Your mission You have to prepare a speech and you are asked to speak in front of the crowd. Choose one of these two topics : Cause number 1: You take part in a march and you have to deliver a speech against modern slavery in Washington DC - while on an exchange programme with your university. DC Stop Modern Slavery is an all-volunteer grassroots organization that aspires to end modern slavery via community education and action, by teaching and encouraging the DC area to get more involved with the issue. With over 2,000 participants in the walk last year, DC Stop Modern Slavery was able to distribute $100,000 to anti-trafficking groups all over the world.

Walk begins at 10 a.m.

Your mission You have to prepare a speech because you are going to attend a conference and you were asked to speak in front of the crowd. Your mission is fundraising. Choose one of these two topics : Cause number 2: You are a trainee in a charity shop in England (Oxfam shop). In December, your boss has decided to hold a conference to gather money in order to help the poor and make sure they have a nice Christmas. Write your speech :

Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working in approximately 94 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and what it considers injustice around the world. In all Oxfam's actions, the ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful, to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.
