Lesson ProcedureLesson Procedure Divide students into groups of three. Based on typical

accounting enrollment numbers, I will probably have 15 groups of three.

Assign each group an “accounting mentor,” a Dodgeville

High School alumni currently working in an accounting-related field.

Assign each group the financial analysis of a corporation traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Occasionally I will look up the list of the WORST performing corporations and have the students analyze those companies.

One student is assigned the horizontal analysis of their corporation’s financial statements

One student is assigned the vertical analysis of their corporation’s financial statements
