ask questions that would test the pool of ideas of a group, e.g. designing an advertisement.
I will allow students to use modern tools to simplify learning, e.g. use of electronic dictionary.
Instructional Strategies and Tasks
Headmistress may not approve of my new methods.
Some students may feel shy in group discussions.
Parents may show dissatisfaction.
I will show an outline of the plan to my Head and highlight the areas that need attention. I will encourage random group formation to keep the situation unbiased.I will have meetings with parents and illustrate the importance for a change.
