At the beginning of the 21st century, theconcepts of globalisation and theknowledge economy are familiar to all.

There is growing acceptance that we live in a world of whatone commentator has described as ‘global reflexivity’, inwhich local issues are affected by events occurring hundreds,or even thousands, of miles away.

In a world in which economies and societies are so closelyinter-linked, the value to businesses of internationallyrecognised qualifications cannot be over-estimated.

EDI recognises the importance of providing valid and reliablequalifications that cross national boundaries, and areacceptable anywhere in the world as evidence ofcompetence and achievement.

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)International Qualifications have been serving theinternational community since 1887, and are accredited andrecognised by an increasing number of governments.Theyare also used as benchmarks for employers around theworld, and for entry to higher education.

EDI’s commitment is to continue to work with governmentsand regulatory authorities throughout the world to ensure thatLCCI International Qualifications meet the highest standards.

This document has been created as a user-friendly source ofreference for EDI’s official accreditations and recognitions.
