Every year we do something new, and this year

And check out our Dragon Paddle Boats down at

the Lake! They were a favorite in 2015. All this

and all of your other favorites as well!

So, welcome! Settle in, kick back, relax and

enjoy making new memories with us here at

Acres of Wildlife Campground!

Come celebrate with us our 36th birthday!

That’s right! Acres of Wildlife is now 36

years old, yet staying young by adding new

things all the time.

Three and a half decades ago, Manny and

Maria came here and saw great potential in

this former Turkey Farm. Their vision quickly

became a reality those 36 years ago!

Acres is still family-owned and operated,

but we are now the family’s 2nd generation

(and growing)! We have such warm memo-

ries of our camping families, many of whom

are still camping with us after all these years!

And we have a great many new friends

with whom we look forward to sharing memo-

ries every year.

DID YOU KNOW that Acres of Wildlife used to be a turkeyfarm several decades ago and Wild Acres Turkey Farm was thename. Thousands of turkeys were shipped all over the countryduring the Holidays. In 1966, a campground was born. It wasnamed Wildlife Sanctuary by the Adams family who started it.The current owners, the Baptista family, purchased it in 1980 andAcres of Wildlife was born. Part of the turkey farm tradition stillcontinues; we still make turkey pies and homemade dessert pies.
