The Acergy Petrel is a dedicated inspection, survey and ROV light intervention support vessel with IMO class two dynamic positioning. This modern vessel, built in 2003, is equipped to support all aspects of pipeline inspection, seabed survey and ROV operations and can accommodate up to 50 people onboard. A free-flying work class SOLO 2 ROV provided an extremely stable survey platform, launched and recovered from the starboard side midships of the vessel. The vessel’s advanced hull design results in a high transit speed and minimal acoustic interference during survey operations. The Acergy Petrel’s state-of-the-art survey suite combines the latest high accuracy surface positioning with subsea accuracy provided by two independent HiPAP systems. Furthermore the vessel is equipped with hull-mounted and ROV-mounted dual-head multibeam echo sounders. Acergy Petrel Type: IMR and Survey vessel Classification: DnV+1A1-SF-Ice C, Helideck- SH-EO-AUTR-COMF-V(3) Flag: Luxembourg seabed-to-surface
