Vision ~ All children in Godman Guild’s service area will be proficient

in their education and life skills in order to become our future

community leaders.

Mission ~ The mission of A.C.E.S. is to provide students with innovative opportunities for learning through

after school programming that promotes strong academic, social

and leadership skills.

Elevator Speech ~ ACES provides in school and after school

educational support for students at Weinland Park Elementary. This is

accomplishedthrough fun hands-on practical

application; building skills to support students through to High School

graduation.

Our Target Audience

• A.C.E.S. serves approximately one quarter of Weinland Park Elementary School’s student population (90 students) during after school program.

• A.C.E.S. serves 100% of Weinland Park students and teachers during the school day.

• Through partnerships, A.C.E.S. offers family events to all families at Weinland Park Elementary and within the Weinland Park Community.

Tutoring: • Daily tutoring and enrichments

are provided in the areas of language arts and STEM.

• The Academic Specialist and Student Education Specialists develop individualized tutoring plans based on academic needs of students.

• Program volunteers work with students to target specific needs in the areas of reading and math.

Homework Help: • Provided daily with one on one

support to low achieving students.

Health and Wellness/ Violence

Prevention: • Students are exposed weekly to

health and wellness topics such as physical fitness, nutrition, and healthy cooking.

• Guest speakers are brought in to address the many areas of wellness: safety, fire safety, tobacco, drug education, yoga, karate, first aid, health screenings, and personal hygiene.

Defined Outcomes

• 80% of ACES students met academic outcomes in 2011.

• 100% of ACES students met academic outcomes in 2012!

Exciting Additions for A.C.E.S. in 2012-13…

• A.C.E.S. will pilot it’s before school program for families needing child care support before school opens at 8:30am.

• A.C.E.S. will provide day long in school support to teachers and students. A.C.E.S. Student Education Specialists will be in the classrooms from 9am-3pm daily.
