ACH & Wire Features Centier’s ACH & Wire service is designed to make doing business easier. You now have the ability to make and collect payments or wire money online through your Centier Online Banking account.

This service provides you with the ability to: • Create templates • Save templates • Schedule ACHs • Schedule wire payments • Share account access with business members

Feature Basics

The ACH & Wires features are located under the Move Money tab on the main menu. You may have only elected one of these features. It is important to note that both are accessible in the same location. Review the basic information and interface diagram below for more.

ACH & Wire Terms

Payment Types Scheduled Payments Transactions will be listed under this tab when: • A subuser scheduled a transaction that is waiting for the account holder’s approval. Payments

can wait for approval indefnitely. Upon approval, the subuser will receive an email. • When the account holder makes the payment it will be listed as Scheduled temporarily for about

5 minutes. No approval is required in this case.

Approved Payments Transactions will be listed under this tab when: • An account holder schedules a transaction. By submitting the transaction the account holder is

automatically approving the transaction for processing. • A subuser’s scheduled payment has been approved by the account holder.

Declined Payments Transactions will be listed under this tab when: • A subuser’s scheduled payment is declined by the account holder. They will receive an email. • An account holder cancels a transaction. • Centier Bank has declined the transaction.

To determine if Centier has approved an ACH or Wire: 1. Locate the payment in one of the tabs. 2. Click the Options link for the item and then select the View Details option. 3. The Status will indicate ‘FI Approval Pending’ until Centier approves the transaction. Once

approved by the account holder, it will move to the “Approved” tab. Account holders will receive an email when an approval or decline takes place.

Payment Types When you make, collect, or create ACH & Wire payments and templates you will choose a Payment type from a drop-down menu. Review the types below for more information.

• Commercial (CCD) - Commercial should be used when both parties, you and the person you are paying/charging, are a business.

• Consumer (PPD) - Consumer should be used for all entries that are to a consumer’s (or individual’s) account. It should not be used for Payroll.

• Domestic Wire - Domestic Wire should be used for wires that are sent inside the United States.

• International Wire - International wires should be used for wires that are sent outside of the United States.

• Payroll - Payroll should ONLY be used for payroll entries.

• Web-initiated entries (WEB) - Web should NEVER be used, transactions will be declined if chosen.

Make a One-Time ACH Payment 1. Written authorization is not required for sending payments, but can be helpful in obtaining accurate account

information. A sample credit authorization can be found on page 19. 2. Select the Make payments option under ‘What do you want to do?’ 3. Select Make a one time payment from the ‘How do you want to pay?’ drop-down window. 4. Click the Funding account drop-down window and select the account that will fund the payment. 5. Click the Payment type drop-down menu to make your selection. Selecting Consumer will result in entering consumer

information, selecting Commercial will result in entering recipient information. 6. Enter a Payment Name if desired. You are required to enter a Payment Description. 7. Always select One settlement entry per batch ofset as your settlement preference.

8. Click the Add A Consumer/Recipient button. Enter the contact, addenda, and payment information. When you are done, click the Save button to continue. The consumer/ recipient information will be listed. Click their name to edit their information.

9. Click the Calendar Icon to select the payment process date. The ‘Deliver On” date defaults to the next business day if initiating the payment before the 3 p.m. CST cutof time.

10. Click the Pay button to submit the payment. If the ACH amount exceeds the daily or transactional limit, a warning message will appear. You will need to adjust the ACH amount to below the threshold. Once corrected, click the Continue to review button to move forward.

11. A window will open to confrm you are the account holder. Select either the Call me or Text me button based on your preference. Follow the prompts to confrm your account. Do not close this window while responding to the call or text. It will cancel the process.

12. Once confrmed, your online bank account will reflect the scheduled payment with an option to save it as a template. 6

Make a Template-based ACH Payment 1. Written authorization is not required for sending payments, but can be helpful in obtaining accurate ac-

5. The template will open with pre-populated information. The recipient’s information will be listed. 6. If prenote was checked on your template and is still processing, the transaction will not be included. Prenotes

are $0 entries used to verify the receiving account number is valid.

Example: If a prenote is created on Monday, the earliest Deliver On (efective date) is Friday.

7. Adjust the payment amount and the ‘Deliver On’ date. You can also click the Edit template link in the upper-right corner of the template window.

8. Once all the information is entered, click the Continue to review button to review, confrm details, and click Pay to submit your payment. If the ACH amount exceeds the daily or transactional limit, a warning message will appear. You will need to adjust the ACH amount to below the threshold. Once corrected, click the Continue to review button to move forward.

Collect a One-Time ACH 1. Written authorization is required for all collected payments. A sample authorization for entries to corporate accounts

can be found on page 17, and a sample authorization for entries to consumer accounts can be found on page 18. 2. Select the Collect payments option under ‘What do you want to do?’ 3. Select Collect a one time payment from the ‘How do you want to collect money?’ drop-down window. 4. Click the Funding account drop-down window and select the account that will fund the payment. 5. Click the Payment type drop-down menu to make your selection. Selecting Consumer will result in entering consumer

Collect a Template-based ACH 1. Written authorization is required for all collected payments. A sample authorization for entries to corporate

Send a One-Time Wire 1. Select the Make payments option

under ‘What do you want to do?’ 2. Select Make a one time payment from

the ‘How do you want to pay?’ drop-down window.

3. Click your Funding account drop-down window and select the account that will fund the wire.

4. Select your Payment type from the drop-down window (International or Domestic Wire). Selecting Consumer will result in entering consumer information, select-ing Commercial will result in entering recipient information.

5. Enter a Payment name if desired, this is an optional feld.

6. Enter the required information in the Benefciary information section, optional felds are identifed.

7. Enter the Wire routing number in the ‘Benefciary bank information’ area. You have the option to add a message to the benefciary bank.

8. You have the ability to add an Intermediary bank account in the event the benefciary’s bank does not recieve Wires directly.

9. Add the payment amount and the ‘Send On’ date in the ‘Payment information’ area.

10. Click the Continue to review button to continue. If the Wire amount exceeds the daily or transactional limit, a warning message will appear. You will need to adjust the Wire amount to below the threshold. Once corrected, click the Continue to review button to move forward.

11. Review the payment. Click the Go back button to edit information. Click the Pay button to schedule the transfer.

12. A window will open to confrm you are the account holder. Select either the Call me or Text me button based on your preference. Follow the prompts to confrm your account. Do not close this window while responding to the call or text. It will cancel the process.

13. Your online banking account will reflect the scheduled Wire with an option to save it as a template.

Send a Template-based Wire 1. Select the Make payments option under ‘What do you want to do?’ 2. Select Use a template from the ‘How do you want to pay?’ drop-down window. 3. You can select from one of your pre-created template options, or select the Add a new template link

to create one. The template will populate once-clicked. (See page 13 for template creation instructions)

4. The template will open with pre-populated information. The recipient’s information will be listed. Click the Edit template link in the top-right corner of the webpage to edit the template information.

5. Enter the Wire amount in the text feld located in the template’s second box.

6. Enter the purpose for the Wire in the provided box. 7. The Benefciary bank will populate in the

template. You are able to add a short message for the benefciary bank.

8. Click the Calendar icon to set your ‘Send On’ date. This is the date your Wire will be initiated. The Send On date defaults to the current business day if initiating before the 3 p.m. CST cutof time.

9. Click the Continue to review button to move forward, and the Cancel button to stop the process. If the Wire amount exceeds the daily or transactional limit, you will not be taken to the Wire preview. A warning message will appear. You will need to adjust the Wire amount to below the threshold. Once corrected, click the Continue to review button to move forward.

10. Once clicked, you will see a preview of the Wire. Click Pay to schedule the Wire or Go back to edit the Wire.

11. A window will open to confrm you are the account holder. Select either the Call me or Text me button based on your preference. Follow the prompts to confrm your account. Do not close this window while responding to the call or text. It will cancel the process.

12. Once confrmed, your online banking account will reflect the scheduled Wire with an option to save it as a template.

Create or Manage ACH/Wire Templates 1. Hover over the Move Money tab on the main menu

and click the Manage ACH/Wire Templates option. 2. This will open the Manage payment templates page.

• Use the Showing drop-down window to display specifc template types.

• Use the Search feld to fnd templates. • Click the Options links to manage the templates.

3. Click the + Add a template button to create a template.

4. Add the Template name in the frst text feld 5. Select the Funding Account from the

drop-down menu. 6. Select your Template type from the

drop-down menu. DO NOT select the Web-initated entires option, your batches will be rejected. Selecting Consumer will result in entering consumer information, selecting Commercial will result in entering recipient information.

7. Select the radio button which determines if the template will be used to make or collect payments.

8. The ‘ACH Company ID’ will be auto flled. 9. Add an optional Template Description. 10. Always select One settlement entry per

batch ofset as your settlement preference.

11. Click the Add A Consumer/Recipient button. 12. This will open a new page. Enter contact,

account, addenda, and payment information. 13. If prenote was checked on your template and

16. To add a prenote to an individual, select the checkbox beside their name and click the Create prenote button.

17. Review the template information. When you are satisfed with the template click the Save template button to continue.

18. Your template will appear in the list of saved templates.

Share Account Access 1. Hover over the Additional Services tab in the main menu and click the Share Account Access option. 2. This will load the Account Access page. You can review those on your account here. Toggle individual account access

on and of from the Access area. 3. Click the Options link beside each individual to update their profle, reset their password, or remove their profle. 4. Click the + Add Person button to add an individual.

5. Add the person’s frst and last name along with their phone number and email address. 6. Determine which accounts they can access by clicking the Click to grant access link within each account area.

To give access to all accounts, click the Grant full access to all accounts link.

7. When you select an account you will also determine what they have access to. You can set their ability to view only, make internal transfers, or make ACH & Wire payments.

8. If you select the Make Payments option for ‘ACH & Wires’ a pop-up window will display. • Customize what they can

do by toggling the access Yes / No switches.

• Set a transaction approval threshold. If a transaction is scheduled that exceeds that amount, you will be contacted for transaction approval.

• Customize whether the individual can add or edit payees.

9. When you are satisfed with your selections, click the Done button to fnalize their payment option access. 10. You will see your selections listed within the account. 11. Once you have made all of your selections, click the Save button to fnalize the process. 12. Your account will reflect the subuser and includes the steps they will need to take to fnalize their access:

• Open the link they recieve in an email • Verify their identity on the phone • Log in to the account using their username and password

Approve Subuser Payments 1. When a subuser initiates a payment over their approval limit, they will see the message shown below.

2. The system will send an email to the account holder when a payment needs approval. Their payment will be pending approval indefnitely until the user approves it.

3. To approve the payment, the account holder should hover over the Move Money tab and select the ACH/Wire Services option.

4. The transaction will appear under the ‘Scheduled payments’ tab with a yellow warning which indicates ‘Approval pending.’

5. Click the Options link to Approve, Decline, View details, or Print the details. • Approve: If you

approve the payment it will move to the Approved payments tab which puts the transaction into the queue for Centier to process.

• Decline: If you decline the payment it will be listed in the Declined payments tab. The system will generate an email to the subuser.

AUTHORIZATION FOR DIRECT PAYMENT VIA ACH

This agreement governs ACH transactions initiated by authorize ________________________ (Originating

Company) to charge the account of ___________________________ (Receiving Company) indicated below.

Both parties agree to be bound by NACHA Operating Rules as they pertain to all ACH transactions initiated by

authorize Originating Company to debit the company bank account listed below, and acknowledge that the

origination of ACH transactions to the listed account must comply with provisions of U.S. law.

This agreement provides authorization for individual or recurring CCD transactions to be initiated by Originating

Company when individually authorized using the methods designated below. This agreement will remain in effect

until Receiving Company cancels it in writing.

Both parties agree that this agreement, in conjunction with any of the designated methods constitutes authorization

to debit Receiving Company’s business bank account, and Receiving Company agrees not to dispute any debits

with its bank provided the transaction(s) correspond to the terms indicated in this agreement.

Account designated below will be debited at least XX days after the invoice date for each invoice provided.

Receiving Company understands that this authorization will remain in effect until it is canceled in writing, and

agrees to notify Originating Company in writing at least 15 days in advance of any changes in its account

information or termination of this authorization. Receiving Company understands that because these are electronic

transactions, these funds may be withdrawn from its account as soon as the date an individual transaction is

authorized, and that it will have limited time to report and dispute errors.

In the case of an ACH Transaction being rejected for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Company understand that

Originating Company may at its discretion attempt to process the charge again within 30 days, and agrees to an

additional $ XX amount charge for each attempt returned NSF which will be initiated as a separate transaction

from the authorized payment. Receiving Company has certified that the above business bank account is enabled for

ACH transactions, and agrees to reimburse Originating Company for all penalties and fees incurred as a result of

Receiving Company’s bank rejecting ACH debits or credits as a result of the account not being properly

configured for ACH transactions. Receiving Company acknowledges that the origination of ACH transactions to

its account must comply with the provisions of U.S. law.
